Hi

I am starting this thread for anyone that is starting their weight loss in March.

I have read a lots of the other threads and have never ordered until today when I looked in the mirror this morning and did not recognise the woman staring back at me, she looked unhappy and ashamed and quite frankly fat.

I got on the scales and worked out my BMI is 32, until 3 years ago my weight was around 9 stone, I am now 13 stone, peri menopause, an under active thyroid, death of a parent and not bothering with exercise and eating too much has left me like this.

My goal is to get to 10.5 stone by the end of May as that is when my son get married, and then keep going.

So who would like to join me, where we can support each other and go onto bigger and better things in life

I couldn't resist a sneaky mid-week weigh in after my W1 jab and I've lost 7lbs!! can't believe it

1st jab -13th March SW 11st 10lbs
16th March CW 11st 3lbs

It must be mostly water right?

I'm hoping for a steady 1-2lbs a week once it calms down but holy moly wasn't expecting that!!

Anyone else in the same boat??

SmallSoupcon · 16/03/2025 08:21

I'm wondering if I should switch pharmacies to one which offers maintenance. I've started with Med Express (BMI 29 with high BP) but I'm now thinking I should switch for my next pen, and before my BMI drops.
I have ADHD and my dopamine-seeking binge eating is going to come back with a vengeance when I stop MJ.

Any pharmacy recommendations?

I had a sneaky peek earlier this week and had lost 7lbs too. Frustratingly when it came to Friday weigh day I'd "only" lost 6lbs as my weight had gone back up. I know there are lots of daily fluctuations so it's cemented my plan to only weigh weekly as I should have been delighted with 6lbs off but it felt a bit tainted because it had been 7lbs a day or two before.

It is absolutely amazing though and plenty of people are reporting big losses. Like you, I think a lot of mine was water weight but I definitely feel less bloated.

@Shalalalaboomboomyes. I lost 6lbs in my first week (at one point midweek the scales said 8lbs but I gained a little at the end of the week) and like you assumed it couldn’t be sustainable. At the end of week two I lost another 6lbs. I’m expecting it to calm down at some point and like you I’ll be happy with just a 1 or 2lb loss each week so long as it’s a continuously loss.

PlexGirl34 · 16/03/2025 09:20

Hi hoping to join this forum if that’s ok. Recently new to mums net too. I took my first mj 2.5 on Thursday last week. So far so good only side effect was a headache on night 2 and feel less hungry or motivated to snack.

my SW is 13.4/85.1 kg hoping to loose about 4 stone / 56lb that would be my ideal goal I was a size ten pre Covid and pre the birth of my little girl. I have always felt ashamed of how I look from a young age but as I got older I started to like how I look until I put in so much weight.so hoping to gain confidence back along with exceeding and being there for my little one.

Morerollthanrock · 16/03/2025 09:29

I’m on week 2, only lost 6lbs in the whole 2 weeks 15st4lb- 14st12lbs, however I came on my period yesterday and i usually put on around 6-8lbs week leading up to period.

Really disappointing though, I’ve been exercising, eating nothing like I was before, so much healthier with much smaller portions.. really deflated 😞

Bipaloss · 16/03/2025 09:40

Jab and weigh day

Week one completed , jab 2 tonight
SW 115 Kg
CW 112.8 Kg
GW 75Kg

loss 2.2 Kg / 4.8 lb

absolutely thrilled with that loss!

MountainQueen · 16/03/2025 09:50

@Morerollthanrock
As disappointing as it might be not seeing the number on the scale going down as expected, you need to remember that you are probably losing fat and gaining muscle whilst exercising, also possible water retention that adds to the whole body weight. You're doing all the right things 😉

Overjiggly · 16/03/2025 09:53

Well done those who weighed and lost today.

My sulphur burps turned into diarrhoea in the night and again this morning. Feeling very delicate and nauseous. Going to try plain foods today and hope it settles 🙏

Didn't have any side effects last week so I think it'll settle as the week goes on.

A loss is still a loss though. You are 6 pounds less than when you started. Take that as a win 🏆

You're doing all the right things, keep going 👏

MrsAlwaysRight · 16/03/2025 10:11

Weighed yesterday and lost another 2lbs this week. Slow and steady 🤣

Plan this week is more water less wine 😁

Sweetlikeblueberries · 16/03/2025 10:14

Week 1 done and I’m delighted at how much I’ve lost (6lbs) even tho I know it won’t continue like this.

SW: 204lbs
CW: 198lbs
GW1: 161lbs for my holiday end of July - middle of overweight BMI range
GW2: ultimately 143lbz for healthy BMI

I am microdosing and will do a separate post about that as it’s been brilliant.

I’m so unbelievably happy to have feel like I’ve broken the back of my sugar addiction and had zero binge cravings in 1 week and really feel like I can do this. I’ve not got past 1 week of dieting for months because the food noise and cravings have been too loud.

I am 43 and was always size 10-12 until the pandemic when I went through a stressful divorce and whilst also having an awful time at work and am now size 18. I have much less stress in my life now so hoping that will also help the weight come off!

HuskyNew · 16/03/2025 10:15

Sneaky mid week weigh is -3lb after 4 days!
Thats HUGE for me, I usually can’t lose more than a couple of lbs a month! Hoping it continues

soupforbrains · 16/03/2025 10:28

In other news. Some of you will know that in weeks one and two I have had nasty side effects the day after the injection. I.e Sundays.

this week I am determined to do everything I can to avoid the vomiting tonight. I know nobody likes being sick but I am a borderline emetophobe so I really really need to get a handle on this particular side effect. So I’ve just had 2 dry crackers for breakfast and I’m now not going to eat again unless I get hungry.

I’ve used MedExpress for the first one - presume I can’t re-register with different email addresses and keep getting the discounts?

Probably not unfortunately

Weigh day at the end of W1. The rugby meant it was a bit of a boozy weekend - I had friends to stay and there was a lot of alcohol involved. So I wasn't too hopeful when I stepped on the scales. But I still managed to lose.

SW 10st 4.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed because of diabetes risk)
CW 9st 12.9 BMI 24.6
GW 8st 6lb BMI 20.9 (advised as target by doctor)

Super pleased with that - 5.7lb down in a week. I know a lot of it is water weight and loss will slow down now but I didn't think I'd lose at all on 2.5mg. No negative side effects but I really have to push myself to eat. Sadly don't have to push myself to drink 😂

I would be interested in microdosing please 🙏

Fingers crossed for you 🤞

My side effects seem to have switched to extreme tiredness. I keep wanting a nap!

capybaraqueen · 16/03/2025 12:25

sweetlikeblueberries please tell us about your microdosing. I know of so many people doing this and would love to know your approach and dosage.

CarouselQueen · 16/03/2025 13:23

SW 82.15kg
GW 67kg

I'd like to join the March starters too please. I did my first jab today, having watched the pen sit in the fridge for a couple of weeks as I was worried about side effects and not being at home if they happen.

I've been a 14-16 for most of the last few years since having kids but recently this has crept up to an 18 and it all seems to be sitting around my middle. I am a bit fed up with feeling so heavy and not feeling good in my increasingly tighter clothes. At least half of the problem is my love for wine so if MJ can turn that noise down a bit I'd be delighted. I had to start blood pressure medication recently and I am hoping to not have to do that long term.

I dislike all forms of exercise and enjoy nothing more than a nice sit down, but do force myself to cycle for the work commute to keep the cardio up. Not expecting that motivation to change but recognise it is the showing up that counts not the enjoyment 😅so will be thinking about how to incorporate some strength training at some point soon also.

LennyLooo · 16/03/2025 14:47

It's very strange what some of you are saying about Neurodiversity and general noise. I'm autistic and I feel like the constant processing of thoughts has slowed down along with the food noise. Typically I need to be constantly busy, but this weekend I have been just chilling and watching Netflix, more relaxed than I have felt for as long as I can remember.
