Wow who would have thought it

We are doing so well. 7mths

Hugs all the auggies and all of us have lost a fair amount of weight

Some still have weight to lose myself included

Equally a few are nearing their healthy bmi or have reached it and thinking about maintaining

And all I can say is an elephants penis 😂😂😂

@AuntieDoteI am pretty sure Ouschk will prescribe for you as they look at those on lower BMI's on a case by case basis. If you are worried then you can book a £5 15 minute consultation with Hira or another prescriber or drop them an email? They aren't allowed to condone using a pen for more than 30 days though due to the licensing requirements of the drug. Good luck.

I think I saw that Oushk will consider prescribing at lower BMIs if you have a prescription history to show them.

They have quite a long wait for consultations at the moment - I'm booked in for mid March to talk about maintenance (woo hooooo!)

My sleep to hormones ratio isn't working in my favour today and I feel awful. Feeling the effects of moving up to 10 last week too. Perfect timing for high energy half term children 😭

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2025 15:12

well done @WitchDancer

@Azuresky68 hope things are easier now

@AuntieDoteand @Timetochange24 sometimes you can get a consultation more easily by emailing customer service rather than booking via the website. @Timetochange24 well done for getting near to maintaining too! Have you got a plan in mind or undecided yet?

Azuresky68 · 17/02/2025 15:31

Just having a tea break from decorating. Despite feeling down in the dumps I threw away what was left of chocolate and sweets left over from the weekend....back in control again!

weaselyeyes · 17/02/2025 16:46

@Azuresky68 I recognise that self-sabotage feeling only too well. It's hard not to feel resentful that a coping strategy of eating and drinking has been taken away - even if you took it away yourself and it doesn't do you any good! I think it's also that when you're dieting you have a positive goal and a destination, and maintaining is harder to frame in this way. You arrive and now you just have to stay there - there's not this promise of things being better to keep you going.

I don't really have any wonderful advice. I guess we just have to get things wrong, hopefully recognise their wrongness a bit sooner than we used to and then move towards coping without that hard-wired impulse kicking in. I've tried muttering to myself, 'Will things actually change for the better if I eat/drink this? Will I feel pleased with myself for doing this?'. The answer is always no, but sometimes I do it anyway! I'm clearly a slow learner, but I hope to do it less often.

weaselyeyes · 17/02/2025 16:52

And lovely to see @eeeeeeeee ! Glad you're hanging in there and that you haven't been finding maintenance too much of a struggle, even if you've decided to ease into it again a bit more slowly.

whethertheweather · 17/02/2025 16:55

@Azuresky68 well done for taking control! I know I have no off switch when it comes to biscuits/cake/carbs in general so leftovers now go in the bin.

I love baking but don't do it so much anymore. Old me would have made a cake and I would have one slice but then I would have gone back into the kitchen over and over during the next couple of days to "just have a wafer thin slice" till it was gone. DH doesn't eat anything remotely stale so it would all be me. Now when the baking urge strikes we enjoy a slice each and then I bin the rest! I know it's wasteful, but it controls my dark side!

AuntieDote · 17/02/2025 18:35

Thanks guys - I was with oushk from my second pen I just haven’t actually bought one since early Dec when I had to take a break (and already had a full unopened one stashed at that point).

I will probably order another 2.5 from them and book a maintenance consultation when I’m a bit closer to that point - hopefully they’ll still prescribe a 2.5 as can see I’ve ordered with them in the past, I’m just concerned that as they see it I was on 7.5 - nothing for 2 months and then going back - I don’t really want to go into detail with them about how I’ve been using the 7.5 pen for lower doses as obviously they can’t endorse that

Timetochange24 · 17/02/2025 19:15

@Azuresky68 I think I want to taper down so that I can make sure my better eating habits are coming from me not the medication, then ideally stop using it. I still have about 10lb before I get into the healthy BMI range but wanted to make sure I had the appointment booked in plenty of time.

@AuntieDote fingers crossed they'll be able to keep prescribing after your short break. December wasn't that long ago...

Hi @eeeeeeeee good to hear your update!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2025 19:59

So Many of you nearing /at goal. Very envious

well done @Azuresky68 for chucking

yes all ok thanks @eeeeeeeee

@AuntieDote they will just think you came off it. If off for 8w you need to start back at 2.5 so works for you

Still not hungry. Ate a few spinach and ricotta tortellini, a couple of cherry tomatoes and half a small avocado through the day.

I'm not sure what's going on. I've been on 10mg for a while with no side effects. The only difference is that I've had a stinking cold which has now left me with a chesty cough.

Hello 👋 it's flipping freezing! Just trying to catch up. Hey @eeeeeeeee brilliant to have you back and hearing your news.

I've not much news at all, still in flare, the cold isn't helping. My appetite has been better the last 2 days and I've been trying to eat a bit more rather than saying I'm too tired to make a proper meal.

Is it spring yet?? I want to hibernate with my new crochet hobby 😄 not that I'm much further on, if at all but I'll keep going.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2025 22:43

Sadly not @NippyNinjaCrab

Morning everyone, hope you’re all doing ok. And keeping warm - am also permanently cold @NippyNinjaCrab 🥶
I’ve not had much to report, only lost a pound last week so felt irritated by that although obviously better a loss than a gain🤷🏻‍♀️ second 12.5mg injection at the weekend and hoping no further stomach cramps like last week as I’ve got a busy week with work. I’ve lost any interest in making food so meals have been toast and banana and things like that, I’m still getting all my meagre calories but no food is appealing to me.

SilverSprings510 · 18/02/2025 09:45

Another one who’s permanently cold here 🥶 didn’t eat enough yesterday but that will make up for the over-indulgence at the weekend - have a lot of plans this week as on annual leave so trying to avoid extra cals has been nearly impossible! I managed a 1km swim this morning and we have a chilled day today so hopefully get back on track for at least a maintain this week 🤞🏼

Ithinkimrincewind · 18/02/2025 10:25

How Tuesday is going 😂

I cracked and bought myself a new bra at the weekend, although I'd intended to wait until I hit goal weight before I got anything. I was horrified by the sight of my bust around my waist and couldn't take it any longer, especially as I had to go into the office yesterday. I took a bit of a gamble on size and bought a 34C - down from a 40DD previously. It looks so tiny, but it fits! I can just about roll up my sagging breasts into it without too much bulging. I keep feeling for that horrible back and side bulge under the band, but it isn't there to my surprise. Of course, I could only afford one (even though I only lashed out £8 on a cheapie from Sainsbury's), so I'll be back in the realm of roomy drooping tomorrow.

Yep I am always cold too. Much more so than before MJ. My feet are never warm, and when I am outdoors my fingers get numb. Horrible.

PoemsForTea · 18/02/2025 17:42

Hello beautiful people ⚘️

I was in the office today, first time in a couoke weeks (usually field based) and I appear to have started a Mounjaro thing 😆
1 person said Ooh, hi I'm on my 3rd week and I feel amazing. A 2nd said Hi, I'm on my 2nd week, its brilliant and a 3rd said you look fab, how have you lost weight? And she noted the name to do some research 😆

Timetofindme · 19/02/2025 06:34

Morning all

I'm on an in between dose of 6.25mg and have decided I've got to drop it back. 2nd time in 6 weeks I've had awful diarrhoea for 24/36 hours, waking me up through the night, but this time was capped off by being sick. I'd only had this once before in nearly 5 months so I think my body just isn't liking the higher dose.

Feeling fine since yesterday but due to inject today and decided I have to step back to 5.
What I can't decide is whether to jab today or leave it a few days (or a whole week) and then whether to jab 5 or 2.5 to let the levels in my system drop a hit.

I know any advice on here isn't from my medical professional etc but I'd really appreciate any thoughts please! I'll also contact my provider but am not hopeful of hearing back before I jab!
