Hi @CurlsandCurves can I ask which collagen this is thanks. I’m 42 and I’ve started to get joint ache! The joys!

The brand is called WillPowders. It’s headed up by Davinia Taylor, ex Hollyoaks actress who was also regularly papped falling out of clubs back in the 90s. Now she’s turned her life around and is obsessed with health stuff and bio hacking.

I don’t understand a lot of that stuff but I know her collagen works for me.

keeponplodding7 · 11/02/2025 22:18

Hi all! Advice please ….so I started on the 20th of Jan and haven’t had a jab since. I don’t know why…but I’ve since read/researched and I’m going to take another one tomorrow. I’m thinking rather then throw the pen away as it’s 30 days I could do a jab next Tuesday which would be 29 days which would be fine wouldn’t it? Then I’d need to throw away after using three doses….

mince3point14159265 · 11/02/2025 23:06

@usethedata definitely stick with whatever you feel comfortable doing; I know how nervous I felt doing it the first time! Always had a bit of a needle phobia so took a long time reading all the stuff on here before I could take the plunge.

Morning all, reporting in, no side effects so far. Not sure about suppression. I ate well yesterday, tracked my calories and was at about 1000 for the day.

DC made dinner, a cod, tomato, olive pasta dish, it was lovely. I excelled myself and had a serving spoon full of rhubarb crumble ☠️. I rarely eat desserts but rhubarb crumble 😍.

Feeling enthusiastic about the lack of side effects, I’ve just ordered a 5mg pen. I’m sticking with ouskh because I cba to switch all the time, there’s an ouskh Facebook group with codes for the month on it if anyone isn’t aware. I joined Facebook to join the group. I’m not sure how their prices compare but I paid £141 for a 5mg pen with delivery on the day of my choice.

My first drink of the day is now water with electrolytes and two psyllium husk pills. Unheard of, I’ve started my day with four espressos for at least two decades lol.

LillethCrane · 12/02/2025 07:10

Morning all. Took my first 5mg dose last night- fingers crossed!

Weighed in this morning and was pleased to see after maintaining last week that I am 3lb down this week. So 17lbs over 4 weeks.

Excited to see what the next 4 weeks bring.

Zempy · 12/02/2025 08:37

Also took my first 5mg dose last night. Woke with a very slight headache that I am sure will shift with a cup of tea and a couple of paracetamol.

I have been stuck at the same weight all week. Really frustrating but I’m not giving up. Hoping the step up to five will kick start my loss again.

Overall I have lost sixteen pounds in five weeks so I clearly have nothing to complain about!!!

Jins · 12/02/2025 08:53

On the plus side I seem to be maintaining very well. On the minus side I’m nowhere near my goal.

I was planning 3.75mg for my next dose but I think I’ll be doing 5mg instead. Looking at the level of suppression I’ve had compared to others I think I need to be on a higher dose.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 12/02/2025 09:02

Week 7 day 1 and I've stuck with 3.75 as I was so unwell after 3.75 last week. 3.4lbs lost this week, making up for a low loose week last week.

Morning everyone

It’s so good reading about everybody’s journeys and fascinating to see how different they are! Well done on the losses and nsv, and really hope the side effects calm down for this of you who are suffering. It seems ( in most cases anyway) that they’re hopefully shortlived.

I did jab 6 last night, moved it forward by a day as I’m away soon and don’t want to jab on holiday.
Last week was my first 5mg dose and I definitely had minor side effects, I felt nauseous all week, really cold, exhausted and had a headache, nothing that wasn’t manageable but just felt a bit yuk! Hoping that changes this week although I developed a cold last night so not feeling the best!

total loss of 21 1/2 pounds which I’m over the moon with! I ‘only’ lost 1 1/2 pounds last week but 4 this week which is unheard of for me!

I need to try to up the exercise, that’s my next goal!

Have a good week everyone

W7D1 for me, weigh day - another kilo off, I have now lost 7 kg since I started (1st Jan), so pleased! My clothes are noticeably looser, and I have gone from a BMI of 34.8 to 32.4. My Excel spreadsheet (yes, I know I'm sad 😆) tells me that with this trend of losing ~1 kg a week, I should be in the overweight category by end of March, and get to a healthy BMI by end of June.

Next week will be a bit different - we're going skiing for half term, so tracking my food intake will be trickier (eating in the hotel/restaurants, no convenient bar codes to scan, no scales to weigh out food). Plus, I will have to fuel appropriately in order to ski well (and keep up with DH and the kids!). Bit apprehensive how this will go... But it will be so much easier to give the hot chocolates with cream a miss, that's for sure. Probably a good test to see how I can work this without meticulously tracking everything I eat. Getting enough protein in will be the challenge.

@cloudjumper Would you mind sharing the excel spreadsheet? Or let me know how you record it on there? I would love to do something similar!

I took my first 5mg yesterday, 10 pounds down so far!

Seaitoverthere · 12/02/2025 09:54

Great to see these losses! @cloudjumper my starting weight was exactly the same as you. My losses are a bit less as aiming for 1.5lb a week and I am now 95.5kg and very pleased with that, my gain of last week has come off now plus a bit more and I am at 5.1% loss so another 2 lbs over the next week and I will be at the 6% loss that some sites say you can expect by end of month 2.

Very happy my body seems to have read the manual and is behaving properly 😀

cloudjumper · 12/02/2025 09:57

@ThatPearlSeal It's nothing fancy :-D I created a table where I log my weight every week, and then set up the formula to calculate my loss - this is how it looks. If you then do 'autofill' for future dates, based on the values that you have filled in so far, it'll give you a trajectory of the future loss (completely linear, but I just want to get an idea of what it looks like).

cloudjumper · 12/02/2025 09:58

OK, that didn't work, trying again @ThatPearlSeal

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 12/02/2025 10:03

Jab 4 done today, and after the carnage of last week I'm being very careful what I eat today, my poor intestines!

I've had a couple of days of poor eating, and I wasn't running while I was ill, so I'm staying off the scales until the weekend.

ThatPearlSeal · 12/02/2025 10:04

@cloudjumper Thank you so much!

I went skiing in January and I had one hot chocolate but didn't really enjoy it so had black americano after that, it was interesting to make that choice, it's a choice I always wanted to make whilst trying to be slim but this felt so different. I ordered what I wanted but only ate about half of what was on my plate, keeping to the single Alice if afternoon cake and no extra snacks (not because I was trying to buy I just didn't want them). I lost a pound in that week when usually I'd put on 3 or 4 despite the skiing. So I'd say go and enjoy yourself, forget about weighing and calorie counting etc and you might be surprised. Over the two weeks period I lost just over 3lbs when I have been losing about 3lbs per week but this is a marathon, not a sprint and I am excited about my next holiday knowing I won't overeat! Enjoy the skiing!! We will be going in half term next year and I'm not looking forward to the busyness!

Jins · 12/02/2025 10:58

Hot chocolate has been a real help to me these last few weeks as an alternative to actually buying and scoffing some chocolate. However is just the low calorie version from Lidl that you mix with water 😆

I’ve never been able to drink those milky versions loaded with cream. I’m very sensitive to the taste of butyric acid in milk and cream so milky or creamy foods don’t taste too good. Actually that’s an understatement - they taste of vomit 🤮

It’s a curse and a blessing - I find it very easy to resist the sweet things on menus but I also find I have to be very wary of soups and potatoes

ThatPearlSeal · 12/02/2025 11:12

Anyone else obsessively wishing time away? I keep looking at my Outlook calendar, and thinking "That week I will be on 7.5mg..." etc, or looking to the summer months, and fantasising about what size I will be by then (SW 16.6 stone, CW 15.9)

Such a different mentality to the "diet" than anything I have ever done before!

kmreeve · 12/02/2025 11:20

Note to self - do NOT have something with spice on jab day!!

Made fajitas for the family, I had some peppers and chicken on top of a salad while they had all the trimmings - but dear god. The nausea this morning was vile. At first I thought might need to eat, so I made a protein pancake out of protein powder and fought to get it down me, but I just couldn’t and threw it back up.. along with acidy fajitas!

now that’s all gone I feel much better

so it’s a No for spicy food 😂

IdentityCrisis101 · 12/02/2025 11:27

I have had some diarrhoea for the first time yesterday, I had eaten out but eaten a very small amount, so was shocked. Jab day today and weigh day also - I am on 5mg. No other significant symptoms bar that one episode last night.

SW 14stone 11 3/4 lbs

I have lost ove 10% of my body weight since January the 1st! My target doesn't seem so far away now, clothes fit better - I may even need to go down a size!

I was going to ask the same, I love this idea!
have a fab time skiing too, we’re away next week as well and will be interested to see how I do. I’m going to try not to overthink it. I’m thinking I will naturally not be able to eat as much as I used to anyway so hoping that making sensible choices will mean I stay on track but also enjoy myself!

edited to say, oops I see you’ve posted above, thank you!

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 12/02/2025 12:24

For people who'd like a prediction of when they might hit goal weight, the Happy Scale app does this.

EverybodySayCheeze · 12/02/2025 12:38

I’m on holiday this week (the glamour of centre parcs) and wearing a swimsuit that didn’t fit me last year!

Thrilled about that, but it has also really shown me that now I’m shedding the weight I need to keep on top of my toning. I’ve been running lots, but think I want to try and do some weight training to look after my muscle loss and tone a bit - but I’ve no idea where to start. I remember reading a few comments about people who do weights, could anyone give me some pointers for a complete novice?
