@kmreeve Do you mean you got 0.7ml out of a 2.5mg pen? If so, that equals to a 2.9mg dose

Yes that’s right

BlueLimes · 11/02/2025 09:37

@kmreeve there is roughly 0.4mg in 0.1 ml - so you’d be just under 3mg.

BlueLimes · 11/02/2025 09:37

Sorry cross posted. .

Wish it was slightly more - for more of a bridge to 5mg that I’m doing next week. Either way, saving ££ by doing it

CurlsandCurves · 11/02/2025 09:41

Morning,

W2 done and I’ve lost 3, so that’s 5 in total, I’m so pleased! Had a big event at the weekend and ate and drank rather a lot. Plus I was travelling for a lot of it so not able to make the best choices eating on the run.

For those asking about collagen, I’ve been taking the Willpowders one for about 18 months now. The first thing I noticed was my eyelashes, weirdly! They got really long and in great condition. I’ve got thick hair anyway so can’t comment on that. But my knees are definitely less creaky and my skin is the best it’s ever been. It’s just habit now to have a spoonful in my morning coffee.

Upperroom · 11/02/2025 10:34

Hi @CurlsandCurves can I ask which collagen this is thanks. I’m 42 and I’ve started to get joint ache! The joys!

Jins · 11/02/2025 10:46

I’m hopeful that I’ve now passed my sticking point. After 5 days with no change either way I’ve dropped another 0.2lbs to take my total loss in 5+ weeks to 6lbs.

I’m on the fence about doing a 3.75 or a 5mg shot on Friday. Halfway between what I got in the bonus dose and 5mg is 4.1mg so may do that if the calculation isn’t too bad.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 11/02/2025 10:51

@bigfatty my period was 13 days late, I have been having issues anyway as my antidepressants messed it up, but last month I was only 3 days late so I thought it was improving. Impossible to know if mj has caused the bigger delay this time.

Zempy · 11/02/2025 12:06

My constipation was so bad this morning I was seeing stars! And late for work.

I think I’m going to have to take senna every single night.

Looking forward to increasing to 5mg tonight. I definitely need the step up.

HI All
A lurker from the beginning of the year here, but I did my first jab on Thursday (6th Feb) afternoon but just feeling a bit "meh" at the moment really, both me and my husband haven't really had much in the way of supression at all, yet we keep seeing posters in the threads who clearly seem to have had huge effects so far and in the short time. We also haven't had any side effects really....
Does this sound right?
Both trying hard to stick to low cal, and to be patient.....
Would be lovely to hear from anyone in the same boat...
xx

MananaMananaPenelope · 11/02/2025 15:16

@Zempy I did loads of googling re constipation on MJ, there’s lots of posts on Reddit that suggest senna isn’t the best choice other than now and then. Something to do with how it acts on your gut, rather than psyllium husks or movicol type preparations that act by drawing hydration into your stool to move it along. Two of the Solgar psyllium husk pills a day have sorted me out and I clearly had a lot to sort out! Sorry tmi.

@obsessedlex 👋hello. I had super suppression and side effects for the first two weeks. Now week 3 day 1 after a pause and I feel nothing today. No suppression or side effects. I’m not sure if anything will develop but I’m not feeling anything much today.

I didn't have any suppression in week 1, had some on days 2&3 of week 2 but I'm starving today.

2.5 mg isn't a therapeutic dose. It's just to prepare your body so if you do respond you are lucky

The rest of us have to wait for the higher doses

Howinthehelldidthishappen · 11/02/2025 16:52

@obsessedlex totally normal for people not to feel anything on 2.5, although some do. The main thing is you're tolerating it well with no side effects!
I am one of those people that did respond super quickly, but i also have other health conditions which I think was a big factor.

obsessedlex · 11/02/2025 17:45

@Howinthehelldidthishappen and @Newshoesnewname thanks so much for sharing your experiences, we’re not telling anyone in the real world so it’s really nice to hear from real like experiences and that’s comforting! Maybe we not broken!

Howinthehelldidthishappen · 11/02/2025 17:53

@obsessedlex I haven't told anyone at all, I only have these threads, so totally get that!
You just need to remember you've started your journey together, and it is a journey! You'll get there 😊

I've not told anyone either.

cherrycherryblossom · 11/02/2025 18:25

W4D5 and I’ve just ordered my 5mg pen to be delivered tomorrow for starting at the end of the week. At the start of this week I was in two minds about continuing on 2.5mg or not but I’ve noticed the last couple of days I’m feeling proper hungry around dinner time and I know the old me would be reaching for a packet of crisps (or two!) to tide me over to my dinner being ready. Thankfully I haven’t had the inclination to do this (thanks MJ) but definitely feel it’s time to move up.

Jins · 11/02/2025 18:29

I’m in week 5 and suppression for me is there but slight. I’m ready for my meals but don’t snack at all between meals any more. I’ve had very few side effects as well. I feel a bit cold and I’ve had a couple of slight headaches.

I’ve lost weight gradually but nothing like some other posters have. It’s a steady downward trend though so I’m happy enough with that.

usethedata · 11/02/2025 19:06

I'm W6 D6 so my next jab tomorrow. Did 4 weeks on 2.5mg then so far 2 weeks on 5mg. So nearly time to order my next jab and can't decide whether to order 5mg or 7.5mg. With 2.5mg I had a couple of days of nausea at first then no side effects really. First dose on 5mg and I spent about 36hours on the toilet! But then no symptoms on the second dose of that. Have lost about 17lbs so far. Any votes? Stick at 5 or go to 7.5?

Suppression is an odd one, it's invisible, silent for me and it's hard to know what's suppression and what's will power.

I wasn't sure if I felt anything the first few weeks. I could have snacked, but that was boredom rather than hunger. I used the first month or so to learn healthier habits, work on a calorie deficit and work out why I was snacking so much because I want the weight loss to be long term. Maybe you can focus on that.

Randomusernameforcode · 11/02/2025 20:34

I'm a little unsure what to do. Supression on 2.5 was great but started to wain after the golden 5th dose. I'm on my second week of 3.75. First week supression was great. This week, albeit only a couple of days in there is defo much less supression. I'd hoped to get 6 weeks out of this pen doing 3.75 but depending on how the rest of the week goes I may have to move up to 5 for the next jab.

Just to add. I am by no means chasing absolute supression and zero hunger, but can really feel the physical and psychological hunger more this week so far.

Oh and lastly, was disappointed when I jabbed to see I'd put on 0.5lb. Had a sneaky weigh in today and the 0.5lb is off plus another lb so who knows?! Kind of understand why people prefer daily weighing for this reason but not sure it's for me, I feel I'd become overly obsessive.

You could always order the 7.5 and count clicks to get 5 (40 clicks) upwards depending on what level you are happy to try. Are you not getting the bonus dose out of your pen? If you're quite conservative with the priming, you should get about 0.7 ml which would then give you an intermediary step up between the levels.

Going on holiday soon, so started going through wardrobe to make sure anything I needed to take didn't need to go to the cleaners first! Normally absolutely hate trying on stuff for holiday (depressing AF!), but was pleasantly surprised that a lot of stuff now fitted again. Very much work in progress, but encouraging nonetheless.

@mince3point14159265 I haven't got the bonus dose so far, mostly because I haven't got syringes but also I had an issue with this pen and wasted some. Specifically, I didn't realise but the back of the needle I attached was bent so it didn't pierce the pen. I tried and tried to prime it but nothing came out. Then I took the needle off to investigate, realised the problem, attached a new needle and a bunch fired out! Will be extra careful attaching needle in future!

I feel somehow nervous about counting clicks. Like they have tested this regime of 5mg increments so why would I deviate. And how accurate is counting clicks. I don't know. I'm a total rule follower even if the rule doesn't make sense!
