@MananaMananaPenelope , please could I ask, what is the mag citrate that you use? I did a quick google on amazon and there are all different doses. The link for magnesium that @GrumpyMuleFan posted looks great, but I want to see if amazon can get something to me quickly.
Just taken a bisacodyl this morning, just to keep on top of things. I'm not going out so it should be fine.
Yesterday, I ate pretty cleanly: some salmon sashimi and nigiri at lunch, with salad. Then mixed leaves and a portion of Quorn Chilli Bites and kimchi for supper. Small portion of popcorn whilst I watched a movie with the DC and a handful of cherries.
@Jins, I had a tiny weight gain compared with yesterday (I do my jab on Fridays). 0.05kg!! 😂I'll keep my fingers crossed for your Oushk assessment.
I've not told anyone about the MJ yet. I don't want the comments, as I've heard enough people slagging it off as an easy fix. I have pointed out to them that things are never just black and white. I've had to take people to task in the past about the way they have spoken about people who are obese. There's never just one thing, it is? I have pointed out that my stats (particularly fat %) showed me as clinically obese, and would they slag me off. So, I'm keeping it quiet for the time being. When I finally got the balls to consider MJ (thanks to reading these threads) I was completely truthful when doing the weighing/measuring etc when I first ordered it and I know that if I didn't do something else to address my weight, then my weight would just increase (and so would my risk of getting other illnesses etc - diabetes and heart problems run in my family). An increase of nearly 20kg in 6yrs is more than enough. It's funny....just one person had commented on my weight gain and asked me if I was ok. NB I didn't actually mind the comment as it was from a good friend, who was just making sure I was ok. I may or may not tell her about the MJ.
A few threads back, I saw someone had written something about people needing fewer calories as they get older and I wondered if that was the case with me. Before peri, I was averaging around 1500cal daily (more often this was less). No problems and weight was stable. Peri hit, my diet didn't change, my job didn't change (active job - I'm a nurse) ...weight gain and increased fat% ensued. I started MJ, dropped cals right down (i.e. ate when I was hungry, stopped when I was full) and weight etc is now coming off. I read up about BAME people needing lower BMI ranges, and read people's experiences on these threads. It all makes sense...and it makes me feel less shit about my weight gain...despite working in healthcare for decades!!
I need to get off my bum and get on the treadmill/bike, then a nice shower, but going to have some water etc first.
