Same here. DH just asked if I have actually had any food, and I had to admit that no, unless you count milk in coffee. So I was told off and have now eaten.
have to be more careful with that, but it's still just amazing that I don't roam around constantly looking for food while trying to keep myself from eating it.

Drum roll please.... slow looser over here has finally hit a stone weight loss!
Really happy and it takes me just into the next stone bracket down which has made my day 😄

8th jab done. Week 7 of losses.
3.75mg is working well for me and fortunately no huge side effects apart from being absolutely freezing all most of the time.

Going to catch up in the rest of thread now and see how everyone else has been getting on.

Feeling 🤢 this evening. I’m pleased I’ve got another 2.5mg pen tbh.

I’ve forced myself to eat, half a salmon fillet, half a nest of rice noodles and a few bits of baby veg. Glass of water, cup of peppermint tea.

I’m seeing posts about people missing their periods or them being late - I’ve currently got the opposite. Got my second period since starting MJ the other week no problem (7th Feb). Just seemed a normal period for me but it hasn’t really stopped. Had my usual 4 day flow (think I’m peri) and then a few days of what I can only describe as old blood (sorry tmi) and now this has led into what seems another full blown period. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think I’m peri - 43 next month - my first period on mj was about 4 days late but lighter and shorter.

Ah thank you but I honestly feel like such a cheat! 😳
I’ve not touched refined sugar or wheat in 4 weeks - probably a big help?! just don’t fancy it but I’m also consciously eating the MM way and the MJ has given me the will power to carry on and say no to unhealthy options.

all this - touch wood - still scared I’ll fall off the wagon etc!

I think there is quite a lot anecdotally about it messing things up either way. I am peri but periods broadly light and regular. But maybe once a year I miss one so it may be that or may be mj.

My suppression has pretty much gone now. Have been hungry even after eating, a bit more craving of shit etc. I was planning to move to 3.75 this week (Thursday) but do I bite the bullet and go straight to 5? Have lost quite well on 2.5 with some side effects but am feeling a bit of my motivation wane.

Have 5mg pen available so can do either

I am 54, menopausal and have a coil. Hadn’t had a proper period in over a year and now seem to be back to full blown regular periods lasting 10 days 😳

Im peri and periods over the last 2 years have definitely been much lighter and not really painful though still fairly regular. Then last month got whacked with a period from hell. The pain was unbearable. I’m really hoping it was a bizarre peri one-off and not a feature of MJ as not keen to go through that again.

@myladyjane mine had become lighter and shorter (here and gone within 4 days) this last couple of years, not so easy to predict when they’d arrive. Got them regularly but was a lotto of would it be nearer 4 or 5 weeks between.

@NothankyouNigel I had a lot of lower backache going round to my side and niggly little period cramps for days before this time. The period pains seemed to have disappeared more or less over the last two years or so. Like you I’m hoping it’s a one-off!

Nausea gone this morning. Weight 100kg on the nose on weigh in day.

Ideally I’d like to get back to 70kg.

I keep telling myself that it hasn’t been four weeks yet and 4kg is more than I’ve been able to shift calorie counting in two years. If I can lose 4kg a month I’ll be happy.

A friend of mine has had 🌟 losses in three months. So much that she’s stopped after her second 5mg pen, but she used to drink 🍺 and snack so has made a huge change to her diet. I don’t have much to give up apart from one meal a day, shame. Always knew I’d be a 🐢 rather than a 🐇.

I had blood tests again last week and my Hba1c has reduced by 3. Post chemo that number has been just about pre-diabetic, 41 ish, no idea what the current number is, just that it has reduced.

It is hard not to compare losses I know. Mine is respectable not stellar (12lb in 5 weeks) and it's insane to feel down in the dumps over that but I do a bit so you have my sympathy.

Week 5 weigh in and iv lost 3lbs this week.

Total lost :1 stone 9lbs

start my 5mg pen this week after doing the golden dose last week. I have a busy day today and tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday- I’d normally jab at 9am today but will wait till after client meetings this evening to jab, hopefully I’m ok tomorrow!

still haven’t dropped a dress size, clothes feel better/hang better but definitely not enough to go down a size. Hopefully soon

so inpatient- want to be thin yesterday!

I keep seeing dress ideas for an award ceremony I have in middle of March, I’m so worried about my picture being taken.. so really hoping I drop some more before and can look half decent in a dress. Not looking forward to the dress shopping stress though !!

Went out last night and decided to order fish and chips. Ate about half of it, but have had stomach aches since 3am. No 💩 issues just sore tummy.

Yes, I am pleased about the blood test. I’ll find out more when I see my consultant next week. I think it just proves that for some of us it is more than calories in/calories expended.

Can I join the slow losers club? Week 6 and total loss so far is 6.4lbs.

For some people the calories in/calories out equation works but we aren’t bomb calorimeters and for some people calories aren’t all the same. I would expect a thread like this to be full of people that don’t find the eat less and move more approach to be helpful or effective.

Mounjaro quietens the noise enough for me to be able to think about how I need to eat for the rest of my life but it would be nice if I could reach a stone lost by the end of this pen

Yup - had three periods since I started on 1 st January, one v light and only for two days. Now had one for a week and a half, thought I’d stopped on Saturday but heavy again! Not what I want TBH

Morning, haven’t posted for a while. Had my first “big night” on Saturday after not drinking at all for 8 weeks. Wine went down fine but I was starving the next day and had crisps:toast just like the old days! Definitely think not drinking helps with the jab and diet (or maybe not drinking a couple of bottles)! Back on it now 😂

I certainly haven’t moved more, in fact less as I injured myself a couple of weeks ago and have been very sloth like.

that said I have been eating “clean” and I really do mean clean. No processed food at all. I am dairy free and don’t eat meat so my diet is mainly fish and egg based with grains and veg.

I have sugar that occurs naturally, fruits and such - all these foods naturally have cleaner calories - not all calories are equal.

I eat high fat foods like avocado and nuts.

I feel better, I do t feel sluggish after food. Iv had very minimal side effects.

my issue was never the type of foods I ate, it was quantity- that isn’t to say I didn’t indulge in a share size bag of crisps. But these jabs have allowed me to get back to what I know is the best food for me, taking away cravings and allowing me to readjust my portions to an appropriate level.

I drink plenty of water - I love water, I know some people don’t. I have gone off coffee which I believe to be a big change in my diet as I drank 4 lattes with oat milk a day, which was high in calories and carbs - now I have one percolated coffee with soy milk in the morning, and to be honest I don’t really enjoy, it’s more a habit.

Total loss so far is 12lbs. Reasonably happy but could have lost that myself on low carb and I’ve not exceeded 1400 calories and doing quite a lot of exercise, was hoping for more tbh. I do have food noise so suspect I’ll need to increase dose for next pen. I’m week 1 of 5mg.
Starting to think of long term plans. I’m hoping that once I’m at goal, I’ll be really motivated to stay there, not ruling out maintenance dose though.

Have just had mild nausea so far, I did do an intermediate dose on week 5 but think I could have gone straight to 5mg, had hardly any suppression last week.

SW 12.1 and a half
W1 -6
W2 -2.5
W3 -1
W4 -1
W5 -1.5 (4mg).
CW 11.3 and a half
GW 9.8

On a positive - I’m apparently 30% towards goal weight.

Dh gave me a little pep talk this morning to remind me it is working and I've never lost 12lb in a month before with relative minimal effort.

Like you @Jins it's quietening the noise sufficiently to allow me to stick to 3 healthy meals and a coupe of bits of fruit a day. That sees me in between 1100 - 1300 a day and only twice has that been difficult to stick to.

Meh. Just a bit grumpy this morning. Because I am feeling no effects at the moment and need to move up.
