@ReginaaPhalangee a latte can make me a bit queasy on the best of days!!

Stick to dry toast etc for at least 24 hours. I hope you feel better soon.

I am a daily weigher but am finding all the ups and downs disheartening, despite the overall downward trajectory. I think it’s my stupid ND brain winding me up!

W5D3 5mg
Lost to date: 5.4kg (11.9 lbs)

I had my first 5mg dose 3 days ago and I have had zero side effects, so I think the tapering through 2.5mg worked perfectly for me.

I did have a stye in my eye last week and have heard of several people who had the same, which is really weird!

Suppression is good and I have no hunger at all, though I am able to eat (I truly struggled to when I had my first 2.5mg shot!) - I am making healthy eating choices and have pushed past the loss plateau I had hit a week ago.

Feeling really positive about 5mg so far! I hope it continues!

This is encouraging. I think I’ll go for the 5mg tomorrow.

DareDevil223 · 16/02/2025 12:50

I went up to 5mg on Thursday. I lost over 8 stone on Wegovy and only have a few pounds (maybe a stone max if I go for a lower BMI) to lose. My BMI is 25.2 (was 44 at the start).

I switched to MJ because of the prescribing limit for Wegovy, I think I will need some level of medication for the long term. I went with Cloud after a lengthy correspondence with them and they've been great.

I haven't had any negative side effects but I am very used to WL medication after two years! I find that I have more energy on MJ than I did on Wegovy so that's great. Even on 2.5mg I lost a couple of pounds in the month but the suppression is much stronger on 5mg. I was going to have a small bag of crisps with my tuna roll but I've just put them back in the cupboard as I have no room for any more food.

Hoping to get down to my goal in the next 2 or 3 months and then start putting all the skills I've learned into practice for maintenance.

For me, WLI are one of the biggest and most wonderful advances in science in my lifetime. After decades of yo-yo dieting and intrusive food noise and food obsession I could never have imagined feeling so "normal" around food. Food is just food, not love, not comfort, not something to be scared off. It's still delicious and I still love my food (more now that I'm not abusing it actually) but it's no big deal. It's like a miracle for me.

Upperroom · 16/02/2025 13:07

@DareDevil223 its fantastic. When I think about it I was truly abusing my body. I could eat an entire share bag of crisps and chocolate and half a bottle of red wine alone in secret while watching some Netflix rubbish. I was doing this maybe 3 times a week. Just awful!
its definitely also balanced out my blood sugars as I’ve had no awful sugar crashes which would lead to more shovelling of sugar down my throat.
I'm craving healthy food and appreciating it more - feel sad they didn’t exist when I was a very unhappy and overweight teen. Though I know it would be controversial to prescribe for a minor.

*disclaimer this ‘new me’ is only 4 weeks in however - I’m of course petrified I might slip back to the old ways.

discoballv · 16/02/2025 13:16

@BlueLimes @Upperroom That is funny, as I also started around the same time as you both and the same starting weight! I am going to do the 5th dose on Wednesday and then move up to 5mg the week after.

I'm 11st 5-ish at the minute but the scales have been going up and down the past couple of weeks. I think I've broken through it though. I daily weigh and my weight fluctuates so much.

I'm also a Fast800/MM fan and have been eating almost identically to @Upperroom. I've had no refined sugar at all apart from one teeny tiny Kinder chocolate bar with my dd as she wanted to share. I really enjoy eating this way and my body feels so much better for it.

BlueLimes · 16/02/2025 13:21

@discoballv Ah good to have another similar weight loss friend. You are both going to motivate me to stop sneaking the odd snack !

I’ll be week 6 on Tuesday.
Hopefully you’ll see a big loss this week, let’s keep going!!

Upperroom · 16/02/2025 13:30

@ReginaaPhalangee that is tough - I’m a wimp and can’t stand vomiting. Do you think you were fully hydrated before your dose? I try to drink a litre of water in the morning before my weekly dose…

BachandBiscuits · 16/02/2025 14:15

Please can I join you? Week 4 D5 due to go up to 5 on Tuesday. Only lost 1 kg so far but no side effects so hoping for more success with 5.

Voy not dispatching new pen until tomorrow and no guaranteed next day delivery so worried that will arrive late especially as I am away Wednesday and post unreliable. They told me that next pen would be dispatched automatically but have a gap of 28 days between deliveries which is not sensible given that they use RM which can be unreliable.

So I am going to try golden dose to keep me going although I am a bit anxious about this. I know his has been covered before but please could someone link me to Amazon website to order syringe/needles and/or refer me to MN thread where this is covered. A bit nervous about doing this and getting right dose but also seems a shame to waste remaining dose.

Congratulations to everyone on your losses to date.

How much are people who are shopping around paying for 5mg pens?

I haven't shopped around at all. £140 delivered from Ouskh for 5mg. I've stuck with them because I cba, DPD is super reliable and I can choose my delivery date/get a one hour window notification.

I really need to switch. I'm with juniper and paying £209 per pen! The thing that puts me off ordering with Oushk and some other suppliers is having to send a head shot. Don't like the thought of that as I don't know if I really trust these brand new companies with that and also photos of our ID etc. I went with juniper bc they just asked for a body shot and that was it. But not really sure what I'm paying for as they've literally messaged me once since I started.

Are there any other cheaper companies that don't ask for head shots etc?

Saggyknickers · 16/02/2025 14:23

Upperroom · 16/02/2025 10:40

This is exactly why I think I’m tempted to go straight to 5mg rather than faffing around with breaking the pen. I felt amazing on week 1,2 of 2.5mg - loads of energy!

Me too and that's partly why I've gone up to 5mg. I felt amazing in weeks 1 & 2 of 2.5 mg and then seemed to slump.

MananaMananaPenelope · 16/02/2025 14:24

I bought ten of these for £6.40 with delivery. Haven’t used them yet and I’ll be binning my pen after the fourth dose tomorrow because I had a pause so will be over 30 days by then.

Upperroom · 16/02/2025 14:26

@Saggyknickers then I’ll pause them and get it somewhere cheaper.

MananaMananaPenelope · 16/02/2025 14:28

@Saggyknickers I don’t think I’ve sent ID to Ouskh, maybe I did, I bought my first pen in September and it took me until Jan to start so I could have forgotten.

They seem very reliable, they manage a Facebook group which always has the latest generic code pinned. I’m not a regular Facebook user but I joined with a blank profile.

Thanks so much Upperroom
Il have a gander 😊

unicornsaremagical · 16/02/2025 14:31

@Upperroom what did you have to provide for numan? as thinking of switching for 7.5. Did you just send ID or was it other stuff too?

BachandBiscuits · 16/02/2025 14:33

Thank you mañana - was delivery quick?

MananaMananaPenelope · 16/02/2025 14:42

I don’t think it was particularly quick @BachandBiscuits , a few days. I think you can buy insulin syringes from high st pharmacies.

BachandBiscuits · 16/02/2025 15:03

Thank you! 🙏

HousePlans · 16/02/2025 15:43

I've just bought 5mg pen from Pillsorted for £99 plus about £6 for postage. I got my first pen from Medexpress. I had to send ID and photo to Pillsorted (used the same photo I sent Medexpress). Also had to send them proof that I'd had the 2.5 dose from elsewhere. They emailed me for a bit more evidence of the previous 2.5 order, but this was done within a couple of hours. And it was delivered the next day. An extra faff but a huge saving.

It was only a front view and side view (no head needed) and weight and that was is and I really like the delivery service and other stuff on the Numan app.

myladyjane · 16/02/2025 15:50

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket how are things today?

I am finding this week a bit weird. Took bonus dose (so week 5) on Thursday night and have felt very not bothered but not suppressed like I was at the start of this. Have eaten out a few times but felt fine to order something small or picked a healthier option (water and broccoli in Nando's instead of iced tea and spicy rice).

Symptoms pretty much all gone. Sleep fine. Got about 0.7 from the bonus dose so a bit up on 2.5. Feeling a bit more motivated to move.

I've given up expecting my period. Something has clearly disrupted it and I got a migraine yesterday which are usually hormone driven.

I weighed in today after avoiding on Friday and have lost 2.5lb since last weigh in so about 11.5lb since I started. Pleased with that.

I paid £113 with discount I had from a referal form medexpress for my 5mg and ordered my next pen 7.5 from pill sorted for 125 including shipping.
Honestly would recommend shopping around and paying as little as possible for these low doses. I'm going to switch eveytime until I settle on one with maintenance in mind.

@FuzzyFeelingFairy

Here's the ME policy.

support.medexpress.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/20395961330717-Price-Match-Policy

They price match these companies, but it would always be worth an email to see if they match anyone else

Superdrug Online Doctor, Zava, Juniper, Simple Online Pharmacy, Oxford Online Pharmacy, Boots Online Doctor, Asda Online Doctor, Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor, Pharmacy2U, Voy, Chemist4U, HealthExpress, Numan

MananaMananaPenelope · 16/02/2025 17:15

@sociallydistained I found a code for 30% off at med express through something I have a subscription to which makes it £108 😵‍💫.

Not sure about Royal Mail/not being able to choose my date and I’ve got two pens waiting to go, but I’ll have a think about it.

Do they dispatch when they say they will?
