Hi. i started on Sat night so I'm day 4 of 1st dose!
i made the very bad decision to have a McDonalds on the Sunday after injecting on the Sat night and i have had Sulphur burps and terrible diarrhea since. Ive been drinking huel to get some nutrients back in but feel like i have started off so badly. Dreading my second dose.

mince3point14159265 · 05/02/2025 13:55

Sorry to hear you're suffering @ClaireMarieJXN , this drug definitely lets you know when you've made a bad food choice! 😬 Peppermint tea, lots of water and a bit of time should help. Stick with it and make sensible choices and hopefully you'll soon see good progress on the scales. Good luck with your journey!

Therealmetherealme · 05/02/2025 16:01

I know there are code posts and I won't post here, but is there anyone thinking of going from numan to MedExpress who wants to swap codes? Credit for us both that way.

@ClaireMarieJXN thanks, but I was looking for a Numan code (although they seem to be doing an offer anyway). I'm looking to swap from MedExpress for a dose and thought someone might want my MedExpress code in return. So we can both benefit. Message me if anyone's interested, I don't want to spam this thread.

Thelittlestranger · 05/02/2025 16:58

@ClaireMarieJXN I realised that I think it was Huel giving me indigestion and burps...

Pandora71 · 05/02/2025 17:11

I’m sorry to hear so many are struggling with side effects. I found it helpful to read through the threads of people in groups a few months ahead. It does seem the 2.5->5 transition is bumpy.

I’m sticking with my sub dosing strategy since I seem to be getting strong suppression on low dosage. I’m pleased with my progress so far (8lbs lost in a month and only just progressed to 2.5). Low level side effects - tired, dry mouth, occasional gastro. I could definitely keep this up if I can maintain the level of suppression.

MananaMananaPenelope · 05/02/2025 17:17

Hello everyone, I’m feeling a bit better this afternoon. Could that be because I’ve eaten more? I don’t know.

Had a ton of blood taken earlier so we’ll see what develops when the results come back tomorrow.

I’ll be sorry not to be part of this supportive thread of losers 🥰.

Glad you're feeling a bit better today MananaMananaPenelope
I hope your blood tests come back ok x

It's so difficult to know what is caused by the drug, by generic illnesses going around or by not eating enough isn't it? I've been knackered this week, feeling like nodding off in the late afternoon and then sleeping 10 hours at night. Obviously don't want to give up the MJ as it's working (although suppression has worn off the last few days) but I don't want to be exhausted all the time either.

I also feel very flat but I do suffer from bouts of the blues anyway. I felt really positive and energetic the first couple of weeks but that's really dipped, physically and mentally. I'm going to push on though and see if it's just a blip.

FatGirlLosing · 05/02/2025 17:37

I feel exactly the same @JoanCollinsDiva. Week six and I’m absolutely exhausted. I went up to 3.75mg on Saturday and have been knocked for six ever since. Nothing is interesting me and I pretty much just want to hibernate.

MananaMananaPenelope · 05/02/2025 17:58

@JoanCollinsDiva and @FatGirlLosing you are right, very difficult to know what’s what.

I haven’t been to a course I pay termly for for the last two weeks and everything feels a bit topsy turvy at home, just because I’ve been so tired and unwell.

I’ve got a really demanding job and feeling rubbish week on week/not being very productive just doesn’t work. I’m out of the house 7:30-6:30 most days and that’s literally all I’ve done since being on MJ.

I really hope you both get through the dip 🌸.

stilllovingmysleep · 05/02/2025 18:28

@JoanCollinsDiva and others so sorry to hear about side effects, that's rubbish, also though as someone said sometimes hard to know what's the MJ and what's general wintery fluey coldey things going around.

As for me.. I've lurked recently but haven't posted. So far so good with me, generally good suppression and finding 2.5 very manageable. I'm on week 4 day 6

SW 86.7 kgs
CW 82.6 kgs
GW 68 kgs

I had a very sudden drop in weight in first 2 weeks but then nothing since then: but I'm fine with that as I'm finding this way of eating and living very very easy. I'm incredibly grateful to this great medicine.

I only have heartburn last week when I had a large glass of wine and a fairly large dinner - won't make this mistake. Otherwise when I eat smaller meals and earlier I'm fine. Very very easy to follow the meals I plan and stay within calorie count for which I'm astounded and so grateful as I see.

I would be gutted if they restricted access to the medicine... I started with BMI 29 and high cholesterol and no already BMI 27.6

@MananaMananaPenelope sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time but you’re doing the right thing in giving up. Hope everything settles quickly for you.

My 5mg pen has been dispatched and medexpress have accepted a screenshot I sent and price matched it. That’ll help a bit towards next month.

Who did you find it cheaper with that they price matched?

Jins · 05/02/2025 18:42

@TwinklyUmberTurtle it was Oxford online.

There are only a few they’ll pricematch with

TwinklyUmberTurtle · 05/02/2025 18:39

And you just screenshot the price for dose and send it to them? I’m going to try to do this next month if I can find somewhere they price match with cheaper

UnderandOverwhelmed · 05/02/2025 19:49

@joancollinsdiva I feel exactly the same, started really positive but the past week or so I'm so low and the very long journey to achieve my goal feels too much. I am absolutely shattered all the time as well. I'm in week 6 now too

I can give you a Numan code if you still need one? 🙂

Sorry to hear that @UnderandOverwhelmed - we all have really bad days and I hope it gets better for you. Think of it this way, based on what we've observing so far the goal will be achieved much easier than without this medicine and I think that's so positive

kathjee · 05/02/2025 20:37

Week 6 for me and decided to stick to 2.5mg even though I'm not losing on the scales, not even 1lb a week sometimes. But I'm eating way less and fuller for longer and iv lost 10lbs so far

I decided to jab my arm this time- been doing stomach the last 5 times.. and wow felt the effects straightaway. It's floored me, and I feel very full. The suppression is not like the first 2 weeks whereby I didn't even wana think of food let alone eat it. Atm I think of food id like to eat but not able to eat a lot of it

Newone123456 · 05/02/2025 20:43

Hi, I’m on week 3 of 2.5 and I’ve started to get hungry and thinking of food again. The first two weeks were great and I lost 1stone and now I feel like it’s not working. Is this normal? x

DGonMJ · 05/02/2025 20:51

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling a bit low. I know for me the initial excitement/novelty is wearing off in week 5. But I’m in this for a while so I’ll need to think of things to help celebrate the small milestones.
I bought some new bras over the weekend. Probably a bit early if I lose more on my boobs, but at least for now I feel better under my clothes.
There’s certain clothes I’m looking forward to being able to wear again.
I’m also thinking that when I get to 70kg I might introduce a ‘maintenance’ day at the weekend, where I eat maintenance calories.
