Good luck! I’m on my last 2.5 dose tomorrow but actually looking forward to going up now as def got the hunger back.

Thanks just realised that it's only Thursday tomorrow and I jab Fridays so I have one more day to worry about it haha 😁

timeformetolose · 29/01/2025 09:35

Can I please join, just started today, how long did it take to notice that you felt differently about food?

For me it was the following day, I just couldn’t eat massive portions as I previously had been doing, then as the week went on, I had to force myself to eat.

Been on 2.5 now for 4 weeks and think I’ll try to stick with that dosage for now as it seems to be working fine.

MananaMananaPenelope · 30/01/2025 05:41

Good morning, haven’t read the thread for the last couple of days so need to catch up later, hope everyone is doing well and losing.

2nd jab due after my shower in a bit.

Just got weighed and I’m 2kg less than last week, however my weight fluctuates such a lot in that sort of range so we’ll have to see if it is actually something, hope next week will tell.

I ate much more normally yesterday so effects have definitely worn off. Normally used to be 1200-1500 cals most days and I was at 1200, which I couldn’t have managed earlier in the week.

Happy Thursday fellow losers! 🌻

2025istheyeari · 30/01/2025 05:43

Morning, I did my 4th jab last night, but I did a week without MJ as was waiting for the injection to arrive.

w5d1
sw 16 3 1/2
cw 15 1 1/2
gw 11 10( ish!)

I’m so happy with my 16 pound loss and really think this is the going to work! I’ve not been at my goal weight for 15 years! NSV yesterday too, I ordered some jeans to wear as I lose weight in a 16 and 14 thinking I’d keep them both- 1 for later ( they were cheap!), and the 14 fit 🎉.

I've beefier lucky with symptoms, a little bit nauseous and a few dull background headaches, but im really not sleeping well which is v annoying! Not sure what to do about this, I can’t get to sleep and then I’m
waiing up at 515! I had 4 1/2 hours sleep last night 😩, need to get that sorted.

i am going up to 5mg next week and i’m
not trying to get the bonus dose. We’re on holiday in 3 weeks and I want my body to get used to the higher dose.

have a great day everyone, hope those of you who are having awful symptoms get better soon.

hagforlife · 30/01/2025 06:03

I've come to the end of my first week and have lost 3lbs.
Nothing like the big losses others seem to have on their first week, but I'm happy to see the numbers go down!

Howinthehelldidthishappen · 30/01/2025 06:48

Morning all. Week 5 day 1!
Will be taking my bonus dose after work this evening, then up to 5mg next week.
No side effects at all this week, been absolutely fine.
But I did also finish the week exactly the same weight as I started😂
I'm a daily weigher, as I can often fluctuate day to day by 3 or 4 lbs, so like to see a trend. I'm also due on in a couple of days.
Just hard to believe four weeks have flown by already. I never really do anything week by week, so I'm not usually counting days and stuff, but it really seems to have flown.

STATS TIME
SW 214.3lbs
CW 196.2lbs
GW 168lbs

On my own, whenever I have tried to lose weight in the last few years, I can never ever get below 14st, no matter how much calorie counting and exercise I do.
It is also worth noting that I am hypothyroid (technically no thyroid at all) which makes losing weight extremely hard despite being medicated.
So to be hovering around this weight after just four weeks is amazing, as this would normally take me months!

Howinthehelldidthishappen · 30/01/2025 07:07

Also wanted to add, if you're not already, definitely take measurements!
I may be the same weight as last week, but I have lost an inch off my waist in the last week (5.5 inches total) and an inch off my hips in the last week (1.5 inches total).
So the scales may not have moved, but things are changing.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 30/01/2025 07:24

I think i made an error taking all that was left in the pen. I'm getting side effects like when I started again, feel really nauseous, sulphur burps. I took 3.5 I think, no way can I go up to 5 at this rate! I've also been getting strange burning sensations in my thighs, has anyone else had this?

Jjsmum2007 · 30/01/2025 07:33

Weight in number 3. 2lb off. Total loss 8lb. I'll take it, just wish it was more lol!

SW 12st 6½lb
CW 11st 12½lb
GW 10st

Also measurements- my stomach always goes down first thankfully. 6 cm gone. Lost a cm off arms and legs too, but hips nothing! Just shows how our bodies all behave differently! 😂

Now to make a decision about staying on 2.5mg or upping to 5mg!

Therealmetherealme · 30/01/2025 07:37

Morning, so I started Jan 1st and dose Wed or Thursdays. I'm going to try and take the bonus dose this morning. Another 3 lb loss this week, so I've lost over a stone in 4 weeks. My BMI is 33, so looking forward to seeing that come down. I have the 5mg pen for my next month but I think the 2.5would have been okay. My clothes are a little looser but I've not dropped a size yet. I'm really looking forward to shopping for clothes I like, not just what fits.

hagforlife · 30/01/2025 07:43

Can I ask if anyone suffereing with constipation have any tips please? I've only just finished week 1 and have been fine until yesterday but can feel things changing.
I'm eating plenty of fruit and vegetables

HeavyHeidi · 30/01/2025 07:54

Same here, had total thyroidectomy about 15 years ago.

hagforlife - psyllium husks and prunes, daily

Hi
So sorry, that sounds horrible. Are you checking your water intake? I’m having chia and flaxseeds to help and psyllium husk seems to be good for some people as well. Hope they help.

BreezyPeer · 30/01/2025 07:59

W3 D1 jab day and weigh day!
SW 15st 10
CW 15st 1.5
1st GW 14st 6
Final GW 12st
Wk 1 6lb loss
Wk 2 2lb loss
Wk 3 2.5lb loss
A total of 10.5 lb!
This is definitely going in the right direction! Really keen to get below the 15 stone mark. Reading some of the earlier posts I am going to do some measurements for inspiration if I have weight loss stalls.

HeavyHeidi · 30/01/2025 07:59

I may punch the next person who says anything about 'not being lazy and taking the easy way out, and come on, just diet and exercise!'.

WIll you tell an alcoholic to just drink less? Oh, gambling problem, well just don't do it! And food obsession/addicition is even worse, we can't just go cold turkey and not eat.

Honestly, if how I feel right now is how normal people feel all the time, of course I could 'just diet'. It's so easy. I don't have to think about restricting myself like I have been doing for my entire life - I have to remember to eat. So easy.

GrumpyMuleFan · 30/01/2025 08:24

@hagforlife that sounds tough. I’ve struggled with constipation for years and different things work at different times. At the moment I’m in a good groove with Magnesium at night and a Movicol sachet each morning. My doctor suggested this last year. I also take a teaspoon of psyllium husk most days and some prunes.

When I’m constipated a tummy massage really works at helping things along and to feel more comfortable. Lie down. Start at bottom right and work up, the across, then down. Use small circular movements with flat finger tips or a tennis ball.

Something else that’s really worked is literally spending more time on the loo! I now do a couple of Suduko puzzles first thing - takes about 20 mins. At the beginning nothing happened, but over time it has.

Good luck.

I take linseeds and chia seeds daily, but the most important thing is to drink at least, or better more than 2L water a day.
I'm taking senokot tablets when it gets really bad, they help a little. And lactulose when I get desperate (fortunately only had to resort to that once so far).

Seaitoverthere · 30/01/2025 08:41

@Slimpleton that sounds rough, so sorry. I agree to contact your provider for advice but think the suggestion of leaving it a couple of days then going down is sensible.

@HeavyHeidi I feel like that ! I think if this is how most people feel all the time then I do get why they say the eat less move more thing as they don’t get what it feels like to be permanently hungry since childhood and despite that having managed to lose weight over the years only to find it goes back on again. DH says he feels fine about food and quite take it or leave it most of the time and has been amazed at the transformation in me.

I start my 5mg pen tomorrow . I don’t think I want to go up to 5mg yet, had 2.9mg last week and have been a bit hungry but ok. Think I will do something with a 3 figure in it, will keep thinking on it. Will be doing some gardening work tomorrow morning so think I might hold off a bit till I get home. Had pneumonia jab Tuesday which made me feel rough yesterday but improving.

Overthemoun · 30/01/2025 08:59

5th Jab today and a second 2.5 pen to start, as I’m still getting plenty of suppression. I don’t know if I’m naive to think it, but part of me thinks not having full suppression will make it easier to come off it in the end.

anyway, at the end of week 4 I’ve lost 12lbs and I’m delighted with that. I’m very much looking forward to seeing a new stone category - I’ve been in this one since that second long lockdown and I’m more than ready to be out of it.

RockyisMYRhino · 30/01/2025 09:09

Week 4 jab and weigh day for me. Have taken another 1lb off so fairly happy as had a night out this week so wasn't expecting a massive loss. Have agreed with DH that we will move up to 5mg for our next order so hopefully I'll start doing a bit better with that one!
SW: 15 st 1lb
CW: 14st 9lb
GW: 22st
Total Lost: 6lb

MJalltheway · 30/01/2025 09:09

I'm on W1D6 but very hard to tell what's going on because I've had a horrible virus for most of the time. Definitely hungrier the last 2 days but as have a raging sore throat, it's relatively easy not to eat too much anyway because it just hurts so much!
Had a sneaky weigh this morning and I was down 1.5kg from start weight.

Jins · 30/01/2025 09:26

W3 D6 and the scales have shifted in the right direction!

Last proper jab in the pen tomorrow then I’m doing the bonus dose. I’ll order 5mg next week and I intend doing 5 x 3.75mg doses from it. Or 4 and a 5mg. Or some other combo.

timeformetolose · 30/01/2025 10:05

Hi everyone, such lovely positive stories. I feel definitely more full and less hungry. But I did feel very cold yesterday so do not know if that is connected.

I have lost weight before on diets and kept it off for years but for the last 5 years I have struggled I can do everything right and remain static. I do have an under active thyroid

So my details are 5'5
Sw 12st 9lbs
Gw 9st 13lbs

HeavyHeidi · 30/01/2025 10:25

Yes I'm cold too. Had to buy a full lenght Oodie and sleep in wool socks - and my house is already very warm. But small price to pay.
And summer will be here soon - maybe this year I won't actually need to worry about chub rub? Could fit into all my 'slim' clothes again?

I love to shop, but when I'm slimmer. It's no fun to buy tents that are not flattering, but more of damage limitation. So I have tons and tons of clothes that don't fit me, and barely any that do.
