Jab number four today! Overall 6.5 kg (14.5lbs) down. Been a bit slow this week but I think it may be down to my cycle.

Have to keep reminding myself that I would never have lost this kind of weight in a month before, but seeing the number go down is addictive! Excited to go up to 5 next week.

Anyone know if we dispose of the actual pens in a specific way? Or can they just be tossed?

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 07/02/2025 07:10

Hmm week 5 check in and depending on what you count my starting weight (my first recorded weight was on a period so I'm taking the week before) I've lost 4kg /9 pounds over the month.

I do wish I'd been one of those it had been falling off as I've been eating a lot less but we had started reducing upf in the weeks before so not a huge change of diet, but definitely much less! Also prior to MJ 9 pounds in a month would be amazing!!

And 1kg a week would still be amazing long term.

I do the 5mg jab today. Bit wary of side effects. I hope that this wasn't my initial burst and it slows down 😬

Hope everyone else is okay and has a good weekend.

That is a still such an amazing loss well done!

Lostatsea10 · 07/02/2025 07:43

Great progress @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden you're doing so well! Hope the increased jab side effects aren’t brutal!

Has anyone had muscle pain from the jab? My back specifically, hurts to be touched at all today and not sure if I’ve slept particularly unusually or it’s the jab? Sulphur burps are present from this morning as well but otherwise no side effects so far from jab 1!

Congratulations on the weight loss! For me it's the consistency of weight loss (and diet) that I've never been able to achieve before. I'd be ecstatic with 2lbs a week long term.
I barely ate yesterday so need to try harder today, hopefully just the initial effects of 5mg. I feel fine except perhaps a bit more tired (lack of food) and not as regular (not enough food) so hopefully you will be similar. I just don't fancy any food and can't bring myself to eat, I'm sure it will wear off as the week goes on.

Bigknickers56 · 07/02/2025 08:25

It is check in day 2 today and I have lost another 4lb so that's 8lb in 2 weeks. I am absolutely delighted with it so far. I have had some side effects of worse acid reflux and waking in the night, but nothing unbearable yet thankfully. The suppression has been good for about 4 days each week and then it starts wearing off. I know I am still not drinking enough water and I'm learning to get a balance with the protein, etc but if it continues like this then I am happy 😊

Primotomb · 07/02/2025 08:47

I did 3rd jab yesterday and completed the questionnaire straight away for next one. The app shows that its under review by a clinician. But I've had an email this morning telling me I haven't done the questionnaire so panicking a bit - especially cos we go away on Friday next week and I'm already worrying about the pen not arriving in time given what I've read on here about current delays. Has anyone else had that email even though they've done the questionnaire??

Evening all - it's been a tough week personally but side effects after my 2nd jab haven't been as bad as last week so I'm feeling more confident that I've cracked the food and am making use of the care package! Windeze is my saviour at the moment 😂

So glad to see some great losses for a few of you so far! And extending a hug to those suffering with side effects - it'll all be worth it 💐

Same on the Windeze! No other side effects apart from sounding like a bloody steamboat! Mine has eased a fair bit and so I hope it's the same for you. I'm in the second week too.

My neck always aches for a day or so from the second day like I've slept on it funny.
Also always cold symptoms for a day or so. Which always feels like aches.

I'm W3D5. First 2 weeks were brilliant. Lost 3lb a week for the first 2 weeks. Feeling a little despondent this week. I have a bad habit of weighing myself every morning and so far this week I've lost nothing. I'm still eating less than I was before I started but I'm easily eating all my meals now. Do you think I'm just ready to move up to the 5mg or just some weeks there won't be a loss 🤷🏻‍♀️. Interested to see if anybody else experiencing the same on week 3. Last jab of my first pen next Monday. Just hoping my new pen comes as I've not had any update after completing my questionnaire on Tuesday. Still time though so not panicking yet.

JBJ · 07/02/2025 10:30

Disaster has struck! My blooming scales have decided to pack up after about 10 years of never missing a beat - changed the battery and it's not helped. Going away today until Monday and my next check in day is Monday! Guess I'm going to be trying to source new scales whilst I'm away then. Don't trust Amazon to deliver them to a sensible place whilst I'm not here, as they have a habit of just dumping things in full view of the street.

I’ve heard a few people say week 3 is a struggle - mine slowed way down for the last week two - but apparently it always catches up!

ForPeachSake · 07/02/2025 10:38

W4D1 and as suspected nothing lost this week, but I've stayed the same so taking that as a win, and I have lost 10lb since starting so need to keep looking at the bigger picture. I will be injecting this evening when I am home from work and see how this week goes. My app has not updated with what my next pen will be yet but assuming I will be moving to 5mg as no side effects so far.

Hope everyone has a good and symptom free weekend!

I filled out the questionnaire on Tuesday after my 3rd jab and have just received an email saying the clinician needs my GP information before they will prescribe another pen, which I had definitely inputted when I first joined. I'm hoping this is just a delay tactic!

Mazd323 · 07/02/2025 11:35

Literally as I was writing the last post payment was taken so I'm assuming the email requesting GP information is just an error on their side. It'll be interesting to see if others get it too.

I'm a day behind you so thinking I will hear on Monday now 🤞. I will report back if they request my GP info.

Thanks, fingers crossed mine will be early next week then.

bluesmartie83 · 07/02/2025 12:15

Just had an email to say payment has been taken. No update on the app yet. I completed my questionnaire on Wed

Shmallow · 07/02/2025 13:00

re disposing of pen it can either go in a normal bin or in the sharps bin.

Interesting @ploot I wondered if they'd get many takers at £199! But I guess at higher doses they can have been with another supplier before, as it's not part of the study.

Brighton2019 · 07/02/2025 13:34

I hope you don't mind me joining you but my first pen arrived today - now deciding whether to take it after work or wait until Sunday so I can have 1 last hurrah (I know that's not the point but clearly it is part of my problem)
I was really lucky to be able to take part of the £99 deal as otherwise it would have been completely out of my reach.
I've managed to lose a stone within the last year on my own but I have about 10 stones to loose. Concerned about the loose skin I will have due to weight loss although I finally intend to overhaul my life whilst I'm on these jabs.
Looking forward to sharing this all with you

Yeah I've just taken my third yesterday of 2.5mg and having no appetite suppression now. I'm going to have to try really hard for the next two weeks while I wait for the 5mg to do it's thang!

Plenty of water and peppermint tea and we'll be good. That's also a good appetite suppressant.

Had my blood results back through the night and they are horrible ☹️
Pretty much all in the red except for diabetes.
Not sure how long it will take them to review them now but I'm not confident they will take me - although by the state of my blood I really need it!
Well done all of you further along and seeing losses... amazing 🤩

PurpleClare50 · 07/02/2025 14:29

@Mazd323 I'm on the same timeline as you and completely the same. Steady loss first two weeks now stalled.
Just had email to say payment taken and prescription sent to pharmacy. Filled my questionnaire in Tuesday after check in at 4.30am so guessing they've got a backlog.

But this is your opportunity to change all of that! I hope that you are accepted and when you next have a test, see them all moving to amber and green.

It's a fab programme (I'm week 2, day 2 and feel great on it!) and I hope you see awesome results.

Newshoesnewname · 07/02/2025 15:04

So, W2 D1 for me, jabbed last night right before bed.

Last week I didn't feel any suppression at all but Tried really hard to stick to my calories. I did go over a bit but was able to resist the snacks , cut right back on carbs and I did put myself smaller portions. Part of my issue is not being able to leave anything on my plate.

It was really hard but I'm hoping I have enough willpower and new diet enthusiasm to get me through this first pen . Hoping 5 mg will be better.

On the plus side I didn't really have to many side effects either.

Very cold for a few hours on day 3. A few bouts of diarrhoea over the week but treated with Loperimide OK .

According to Shotsy, when I took last night's dose I still had 0.84 mg in my system so I'm hoping it will build up over the weeks.

I was surprised to have a decent loss given the above, but I know from past experience it will have been mostly water due to cutting the carbs.

So pleased to report

SW 19 st 11
CW 19 st 6
Loss 5 lb
First Goal 17 st 13
BMI 47.5
C BMI 46.7
End Goal BMI in the overweight range
