Welcome to thread 6 friends old and new! Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we traverse into 2025 with new bodies and new mindsets πŸ₯°

I’m on W11D5 and on my second 5mg pen
F in her early 50’s
H 5’ 5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 12st 2.2lb
GW 10st (maybe 9st 7lb if I don’t look too saggy!)
Total loss so far 23lbs

Recommend the Shotsy app to monitor MJ in my system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes, tips for side effects and we love a beauty/fitness/style chat too.

After my 3lb loss last week I've slowed down again and just lost 0.02lb since Saturday. It's definitely not a predictable journey!

Try and concentrate on your average loss pw since you began the journey rather than specific weeks - we can’t win all of the time every week (although I’d be delighted if we did!)

Morning all. Fabulous work on all the losses.

Weigh day for me. I've lost 1lb this week so I'm now at 16lbs down. 12lbs to go. Although I'm considering potentially aiming for another 7lbs to take me to a BMI of about 23.

I've arrived at one of life's set point weights. It's just under 27 BMI but a weight I've gravitated to and stuck at for a lot of my adult life. I was this weight 24 years ago before getting pregnant for example. Fingers crossed I don't stick here too long and the scales move down!

No stone bracket movement but I have tipped into the next kg bracket.

Jab day today. I've got my first 7.5mg pen but going to continue with 5mg and see how I get on.

Well done! 12lbs to go is fabulous!

Brilliant stuff from the losers.

I'm having a good week on the scales so far but not celebrating until I get through the weekend.
Have had rotten side effects for a couple of days but seem to be easing off.

Getting a bit annoyed with myself with food waste, last night dry fried some new potatoes I had leftover from mon/tues dinner and then only managed two bites.
This morning have made a lovely fruit salad and am sat watching the apple turn brown with no motivation to eat it despite a grumbling tummy.
And I need to adjust my shopping as I'm still overbuying and have no freezer space.
The downside to living alone, no one else to feed.

Congratulations on your losses though! Don’t beat yourself up for β€˜wasting’ food - it’s how we’ve been brought up πŸ’

I've just calculated that I'm only 3lb away from dropping into the 12 stone bracket - i weigh myself in kg so I don't get too fixated on the number, but I'm so excited that I'm only a few weeks away from being a 12 stone something...last time I was that weight was before I started my weight loss campaign for my wedding (20 years ago!).

Flippin Nora. Anyone else wish they were as 'fat' as they thought they were in their twenties? 😳 I remember thinking 12 stone was outrageous and marching myself off to weight watchers! Now I'm giddy with joy at being back at that weight!

Was having EXACTLY this conversation with an old friend this morning - the β€˜horror’ of having a 26” waist and being over 9 stones. Madness. My DD used to say β€œMum, why are you taking so many photos of me?” and I say, β€˜You’ll thank me when you’re 50” πŸ˜‚

I'm excited for a new wardrobe! Going to treat myself to a styling session somewhere and get a swanky capsule wardrobe that fits!

no update for me, although am fully expecting a gain when I get back.
I am not in control of my diet this week and every time I eat fatty/rich food it goes straight through me. Have flitted between constipation and violent diarrhoea all week!
Looking forward to coming home and eating meat and salad and veg.
am having a lovely time and am enjoying the food and wine!
I do think in my new world post MJ I will still have naughty weeks when I’m on holiday, so I need to accept it and refocus when I get back.

I'm really not sure I can handle another week of feeling like this - it's almost as through the queasiness and low energy is driving me to comfort eat. pretty sure i eating more on this higher dose?
Anyone else had a reaction moving up from 7.5 to 10mg?

Same here. I'm away also. Eating 3 meals a day and drinking more than I have been. I've bought 10 5mg doses with me but in reality should have gone up to 7.5. Wondering whether to do 7.5 from the 5 pen or just to do a 5 dose but every 5-6 days instead.

If it helps, I dd go wild on the wine, did only steps from my bed to the bar/restaurant /taxi and ate way more than usual last Thursday to Monday last week in Bonny Scotland. Scales said I had put on 5 lbs on Tuesday morning…I have been sensible, got back to my incline walks and pvolve since Tuesday and I’ve lost 4 of those lbs according to the scales this morning. This does give me hope because I was β€˜joining in’ with DH rather than having a real desire for more than one meal a day, wine and snacks plus I’ve shifted it relatively easily in 3 days. I’ve got a fancy restaurant boozy lunch in London booked tomorrow but then DH is away pretty much all week so I plan on being extra good to get to my 2 stone marker 🀞🏻

Anything else going on maybe? Hormones? Are you drinking enough water? Sorry you feel rubbish.

Hope you’re having a fab time! See my post to Della - do you desire 3 meals a day or are you eating them because you are joining in/they’re included/someone else is feeding you? I think it’s perfectly normal to indulge on holiday but your plan to fall back to a dose every 6 days sounds like a plan. Try is for one week and see if it makes a difference then maybe up to 6.25/7.5 if it doesn’t?

I have reached my goal!

For the first time in years, I can see my pubes.
All be it I had to squish my fat down.

But it’s quite a spectacular colourful bush.
I will invest in a tangle tweezer now that I can see what I am doing.

@Dreamqueen i did lower my dose out here, have been on 5mg and have done 3 every 5 days.
i haven’t snacked but I have been eating lots more and drinking every day so I fully expect a gain on the scales. As @Mounjaropen says I have been β€œjoining in” rather than needing to eat.
i will do a detox when I’m home and try to get back into good ways quickly.
i do think i need to learn to accept sometimes I will be naughty and then gain, and that’s ok, as long as I own it and get back on track as soon as I’m home. Historically I’d have thought β€œoh F it” and then eaten all the chocolate and crisps and said β€œI’ll start tomorrow/on Monday” which would then never happen πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

the scary thing is I’m not really really enjoying all the food πŸ˜‚

I have stopped daily weighing in the last couple of weeks and the religious calorie counting has stopped and I’ve moved to living but just being more mindful. Today I felt the urge to weigh (after a satisfying morning poop πŸ˜‚) and the scales started with a 10! 10st 13. While I’m still overweight, I’m so so happy that I’ve had losses without the obsessive tracking and it taking over my thoughts.

Next step is to be more active. I have weights which I want to do at home regularly and now the pup can go out for walks we will start more family walks (likely end up carrying pup but still).

overall, work and home life has been much better this week. Dh had an interview for a job he really wants yesterday so keeping everything crossed for him. He’s awesome at his job and is the kindest person, he really deserves to be happy.

I feel the same. Enjoying life but also missing the suppression. Still making good food choices but eating larger portions.
