I didn’t feel I had much suppression and felt like I’d eaten loads including a kitkat. I’ve then gone in and logged it all (left my phone at home all day so first chance to do it - I felt lost all day without it) and turns out I’ve had 650 calories only… so I’m guessing it’s working.

I’ve not weighed for a few days now as I’m sure I’ve gained with the exhaustion from new puppy, period starting, work stress and any other excuse I feel like adding. Tomorrow I’ll weigh and check the damage, then onwards we go.

SerenePeer · 14/01/2025 06:05

Morning all. Lovely to see all the losses and hang in there those of you who have stuck!

The scales have gone up for me this morning so I'm trying to be logical about it. I know I've not been drinking enough water and I was rather tetchy over the weekend, a sure sign of hormones at play! I also hit the gym yesterday and have major doms today, so putting it all down to that!

evilharpy · 14/01/2025 06:43

Not a single pound off in ten days. The massive 1.5lb diarrhoea-related loss is back on and seems to be staying there. Difficult not to be disheartened.

I haven't been tracking every day (although I will now) but doubt I go much over 1000 calories most days.

Mounjaropen · 14/01/2025 06:44

A surprise 1lb loss this morning…🥳 mind you, I ate pretty much nothing yesterday after ferrying around DD unexpectedly, forgetting to bring my blood test form to a blood test (spent an hour driving to and from that for no reason 😭) then when I had booked a lovely relaxing pedicure I spent the entire treatment dealing with a flood in my late in-laws house (looks like the pipe burst 3 days ago and it is a 2.5 hour journey away.. 😩)

Before MJ I’d have sacked off exercising and sunk 4 glasses of wine, but I did a 47 min Pvolve class instead and had a lovely herbal tea. Weirdly I felt more able to cope with the aggravation than I would’ ve done before MJ. I’m now up early to get my steps and Pvolve in before I face the journey to start the clear up operation.

Truly life changing. 💪

Muscle weighs more than fat. Focus on inch loss to keep motivated. The body scan app MeThreeSixty recommended on one of our previous chats is free and has kept me going when I’ve felt despondent. 💪

yes she's done so well - has entirely changed shape. She admitted she was really overeating before but hasn't increased exercise or anything, just the jab and being really careful with diet. inspiring.
another friend however has now lost 20kg in maybe 6-8 months on Wegovy - which barely worked for me at all.

Basically jealousy is now my main motivation! not sure how healthy that is but i'm feeling quite happy on this so running with it......

I don’t think it matters what drives you really. My wake up call was realising than I was waaaay heavier than my friend who’d always been big (she recently lost 10 stone after a gastric band) and was at least 4 inches taller than me.

@Mounjaropen Good luck with the clean up operation!

Babymamamama · 14/01/2025 08:05

@Mounjaropen

Same from me. Hope today isn’t too much of a mountain after the flood. I can sympathise I was custodian of my mother’s house after she had to move into nursing care. It was no joke dealing with running a second home. I was so happy when it sold even though it was the end of an era. Anyway I digress.

Re everyone’s shared goals on this thread I’ve been finding it super helpful to combine a type of intermittent fasting alongside the MJ. My losses are still much slower than the first month but at least I’m not completely stalling which was what understandably happened over Xmas

Weight is on the move again after a 2 week plateau

I’ve dropped down into the 21 stone bracket after starting on 24 stone something, ok it is 21 stone 13 but I’m claiming it!

I know I don’t post much but I’m finding this whole journey overwhelming and a bit personal, but I do want to join in more

Quick update here W10 D2.

SW 12st 13

This morning I was 11st 6.75 - lowest reading on scales yet, but that is 1.5lbs off from Sunday's official weigh in, which always carries some Saturday excess 😬.

10.75 lbs to go to target

I'm getting really comfortable with using intermediate doses by click counting and using separate syringe for bonus dose. Having done a few weeks at 3.75, moved to 4, then 5 and this week 6. This is really helping to keep suppression consistent as the body adjusts. For those struggling with the dose steps, I would really recommend incremental steps.

I've been lucky though - only side effects have been insomnia night of jab and some very faint nausea in the first 24hrs. I feel for those of you suffering with bouts of awful D&V - horrendous to have to put up with this.

Demjay · 14/01/2025 10:27

Well due to all the D&V I am down 1.5 kg since yesterday 😆😭🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️. Seriously though I’m starting to question once again whether this is worth it. Last night was horrendous, and the cramping was unbearable. I feel great about my weight and I really want to reach my goal, but is this healthy really ? 😞😞

TeenLifeMum · 14/01/2025 10:51

I decided to be brave (after a satisfying poo - sorry tmi) and weighed myself. Last time was Thursday and I’d put on a pound but today I’ve lost that pound and one more. Maybe, if I stick too much more sensible choices, I’ll get into the 10s! Still have a mental block on that feeling impossible so ignoring my brain.

Yet it never feels enough - the human brain is so weird. I still feel fat (technically I’m still over weight so that’s probably why). I do feel more like myself than when I was my largest and didn’t recognise myself.

It can be an ounce into the next stone bracket down and it still counts! Well done!
Are you thinking of setting multiple goals weights along the way? That's working best for me so far as my actual goal weight feels too far off to think about yet.

I’m thinking once I get to 20 stone my next goal will be 18 and then we’ll see - I might swap to clothing sizes as goals

I want to wear clothes with waistbands and know what fits me, not be squeezing myself into an elasticated size 28 pair of leggings and a flowing tunic and pretending that’s the size I am

I’ve never not been overweight so I have no idea what my natural shape is!

DH’s sibling wouldn’t agree to rent the house out whilst the market is sluggish and private was going through as he wanted to. Guess who is not on their way there to help clear the mess up…🤬🙄

This is what I want to get back to. I'm the opposite to you, I wasn't overweight until fairly recently, and I haven't got used to it and worked out HOW to be overweight. I'm used to waistbands and garments with darts but now I'm living in all things stretchy and just want to get back to my normal. But the weight landed alongside perimenopause and has been very difficult to shift.

We will get there :) I have getting back into specific items of clothing as goals. My All Saints biker jackets which currently I can barely even get an arm into. My cropped wide leg H&M jeans. Anything that isn't yoga pants.
