I hit a milestone today-10kg lost

w7 d5 looking forward to being in the 70s tomorrow (not had a poo since Sunday 😳)

Pumpkinforever · 31/12/2024 11:52

Definitely need a new swimsuit!

Dreamqueen · 31/12/2024 12:37

I missed the postman this morning and my pen is now stuck in a royal mail sorting office until Friday. My own fault. Lesson learnt.
Thank you for new thread.
did jab a day early today. Stuck with 5mg again.

Whattodowithaminute · 31/12/2024 12:38

I was hoping for a 70s milestone pre 2025 but think it will be another week, thanks for new thread and 2024 support

Thank you. That's very reassuring. i've got no idea about the packaging. My parcel gets delivered to DS house and he unpacks and keeps in his outside fridge. He unpacks so well that I've never actually seen the package it comes in.

Checking in so I don’t lose the thread. I’ve not been very chatty for a while due to illnesses and Xmas period and currently away for new year but will be all in from next week xx

random223 · 31/12/2024 12:54

Thanks for the new thread.

New Years resolutions seeming not quite so unattainable as last year!

Babymamamama · 31/12/2024 12:59

Afternoon all. Loving the title of the newest thread. Went sale shopping with DD yesterday and managed to get all my steps for the day in just traipsing the shops buying her stuff. I’d usually also buy myself some lovely post Xmas gifts (single mum here) but actually this year I feel doing the MJ has been by far the best thing I could ever gift myself. I’m loving the feeling of approaching the New Year with my goal already a good way along on that journey. I’ve now lost stone and a half and back in size 12. And BMI around 26.1. Can’t believe just two months ago I was on the cusp of obese. I’m thinking to aim continuing to get mid way into the healthy bmi category as my goal for 2025 and then it will be figuring out the maintenance plan. That will be my real challenge tbh as I usually relapse badly once I’ve lost weight .....and I haven’t quite figured that bit out. Anyway that’s a question for another day. Wishing all the wonderful Nov starters health and every happiness for 2025.

This has been life changing for me. I’ve moved from obese to overweight on the BMI chart and am feeling so much better. Wish I’d done it sooner.

Yes they are in insulated bags with a gel ice pack and a sheep wool pack too. It’ll be fine.

It really is life-changing isn’t it? I’m currently off for a posh lunch with DH in London in another velvet trouser suit I’ve not worn in the last 5/6 years. No shapewear required and I have had to use a safety pin to pull the trousers in at the back. 🥳

End of year weigh in and I'm still obese 🤣 BMI down from 38 to 33.8 since starting MJ in Nov, 12kg off. Going to be a while before I even get to the overweight category never mind anything else. And by then I think I would look ill. At my age with my face and wrinkles I think I could tip to looking gaunt quite easily.

I'm pleased I started when I did though I'm not sure how much longer I'll be on it for. I absolutely need to lose more weight but I'm suffering with low mood quite a bit and not sure which is worse.

Anyone have exciting plans for tonight?

Happy new year!

I honestly think that this time I’ll be able to keep it off. I’ve had years of not taking pictures/booking hotel rooms with private pools so I feel comfortable about being in a swimsuit. The old adage ‘nothing tastes as good as thin feels’ is spot on. I’m not going back to feeling old and fat.

I mean, you’re nearly 2 stone down! Amazing!

Posh boozy lunch here and then our local tradition is to go and meet up with the neighbours and watch all of the fireworks with a bottle of something fizzy. We’re at one of the highest points in the area and can see the fireworks all the way down the Thames.

How about you?
