Similar here @namechangedyetagain . It's gutting isn't it? I'm not sure if I should go u to 7.5 as I'm getting a rash at the injection site all of a sudden and don't want to increase my sensitivity 😢

I can see why you'd be reluctant to move up. I'm lucky I've neve had sensitivity. Do you think it's the MJ itself or the needle?

I'm not sure. I'm on daily antihistamine because I'm sensitive to the world. Lucky I wasn't born 100 years ago otherwise I'd spend my life sneezing. I react badly to insect bites too. I do feel mj is improving my health so massively though that I want to carry on. I need to lose at least 3-4 stone and know I won't do it without some intervention.

The rash comes up a few days after the injection so it's not immediately but then lasts (the first is still looking bruised and itches occasionally and that started over a week ago). I think I'm going to try treating with antihistamine cream for a couple of days after the jab if I can see the spot.

@Goldleafcat I hope you’re able to be discharged today and I hope everything went well for your son. My daughter was rushed to hospital with an emergency appendicitis diagnosis last May and it was an awful few days/nights sleeping in the children’s ward and living in the hospital. I did a lot of reading and nervous watching of DD.

I did buy one cook book on my kindle but hated it - you need to be able to flick through the pages!

I joined Pvolve this morning - I was a little shocked at the postage from USA but I notice it works out more or less the same price if you order from the U.K. I’m very excited to get started!

@StarShapedWindow it’s so stressful isn’t it . We spent 2 days in a High Dependency Unit so constant beeping / observations etc so everyone was hollow eyed (and sleeping in a reclining chair is not the best!) (two people actually slid off theirs by accident whilst we were there 😂).

Thankfully several nights in our own cubicle which was better.

Hope your daughter is all better now.

Goldleafcat · 12/01/2025 09:03

Finally got home after 5pm last night. Getting discharged from hospital always seems to take about 400 years. To be fair to the hospital though on this occasion they ran some last minute additional tests to check he was definitely ok to go home. He’s doing really well, all things considered. Amazing really! It’s such a relief. This has been hanging over us for a long time. Still mentally adjusting to the fact the surgery has been done. Now it’s a focus on his recovery and lots of cuddles in the weeks to come.

Weighed myself this morning and I am back at my pre Christmas weight! I was due to jab on Thursday so I’m a few days late - will do it today (and hope I don’t suffer any adverse consequences). Very pleased with this after this week. I drank a LOT of water though. The air conditioning in there was so dry - some days I felt like a husk in human form.

Highest ever weight - something north of 20 stone (had abandoned scales at that point)

SW 16 stone 6.5lbs
CW 15 stone 1lb
GW 11 stone (initial goal weights of 14 stone, then 12 stone 7 lbs)

Loss to date - 1 stone 6.5lbs (20.5lbs or 9.29kg) (nice to see all the different measurements 😂)

I really want to see a 14 on the scales now, and a loss over 10kg!

I had this. Taking the pen out the fridge to get it to room temperature helped. Plus antihistamine cream. The pharmacy said longer needles would also help but I haven't tried that. Going up a dose didn't make it worse.

Morning all, bit of a NSV, I can comfortably cross my legs!!!!! I didn’t even realise at first, but clocked at a meeting that I had crossed my legs and sat like that for ages. Up until now my thighs have been too big to do that!

deffo dropped a dress size, although it means I’m comfortably back into clothes that were too tight and I was ignoring it! But getting closer to needing new clothes. Think I will stick to elasticated waists that can span a couple of sizes for now.

Still getting crazy suppression on 5mg, although starting to feel more normal. Lost 5lbs last week, although I think that was a blip!

That puts be at just over 2 stone lost in 9 weeks.

That is an incredible loss! And I love the NSV! One thing I found surprisingly brilliant was when I could comfortably just have my hands in my lap etc without balancing my arms over my boobs / tummy! My weight had crept up over time and I hadn’t realised.

Goldleafcat · 12/01/2025 09:39

Thank you, I did - reading back my post lunch posts yesterday the amount of gin consumed clearly made me a potty mouth poster. Sorry about that everyone- although I still stand behind my comments about the consultant 😂

My boozy dehydrated body this morning weighed in at 12st 3.6lbs, taking my loss this week to a mighty 0.6lbs 😭Still, my body scan yesterday showed my body fat has reduced to 35.1% down from 38.1% and my waist is now 36.2in down from 37.9in I’ve lost inches on my arms, thighs and calves so I’ll take the inch losses and expanded wardrobe choices for the win. 💪

I ordered a lovely cream knitted dress as a treat for myself as I’m having lunch with old school friends next weekend. It arrived yesterday. I ordered the M and the L. The M fitted perfectly! 🥳

This week I've lost the grand total of...... half a pound.
Slightly disappointed though not surprised, I've definitely been feeling hungrier this week though I've still tried to eat well. Need to do better with my water intake. I think I'm going to order the next pen in the 7.5 dose and hang the expense.

In other better news I've finally hit the 2 stone mark! I'm still firmly in the obese category but it's progress I guess.

2 stone in that time is amazing! Keep going 💪

Thanks. I'm keeping mine in the fridge so can definitely make those changes (although longer needle will be a last resort as I'm a wuss)

I know we have done face creams, but can anyone recommend a good body moisturiser? I am concerned that my thighs and stomach are a bit looser and I want to help things tighten up!!!!

I used to use Clarins body lift - but I’m sceptical that a cream can tighten body skin. I’d just keep the skin really hydrated. I also use Aveeno which is often on offer on Ocado. It’s reasonably priced and does the job. For a luxurious treat, Clarins comforting silky body cream is just divine. I like the Eau ressourcante scent. Be warned though, it is as addictive as crack (not that I’ve tried that but you get the gist) 😂

@Mounjaropen this is my 1st weigh in with my new scales after the (8lb gain) last week I'm dreading it 😵‍💫

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 12/01/2025 10:58

Back up half a pound today but I think it’s last night’s gnocchi weighing heavily. It was delicious, though, so I don’t care!

murraymcgill · 12/01/2025 10:58

@namechangedyetagain lucky u my scales said I gained 8lbs I nearly died I did nothing different at all I'm 52 so don't have periods but when I did they were always beginning of the month so maybe to do with that I even bought new scales so ill weigh today and see whays what

Cantbesure · 12/01/2025 11:14

@Della82 on body creams I've just got the aveeno skin renewal cream which I think is helping. I also like to apply it on my neck which was def looking scraggy and I do feel it's improved.

So glad your little one has been discharged @Goldleafcat it sounds like an incredibly worrying time for you. Hopefully you can all enjoy the recovery in the comfort of your own home and beds now.

On boobs mine are not what they were. Peri meno, breast feeding and weight gain and loss have definitely taken a toll. I've been around 34G. Think the boob and bust calculator would have me back in 32s but not sure I'm ready for that yet. I don't know what impact losing weight will have on. I'll just have to keep a bra on!

No issues at all on 5mg. I've got 2 more doses in my pen so will look at my weight loss before deciding what to order next. Moving from med express to zava (if they take me as BMI is currently 28) as they are cheaper for 5 and 7.5 with the discount code. And then I probably will move to cloud or oushk who seem to have the best maintenance policies. It looks like this needs to be done around a BMI of 27. So much information on this WLI board.

Good luck to us all this week.

Age twin! I'm blaming menopause. For everything !!!

I have a mini break coming up at half term. Tried a couple of boden jumpsuits on this morning which I've had since at least 5 years and it's been probably that long since they fitted comfortably. The black one is perfect! The blue one fits but if I could lose a little more it would look better I think. Hoping that's 2 holiday outfits I don't need to buy! My (very) formal dresses are now every so slightly too big so I don't know whether to re buy or have taken in.
Absolutely not complaining though 😊

Della82 · 12/01/2025 11:41

@DarkForces i read somewhere I think it was on an Oushk FAQ about reactions (so check with your provider) but it recommended using a 0.6mm needle instead of 0.4 if you have reactions at the injection site

LilyRose88 · 12/01/2025 11:53

I just managed to inject myself with the golden dose after chickening out last time as I thought the needle looked too big. After seeing loads of people on Tiktok saying how easy it was I convinced myself that I could do it and succeeded. My syringes are only 0.5ml so I had to do two injections but it was remarkably easy and actually the needles aren't that long. I think I was just being dramatic.😂I lost 0.6lbs this week despite not eating much but I haven't been very active this week due to the weather so I don't mind.
I did buy some of those scales that measure body fat and BMI etc, but they were an absolute faff to set up, and the icons which explained what each percentage was were so small that I couldn't see them when I was standing on the scales. To add insult to injury they weighed me 1.4lbs heaver than my other electronic scales. I going to try and return them! If anyone has a recommendation for smart scales which are user friendly do let me know.

I’d recommend the methreesixty app to focus on inches lost rather than just scales. Hope the weigh in loses your extra 8!
