🥳

I’m off for a fancy lunch in London today wearing a jacket I bought 5 years ago and still has the tags on it. Never been able to do it up until today. Bras are also looser (but I’m waaay up the bra alphabet so that’s no bad thing!)

Yeah weirdly my boobs have not gone down at all yet. Still a 34J which is always a problem with clothes. But the rest of me must have shrunk enough to make the clothes fit better.

The size I am now is not my usual size (piled it on over the last 2 years for a few reasons). At my normal size I have fairly smallish boobs. At this size - 16ish - I have a pair of matronly norks that enter a room several seconds before the rest of me follows. I absolutely hate them! Can't wait till they disappear again, although with peri menopause thrown into the mix I'm worried that I will remain matronly of nork and thick around the middle even if I get all the weight back off.

Pumpkinforever · 11/01/2025 17:39

I purchased a 12.5kg bag of sunflower hearts bird food today. It was bloody heavy and when I got home I realised I have already lost 14kg on MJ!

My goal is to lose another bag of sunflower seeds 😂

I've always been between a G and a JJ as an adult, even at a size 10-12. Always fantasised about a reduction which I might consider again once I know I can maintain a healthy weight, assuming they are still massive. At 40ish they do feel more matronly than at 25, but more to the point they are just bloody heavy and make it really hard to find nice work appropriate clothes, and also to do some forms of exercise.

lovealongbath · 11/01/2025 18:24

When I had to get a mammogram it went like this….

  • can you put your arm up here
  • feet together
  • straighten up
  • elbow out
  • shoulder down
  • bum in
  • edge closer

I am thinking, For love of God, hurry up, so I get squished and image taken.
She says, I’m sorry we need to reposition you as your nipple is facing the wrong way. 🤣 She went to lift up the breast up to reposition and she needed 2 hands 🤩

Oooh, where are you going? We’re having lengthy arguments about when and where to go. I think June is winning as neither child is in an important school year (in Scotland no one bothers about you taking kids out for a holiday) but it’s still close enough to summer to feel like a proper summer holiday.

A random Greek island featured in a review in today’s papers. Never heard of it but 30+ trip advisor reviews rated it at 5stars and only 1 at 4 stars. Haven’t been to Greece in years so looking forward to it!

I was a 34k. Think I’ll be down to a 32 band shortly and then we’ll see the cup size. I was a 32E at my slimmest so let’s see. Almost always we wear a band too big and cause shoulder dents.

I considered a reduction until I discovered the procedure involved removing and reattaching nipples which might not ‘take’ again. Fuck that.

Tbf, I had a weird breast pain last year. Consultant was very off - wanted to talk breast reduction when I didn’t want one. No discussion about what might be causing it, just breast augmentation - oh, and by the way, your BMI is too big for us to do the procedure you didn’t ask for on the NHS. I left fuming.

Not so good when you have concerns and are worried.
mine was just routine, but the wee las trying to manoeuvre me was something else

I agree. Wasn’t trying to minimise it. The (male) consultant was an arsehole. I’ll be going back in 2025 to be checked out properly at a BMI ‘acceptable’ to them 🙄

Hey,
Weekly check in here, after my daily weigh ins I have not moved all week and then had a big drop today. 4th 7.5 jab today and still having good suppression so going to order it again.
I looked back and just over a month ago I was 4.5kg heavier, I think I need to remember that the big weekly losses are over but being consistent does pay off and the idea that I lost so much over the Christmas period is amazing.

26/10/24 93.6kg
11/1/25 79.2kg

14.4kg lost

Talking of big boobs, that is one of the main reasons I went for the injection. In the summer I went to the dr about the constant pain in my neck and back. 34L !
This was a last ditch attempt to lose the weight before looking into a breast reduction.
I really wanted to avoid the risk/recovery and cost of an op so this has been a revelation for my physical wellbeing.
No more pain and feel so much better :)
I might need a boob lift when the weight it gone though 🤣🤣

Wonderful loss! Congratulations!

I’ve nothing against breast reduction, I was just fucked off at it being the only option open to resolve sudden breast pain in boobs that hadn’t altered size or shape!

I think I do need to go to 7.5mg tomorrow. Tiredness has always been a trigger for binges and my sweet tooth and although I’ve not gone mad, the sweet tooth and carb loving me is definitely around this week. On the plus side, puppy slept all night so hoping I can catch up on sleep and get back on track. It just means I’ve stalled this week.

I thought I had big boobs in my 20s - 32DD but my 34GGs were what started this weightloss journey. I couldn’t see my feet anymore and bras were massive non sexy scaffolding that costs a fortune. Trying sweaty Betty and lululemon sports bras on and finding they weren’t big enough or supportive enough was really upsetting. I can sadly believe the doctor said that to you @Mounjaropen some really have no filter!

I had one years ago. It still looks great and I'm 62 now.

I’m glad it went well for you, I think I’m annoyed that the consultant took zero history (breast pain was acute, sudden and recent) and decided that a reduction was as a cure-all as opposed to delving into my concerns about the situation. Mammogram was apparently clear so no issues there 🤞

I think this is the difference. I’d happily consider a lift post weight loss if I wanted to but not happy to consider augmentation because of inexplicable pain onset.

Yep this is probably my biggest concern. Haven't looked into it in detail yet.

I know we have done face creams, but can anyone recommend a good body moisturiser? I am concerned that my thighs and stomach are a bit looser and I want to help things tighten up!!!!

Pumpkinforever · 11/01/2025 22:29

I use aveeno body moisturiser

evilharpy · 11/01/2025 22:48

I love Lush Dream Cream. It's the only Lush product I use and it smells lovely and natural, not a Snow Fairy in sight.

PinkArt · 11/01/2025 23:33

Oh my Christ, I think tonight was somehow the first time I've gone out to eat on a Saturday since starting on MJ (I jab Friday night). I got half way through the meal and had to stop. I've not had that kind of mid meal suppression before, so definitely made the right call not going up a dose from next week.

I love the body oils particularly, but also the moisturisers from https://avgerinospharmacy.com/en/collections/λάδια-σώματος-body-oils (you may need to switch to English). They last a few months with daily use if you're not excessive but p&p is £19 so I make a big order as the individual product prices are good for the quality. I also love https://www.gaiaskincare.com/ but that's expensive per product although less p&p! I've started daily moisturising of my legs and arms since starting Mounjaro and it's definitely making a difference. This company does a range of really cost effective boxes that I get sometimes too: https://roccabox.co.uk/ . The mystery box subscription is fun for a few months if you're looking to try something out your normal comfort zone

This week I've lost the grand total of...... half a pound.
Slightly disappointed though not surprised, I've definitely been feeling hungrier this week though I've still tried to eat well. Need to do better with my water intake. I think I'm going to order the next pen in the 7.5 dose and hang the expense.

In other better news I've finally hit the 2 stone mark! I'm still firmly in the obese category but it's progress I guess.
