It's a pain. I already take an antihistamine but wondering if I'm proactive about putting cream on the site before I react it'll help. Will try next week.

Im also reminding myself I've lost 0.8lb over the week and so the lack of loss over the second half is due to a tasting menu out with wine so I couldn't select the lightest option like I usually would. At least I've balanced it out rather than just carrying on regardless.

Onwards and upwards (well downwards).

Good for you, I’d take 0.8lb off this week 😭

God my legs are so sore after first day of exercise! DOMS is killing me. I did video 2 yesterday (Caroline Girvan Iron Series on YouTube) which is upper body, and I never seem to get quite the same level of DOMS there as I do with legs/glutes.

It’ll get easier. Keep going! 💪🏻

Another tummy weight carrier here and also not really exercising yet so I’m following with interest!

MJ day for me.
Dose 8 4th of 3.75mg
Weight 11st 8.3lb
BMI 28.8
Loss 2.5lb
Total loss 15.8lb

I had liquid on my skin for the second time after this jab. I worry it that hardly any has actually gone in. The last time this happened was Christmas week so I was eating more anyway and put on a bit. We shall see how this week goes.

All of my weight-bearing exercise is at home, @Babymamamama - years ago DH bought a set of adjustable dumbbells in a fit of enthusiasm (set up a weights bench in the garage and hardly used it). However they come in very handy! I think this might actually be the same set even though he got them 10 years ago. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4743325?istCompanyId=a74d8886-5df9-4baa-b776-166b3bf9111c&istFeedId=30f62ea9-9626-4cac-97c8-9ff3921f8558&istItemId=mmlmrpltt&istBid=t&utm_custom6=LIA]]. You wouldn’t need to buy anything quite so comprehensive but you do need to have different weight dumbbells for different moves (and to move up as you get stronger). I’m doing Caroline Girvan on YouTube, it’s free, but I have done BodyPump classes before in a gym so I know the basics of form. Maybe look for a beginner workout if you’ve never done weights before? It’s very important to keep your core tensed in every move so as not to hurt your back.

I’ve had this twice, didn’t appear to affect my suppression so I wouldn’t worry too much.

9 weeks of MJ:
SW 13st 3lb
CW 12st 5.5lb

So that's about 1.3lb per week which isn't particularly fast but I'm 5'3 and haven't been counting calories or doing much exercise (plus, Christmas).

I had a fun couple of hours this morning going through my wardrobe and finding a lot of stuff which was a bit tight or didn't fit and now fits perfectly. I also have a stack of other clothes which I think will fit again in about another half stone.

I have some beautiful clothes - I used to work in Mayfair and bought some lovely things around there at 75% off or in sample sales. Happy I kept them!

Feels pretty amazing, I honestly didn't think I'd ever fit into these things again as I was getting nowhere without the MJ.

StarShapedWindow · 11/01/2025 10:59

@Goldleafcat I hope you’re able to be discharged today and I hope everything went well for your son. My daughter was rushed to hospital with an emergency appendicitis diagnosis last May and it was an awful few days/nights sleeping in the children’s ward and living in the hospital. I did a lot of reading and nervous watching of DD.

I did buy one cook book on my kindle but hated it - you need to be able to flick through the pages!

I joined Pvolve this morning - I was a little shocked at the postage from USA but I notice it works out more or less the same price if you order from the U.K. I’m very excited to get started!

TeenLifeMum · 11/01/2025 11:09

I think I do need to go to 7.5mg tomorrow. Tiredness has always been a trigger for binges and my sweet tooth and although I’ve not gone mad, the sweet tooth and carb loving me is definitely around this week. On the plus side, puppy slept all night so hoping I can catch up on sleep and get back on track. It just means I’ve stalled this week.

I bought a load of the equipment second hand from vinted but am yet to actually sign up for the classes - always an excuse 🙈 would love to hear how you get on with it.

I'm getting over what I initially thought was a bad reaction but was more likely a bad stomach bug. I have never had diarrhoea like it in my whole life. I didn't eat at all for about 48 hours and was so dehydrated that my wee was brown! And after all that I lost a pound and a half ffs, I was hoping for at least three stone.

That was me the other week, I still haven’t seen what I hoped would be the corresponding loss on the scales!

StarShapedWindow · 11/01/2025 12:20

@evilharpy Good grief, that sounds horrific! So glad you’re feeling better!

Why on earth didn’t I think to get the equipment on Vinted? 🙄 I’m so impulsive!

evilharpy · 11/01/2025 12:30

@StarShapedWindow to be fair it doesn't crop up on vinted very often, I just happened to time it right I think! I didn't manage to get the mat though.

🥳

I’m off for a fancy lunch in London today wearing a jacket I bought 5 years ago and still has the tags on it. Never been able to do it up until today. Bras are also looser (but I’m waaay up the bra alphabet so that’s no bad thing!)

In other news, booked a holiday for June for DH and I. Looks very instagramable so I’m concentrating on being one of the beautiful people up doing the complimentary yoga at 8am and taking arty Melissa Odabash bikini shots by the main infinity pool 😂

Reality will be me sweating in a one piece from big and busty (other stores are available) whilst DH captures the wrong angle. Again. 😂

It's a long slog! The initial stone vanishing quickly definitely raised my expectations. I'm having to have a reset. Slow and steady and all that

Oooh, where are you going? We’re having lengthy arguments about when and where to go. I think June is winning as neither child is in an important school year (in Scotland no one bothers about you taking kids out for a holiday) but it’s still close enough to summer to feel like a proper summer holiday.
