Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

To 2025 one and all

Oh that's good to find some hidden treasures @Mum0ntherun also what a fab loss! Well done!

I think getting rid of the clothes is quite therapeutic as in times gone by I always put them in the loft but not this time! Bye bye big clothes!

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2025 21:41

Yah. Well done @Mum0ntherun

and so many clothes to Chuck @owlyboo

Great loss @Mum0ntherun !

Exciting! @SilverSprings510. I've got everything crossed for you.

I really need to sort out my Vinted account and get cracking.
I watched Panorama. Hope they' do well. Would love to think they're on here 😂
And hope MJ doesn't become available.

NippyCrab · 13/01/2025 21:50

Urgh the Vinted chancers @owlyboo 😂😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/01/2025 22:06

FlappingMadly · 13/01/2025 22:13

NippyCrab · 13/01/2025 20:10

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm not 100% sure tbh, I'm up and down like an Alton Towers roller coaster 😂

@WorriedRelative I'll go and join and have a trial period on it 😂

Hopefully this will work

Good morning all. Am going to catch up with the documentary today I hope.

Have jlist ust under 3 lbs this week so I am pleased with that. It means that I have seen my body go through 5 different stone categories if that makes sense. I have no final goal yet, can't quite get my head around that. Probably because I started off so overweight. But I know that it will take around a year to get a healthy BMI.

owlyboo · 14/01/2025 08:05

Well done on the loss @Motnight! That's a lot of stone brackets to see!

PoemsForTea · 14/01/2025 08:26

Morning all, some brilliant losses still happening 🙂
I'm in a bit of a plateau since Xmas eve and stuck at 14.8 which is OK - hoping to maybe get 1 off this week as walking has increased after the crappy weather but I've had so many days out on site I'm not hitting water intake so it's kind of a stand off 😆

PoemsForTea · 14/01/2025 08:27

Had a text from GPs yesterday asking me to book my annual pre diabetes blood test - I'm actually excited to have it done for once 😆

MargoLivebetter · 14/01/2025 08:54

@NippyCrab I'm riddled with 3 different types of arthritis and I do a physio led aqua class once a week. It is one of the highlights of my week and I feel so much better afterwards. So, get your togs on woman and go and do some watery stuff. It is so good for us and doesn't put any strain on joints etc.

owlyboo · 14/01/2025 09:03

@PoemsForTea I'm sure you'll get back into a routine soon. Sts over the Christmas period is definitely a positive! I saw someone on tik tok earlier who put 17lbs on over Christmas...I'm not sure what she ate...her family maybe?!!! 😱 hope the bloods go well!

I've officially just done my first 15mg. I was going to do the bonus 12.5 but there was no where near a full dose left and last few days I've been feeling hungry so didn't want to go with a half dose... fingers crossed for the side effects!

owlyboo · 14/01/2025 09:04

I also brought some decaf tea yesterday as similar to others I'm struggling with the water intake now it's colder so I figured decaf tea can't be much different to drinking water?! Better than nothing!!

NippyCrab · 14/01/2025 09:16

@owlyboo howling here, a family of 5 lol. Gosh that's a lot of weight to add on isn't it.

@MargoLivebetter my swimming bag has been packed for a year 🙃 I joined last January and bought 2 new swimsuits 🩱 it makes me feel daunted because if I'm swimming I can't see without my glasses and i can wear contacts. There's one instructor led class and I've been told not to do that which is pants! I'm definitely going tomorrow afternoon, it will be fine, I won't die if I can't see xx

NippyCrab · 14/01/2025 09:17

I sometimes have a wee herbal tea to get water in, or hot Diluting juice xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2025 09:38

Well done @Motnight

sorry been a few weeks of sts @PoemsForTea💐

but amazing you didn’t gain over Xmas

what do you do and can you take a litre bottle of water with you to slug

and hopefully you would have reduced your diabetes

@owlyboo Pmsl at eating family. To gain a stone and a half seems madness

@MargoLivebetter I should do some water based exercise as have dodgy ankle hip and knee via arthritis

but it’s cold

im a very good swimmer but too cold to get naked and into water

@15@owlyboo. You hard nut

I have a very small family - now you mention it I haven't seen the hamster for a bit 😆

FlappingMadly · 14/01/2025 09:51

Thanks for sharing @WorriedRelative I'm nowhere near maintenance yet but I want to plan.

Great loss! @Motnight

Sorry you're stuck @PoemsForTea . I gained over the holiday period. Hopefully positive news about your diabetes test will give you a boost. Good luck.

Hungry here too @Blondeshavemorefun . I think I'm broken 😂

I really need to.do more exercise. If it wasn't for dog I'd be a sloth. I just can't get going this week.

@PoemsForTea will be really interesting for you to see what the difference is re your blood test!

owlyboo · 14/01/2025 11:16

@Blondeshavemorefun I know. I was worried when I ordered the 15 I wouldn't want to go up but I'm definitely ready to go up. Last two days started to feel much more hunger and had to use will power not to reach for some snackies on an evening!

And yes a stone and a half is insane 😂

@Blondeshavemorefun how annoying that you're suppression comes and goes! Still a while until WWJ! Hang in there!

@PoemsForTea 😂😂

Day off today so doing more vinted/wardrobe sorting... just thrown out every pair of pants I own! Need to remember to go buy some or I have none for tomorrow! It was getting ridiculous with them falling down 😂😂 I have about 10 bags now to take to the clothing bin! Plus 50 things listed so far on vinted with still another bag to go. They say not to add it all at once so I'll add some more tomorrow!

AuntieDote · 14/01/2025 11:29

Hello again everyone.

Returning to the thread a bit sheepishly - I gained back a good few lbs (6-8 depending on which reading you take) over the of the month I'd stopped taking the MJ. I really did have to stop the side effects were just not manageable for me, I was so hopeful I'd be able to get the last stone I wanted off myself with all the good habits I'd apparently learned!

True enough for the first 2 weeks or so after my last jab I stayed relatively in control (half life anyone!?!), even over Christmas itself I was still tracking, eating well and not too much but it was just sort of steadily increasing - I drank more alcohol than normal as more events/ occasions for it, skipped a few of my exercise classes due to Christmas then us all being full of the lurgy, gradually having bigger portions here and there, being a bit less mindful when eating out etc, all the carbs creeping back in. I've got to say it's gone on a lot quicker than pre MJ - and without eating as much as I may have done in the past - but I guess that's understandable too. I do think a bit of it is hormonal as well, period just started so that's not helping.

I kept contemplating injecting again - going back of course to 2.5mg, but my lizard brain was staging a full scale rebellion and I couldn't bring myself to do it somehow. Anyway, something clicked 'enough' in my brain last night and I did it - injected 2.5mg out of the previously unopened 7.5 pen I had left.

Feel ok today, not the same level of nausea/ suppression I felt the very first time I ever started on 2.5 but I suppose I can't expect that really. Feeling positive and ready to continue my journey.

I don't think I'll be going above 2.5 this time - past experience shows my guts really really can't handle it. The only way I might do that is if I space two lots of 2.5 doses out over a week, but we'll see if that becomes necessary. I'm really hoping that whilst 2.5 won't do much long term in the way of suppression, it will keep me on track enough to finish this journey and get to goal, or at least not completely undo all the work so far!

I have definitely learned some hard lessons about how much was the drug and how much was me when it comes to what I've lost so far - all that comforting stuff I was telling myself before about how I was learning about my limits and repairing my relationship with food so I'd be fine once I stopped taking it - yeah not so much in my case! I do think I'm going to be on the drug in some capacity longterm - once I get a bit closer to goal I'll investigate Oushk's maintenance plans a bit more and see what I want to do. Going it alone clearly isn't going to work for me.
