Crazy we have come this far

Heading to 5mths - that's almost half a year

We have all done so well.

Be proud of ourselves

Yes we have Christmas Day to come but remember that eating a meal and some yummy stuff isn't going to make us all gain the weight back

We have to have some treats or else what is the point in life

Saying we are never going to eat ...... again isn't sustainable

But having one /small portion of something we want is a good thing

We have learnt restraint !!!

Re Fuerteventura..it is windy sometimes and when we went over Christmas it hailed one day and then we had the Calima which is a sandstorm andcthen lots of sunshine. I wore shorts and dresses in the day but it was chilly at night. Overall, the weather is lovely but not too hot apart from July and August. It's pretty similar the rest of the year, around 24 C in the shade with lots of sunshine. I don't like really hot weather anymore.

@owlyboo missed that you had had a fall. Hope you are ok.

Another NSV for me. Currently in an air b and b by the seaside. The bath is very very deep and high if that makes sense. I really thought that I wouldn't have been able to use it. But I did and it was fine. I know that a few months ago I just would have been too fat to be able to physically get in it.

And bollocks to STS @Blondeshavemorefun. Keep going - it will just be a blip.

Happy holidays @poppym12 . I feel like I could do with a few days of warmth and sunshine, so I'm a bit envious. How long is the flight? There might be clothes outlets at whatever UK airport you are flying from. They often have holiday outfits available.

I feel distinctly under the weather again. I thought I was just over the horrific flu/cough thing and now my throat is all scratchy and sore again. I don't know if it is the same thing or something else. 😭

@poppym12 any chance you can pick up some new shorts at the airport? Then at least you can start your holiday feeling good.

I've booked a holiday to Lanzerote for end of Februrary so loving the Canaries chat @Azuresky68 and @poppym12 That's just over 6 weeks away and I'd really like to lose 7pounds to get to a healthy BMI. Then possibly a few more pounds off to give me some wiggle room as I head into maintenance. I'm still working my way back up the 5mg pen so weight loss isn't fast. Will probably go back to 2.5mg for maintenance but still plenty of time to think about that. I changed to Oushk a couple of months back because of their approach to maintenance. All good with them so far, but I don't do their facebook stuff.

Hope the knees are better soon @owlyboo As I've got older I've become so much more nervous on ice, I've been walking tentatively like a wee old lady!

The flight is around 4 hours depending on prevailing wind. I fly from Bristol airport so not much chance of buying anything there. There's a JD sports (I'm not ready for anything lycra!!) or a small Accessorize. They sometimes have a few bits of beach wear so I'll have a look.

I've packed a couple of long shirts and a sarong so hopefully I'll get something new in Fuerteventura.

Ow ow @owlyboo ! (Sounds like the start of a song - sing to the tune of let’s go fly a kite 😀) I haven’t fallen over yet this winter, but am dreading it - it’s so painful!

I’ve sts all week, but luckily shaved a pound off this morning following an optimistic wee. I do think it will happen more often for all of us as we’ve lost more - losses are bound to slow down. Being rational doesn’t stop it being disappointing though, so commiserations to @Blondeshavemorefun .

I was looking forward to my second week of a completely standard 5mg dose meaning I didn’t have to count clicks or use a syringe. Yet again the pen malfunctioned near the end of pushing the plunger in, so I think I’m a bit short but not really sure how much (about one turn - six clicks maybe?) so am anxious about topping up. So irritating!

It's my happy place too @Azuresky68. I'm taking my other half this time but often travel alone. It's the one place I feel relaxed as soon as I get there.

Jabbed first 12.5 mg last night...was going to have breakfast but no hunger at all. After 12.5 mg I am hoping to head for maintenance but wondering how I will titrate down..I would prefer to drop to a much cheaper dose for maintenance.

I'm only just catching up on this thread, it moves so quickly!

Sorry to hear about your knees @owlyboo. I'm at the age now where if I fall over I feel it may be referred to as 'having a fall' 😲. Hope you're feeling less sore today.

I am always in my 1200 a day even if hungry

I think I would struggle at 1000 for a day or two as do use 99% of my 1200 a day

weird your pen keeps jamming. I’ve had it happen twice since aug. Think first then was 2/3week so was all new to it and was ahhhhhhh

I did a 10 and took 2.5 off the bonus bit

im just unsure about my carrot 5 and esp as it did get hot and ice pack totally defrosted and warm and sat in a hot Royal Mail sorting office on a very hot weekend. It did hit late 20’s that weekend where I was

so either date as runs out next month or got too hot in the heat

if I don’t lose next week I will be very annoyed

I don’t mind sts when been over Cals /bad but been good all week thi hungry and filled up on eggs /chicken /protein drinks

sts is going to happen now and then. Weight loss isn't linear. You could be losing cm still though. I'm using a pen use by Feb and is working fine.

@Blondeshavemorefun I have been every size up to 18 at my highest weight in my sad old days but sizing is different across brands isn't it. Also I have varied up and down in weight for last 5 years between 9 St 4 pounds in 2020 after doing keto and fasting and gradually crept up to 11 stone this year. Mainly 10 - 14 but again a 14 on someone average or tall looks different to a 14 on someone around 5 foot like me.

Weigh and jab day.
I lost the kg I had gained so I guess sts. Quite pleased because I weighed after breakfast and lunch and had still lost.

With jab I really messed up. I had to-do a hard twist on my 5mg to get to 1. When I I injected it got stuck and didn't go all the way. It was a more than half way down. I withdrew with a syringe 0.6ml. So not really sure how much I've injected.

I probably didn't explain very well. I was pushing a size 18 when I was 14 stone.
This time I started at 11 stone and was size 14 for tight/fitted things like jeans. After losing 1 stone 8 pounds I am a comfortable size 10, apart from New Look skinny jeans!

Good luck with 12.5 mg. Maybe it will help you reduce calories to a 1000 for a couple of days to boost weight loss.
Re the app the sort feature isn't working on Android version so I have emailed them.

i still think it’s something to do with the pen being hot/melted ice packs for 2/3 days in the hottest weekend we had

What do you think I should do? I'm confused why I had to do a hard twist to get to 1 (5mg) but could remove 0.6ml from the pen too. So in total I guesstimate I had 6mg. Argh!

Has anyone seen the She Med ads on social media? It's too late for me but they are offering a year's subscription for £99 a month for any strength pen. I googled the company name and there was mention of a scam but it all looks genuine ...who knows 🤔
