Hi all! I made it! 3 stone loss in basically 4 months! 1 or 2 more stone to go. It's been a journey indeed and it's taken some dedication and being intentional with what i do, though MJ has made this so much easier than doing it alone, which i would have given up by now. MJ provided ease with consistency and this is what I lack naturally when there's no dopamine rush or instant result due to my ND brain! So grateful to have found this medicine!

Amazing losses here, congrats to everyone! 😊

SpiderMother · 05/01/2025 12:42

I’m also showing a small gain for the first time. I assume it’s a delayed impact of Christmas and New Year. I feel a bit disheartened because it worries me about the difficulty of maintenance - I definitely ate much less than previous years and I still tracked as well as I could with social stuff going on. Back to being stricter and hoping the gain drops off quickly.

I have also started focusing on strength exercise - that’s my goal for January.

CountingSleepySheep · 05/01/2025 13:06

Long time lurker here, thank you for the group it has been brilliant support for me as I have only told family about MJ.

Started 23.09.2024
SW 15.6
CW 12.1
GW 9.7

Posting for a bit of accountability as I also got that bug over Christmas which has left me tired and I'm starting to feel like the end may never come!

Currently on 3.75mg, I made it up to 5mg for one pen but came back down as I was loosing a bit too fast and I want to keep the weight off once it has gone.

It feels like there is still such a massive mountain to climb. Hoping to be in a healthy BMI by then end of March (10 stone) and then target by April.

Already nervous about maintenance same as a lot of people I think.

Thank you all again.

Sounds like there were a lot of us with the Christmas plague this year! Glad we are all starting to get over it, although I know what you mean about the tiredness @CountingSleepySheep! I forced myself up off the sofa this morning and started couch 25k (for about the 1000th time). Hoping 2025 is the year I finally get my fitness back!!

85reasons · 05/01/2025 15:09

@sylv165 I will be joining you! (For the 1000th time...).

Also struck with Christmas lurgy - but having to slog through MBA assignment. Whilst ill.... 🤧 🎻

sylv165 · 05/01/2025 15:16

Oh good @85reasons you can keep me accountable then! And I am also doing a masters (LLM rather than MBA) so I feel your pain on that one too 🤣

Whereisthewine · 05/01/2025 16:51

Came off 3.75mg in mid December with a view to starting again this month. Gained 5lbs 😔 which I'm not happy about but haven't been as strict with myself and have allowed myself bread and cheese which I didn't do on MJ. Now impatiently waiting on my Cloud delivery to get back on the wagon. Have been cutting back the last few days in preparation

MandarinDentistTiger · 05/01/2025 16:58

I'm inspired by posts to get stuff in for soup and chopped salads. That's as meal preppy as I can get.

I'm on 7.5mg and it's 17 weeks since my first jab. I forgot to inject last night, maybe suppression is still strong? Leftover roast dinner tonight.

SpottyBumPony · 05/01/2025 17:28

I've had a good cook up today.

Veg soup for lunches
Bolognaise (mushroom and lentil for me)
Bollywood pie (curry cottage pie basically) with the same mushroom lentil mix for me
Crispy tofu pieces marinating for tomorrow

We're having fajitas one night, chicken for the family, beans for me, there's steaks in the fridge, and I want to make brocoli steaks one night too

Are you starting from scratch with the C25K? I am pondering whether to jump in at weeks 3 or 4 <impatient>

Well done on doing your LLB. I am seriously questioning my choice to do this MBA. On top of stressful ft job, etc etc. Am now 50% of the way through this assignment, so that's something!

Orangesandlemons77 · 05/01/2025 18:02

I've just starting using Frive fresh ready meals which look like they might go nicely with MJ

Don't want to spam you with codes on this thread but I have put one in the right section if anyone wants to try them at 50% off.

I've two prawn, two salmon and two sea bass meals for midweek in the fridge now, and an overnight oats breakfast one to try.

I'm also trying to up my protein so sometimes combining with a protein shake in the day as well.

sylv165 · 06/01/2025 08:15

@85reasons yes I have started at the start. I was also tempted to start on a later week but I thought I may as well enjoy the easy first week or two and ease myself in gently! It will be interesting to see how it affects my weight as typically as soon as I start to exercise properly I instantly gain weight. Not sure why but it is a lifelong trait. I do know that my body shape changes for the better so I just have to deal with the blip on the scales, but it could be a frustrating few weeks!

And yes, I am also juggling my masters along side a full time job, 2 kids and a husband that works abroad so I also question my sanity! But I am done with all the taught modules with just a dissertation to go, so it is too late to turn back now 🤣. Well done for getting through half of your assignment!

Bumblebeehum · 06/01/2025 09:07

Umm, I need more detail on Bollywood Pie @SpottyBumPony !

Weigh-in day for me, lost the standard 2lbs this week taking me back to pre-Christmas weight, I'm still chasing that 3 stone loss (1 more pound then I can do my comparison pics).

SW 245
CW 204
Mini goal 199
Main goal 150

Increased my dose to 43 clicks mainly as a psychosomatic kick to stop the Christmas grazing. Might need another kick on Thursday.

This is me too. I gained 3lb in two weeks - as well as Christmas it is also my birthday and we had people visiting, were visiting people lots of outings - I definitely ate less than normal and thought I might maintain, so I am a bit disappointed - and it does point to how difficult maintenance is going to be. I stayed on 5.0mg throughout, and kept up with my 3X a week weights workouts. I am hoping to hit target in April, so a few months to think about how to manage.
I was also feeling quite good about myself, having lost 2 stone and got down to 25 BMI - but I have just seen photos of myself from behind at a party, and I still look big (am v short). Which is more disappointment!

Doggymummar · 06/01/2025 11:59

Well done @FlatStanley50 , 25 is top end of healthy BMI isn't it? I'm lost now I don't know what's what. My next target is BMI 30, currently 32.9 my app says I will get there in April. That will have been two years on WLM by then and god knows how many thousands of pounds spent, but it seems attainable right now. I think 30 is overweight rather than obese, so that will be nice!

Thanks - yes, well still officially overweight until you get to 24.9 - though I am back up to 25.5 now. Coming up to 2 years - that is amazing - which app are you using?

InfoSecInTheCity · 06/01/2025 14:09

I did a scary thing any trying to be positive about it so I don't cancel.

I am booked on for exercise classes at the leisure centre, tomorrow doing boxercise and Thursday doing a weight sets and reps one. This does mean I need an emergency trip to Sainsbury's/M&S tonight for sports bra and something exercise-y to wear. Gulp!

SpottyBumPony · 06/01/2025 14:36

Amazing @InfoSecInTheCity !

I was scared and excited, scare-cited if I may be so bold, when I did my first weights class 2 months a go. I'm now a gym member and really enjoying it.

You'll smash it 💪

sylv165 · 06/01/2025 15:55

Oh well done @InfoSecInTheCity! Let us know how you get on, I’m sure you will really enjoy it. I’m trying to pluck up the courage to do the same but so far am still being a big wimp!

CYMB101 · 06/01/2025 15:57

Not sure if I’m late the the party on this product, but if you are struggling to get your protein up I’ve been having the my protein clear drinks. The raspberry lemonade is my fav.

Orangesandlemons77 · 06/01/2025 16:07

I've seen people like those clear why drinks but I couldn't drink them for some reason. I'm Ok with the Huel drinks and Barebells Protein Bars though.

I use Nutracheck for logging weight, and food

MandarinDentistTiger · 06/01/2025 16:46

Up 1.25lb today which is typical for just after jab. I typically have a weekly loss of 1-2lbs.
