Happy New Year everyone. Here's to reaching milestones and goals in 2025.

Well done on your consistency and drive@InfoSecInTheCity

I ate more than usual last night, but not as much as I would have done before. I drank so much wine. I have hardly drank alcohol since starting. I got lots of wine as presents, I am putting it away for now.

Before MJ I ate well all week and it went to pot on Friday and Saturday. I'm putting my injection day back to Saturday night. I started a steps goal on an app before Christmas so will continue with that.

Prepped a big turkey roast dinner yesterday. That shouldn't be too bad, it's a lot of veggies.

StanleyCup · 01/01/2025 15:13

Happy New Year all! Its so wonderful seeing that within 4 months so many of us are within reach of those ‘unimaginable’ goals of yesteryear. Hoping all of us September starters reach our ultimate goals in 2025. Keep going, keep motivating each other and let’s love ourselves a little more for what we have already achieved.

I'm very good friends with my scales this week, they're showing a 2.5 lb loss since Monday. I've been making a concerted effort to drink water after a weekend away with lots of wandering about and far too much coffee.

I'm less good friends with my car which will result in me being 200 pounds lighter by the end of the day thanks to a knackered exhaust 😂

7Purpleheartsarmy · 02/01/2025 11:08

Happy new year 🙂 week 18 after slowly going up in doses i have taken my first 5mg today 🤞 i found myself grazing again so took the plunge! Nsv the fat on the backs of my upper legs has flattened a bit 🙂

Week 18, I'm a few days late reporting in. Christmas was lovely, I've eaten my share of nuts, dates, panettone and mince pies but that share has naturally been much reduced. 400g on, I'd call that maintenance for Christmas.

Loss - 22.4kg … a small bale of hay.
Goal - to be in the healthy BMI range (70.3kg)

Hi everyone, happy new year! Lovely to read all the updates over the holiday period.

I was able to stand in the scales for the first time today since before Christmas due to travel and I'm delighted to say that I've stayed the same - possibly even lost 100g without feeling deprived at all or feeling co scouts of being on a diet(albeit I was ill a couple of days). Something definitely feels miraculous about that though. Can it just be portion control? It feels like something else (blood sugar regulation / insulin resistance?) is at work as well.

Like many others I'm focused on getting to goal but also trying to build some good exercise habits. I want to commit to going to the gym 2x per week regularly so posting here for accountability. I feel a bit weak and would really like to put on some muscle

That said, like many others,

20bloodypounds · 02/01/2025 14:32

NSV This morning I cut my toenails and I noticed how easy it was. My knees could fit in the space between my arms and my feet and I was neither struggling to find a good angle nor squashing my fat belly and holding my breath (the only way I could reach before). Who knew the chore of cutting toenails wasn't horrendous for everyone? Grin

Orangesandlemons77 · 02/01/2025 15:17

Happy new year!

I have worked out I am about half way there- started at 16 stone, now around 13..so in 4 months should be around 10ish.

I have just rejoined the local gym which has a pool ao planning on going there and getting fitter as well. It's quite expensive so going to need to to justify the membership. going to try e.g. yoga as well now a bit less fat.

I remember feeling the same tying shoe laces, glad that is not a thing anymore!

mimosa1 · 02/01/2025 16:40

Has anyone bought any nice new clothes in the Jan sales? I've finally taken the plunge and got rid of some trousers that are too big and bought a lovely burgundy dress at new look. Still a long way to go, but it is fun rediscovering clothes in the meantime :)

Doggymummar · 02/01/2025 21:32

I bought two pairs of jamas and two jumper dresses in a 14 hoping to have them for the future. But they fitted so all my 20 18 and 16s have gone on Vinted and nearly all sold! I've ordered some 12s now. And jeans with no stretch, I forgot them.

sylv165 · 02/01/2025 21:55

I bought a pair of the M&S high waisted magic jeans, not in the sale sadly. But they are very flattering. I’m also planning on getting some cheap bits from primark, Asda etc to keep me going. I’m down from a 14 (but in reality a 16) to a 10/12, but will likely end up as a size 8. Don’t want to get too much, but at the same time I’m losing at a fairly slow and steady rate so need some things to get me through!

InfoSecInTheCity · 02/01/2025 22:03

Got a couple of size 16 dresses recently and a new fleece as my old ones could have held another person. Going to make my coat last the winter but I could easily wear 2 or 3 jumpers under there and still do it up, that might come in handy though as the colder weather is coming in this week.

Itisallgoingtobeok · 03/01/2025 07:38

I've been bouncing between 15st 1lb and 15st 5lb for 9 weeks now. This morning I saw 14st 13.8lb on the scales. I'll admit that it's only just in the 14st bracket, but I'll take it! Let's hope that I've finally made it through this plateau and I'm heading on down again.

Doggymummar · 03/01/2025 10:38

@Itisallgoingtobeok brilliant that's a big drop. Happend sometimes and is why it's so important not to lose heart. Well done

Ooh not heard of magic jeans. Will check them out

sylv165 · 03/01/2025 11:17

@Doggymummar they have a few different styles and I went for the slim flare ones. I really like them!

Doggymummar · 03/01/2025 13:16

They look nice - thanks for the headsup

MandarinDentistTiger · 03/01/2025 13:22

I have had a reduction in food noise from the start. I've only just experienced suppression on my first week of 7.5mg. On NYD i ate a sandwich. Four hours later I had a roast dinner. I could only manage one potato and a few vegetables because I felt so full.

I've decided to have a massive sort out of my clothes. I'll keep what fits now and clothes too small.

I have been on this for 16 weeks. My first milestone is a party on 1 Feb 2025. My 16 week counter is 25 April 2025. Losing at the same rate would see me 2 stone 5.5lb down. I'm hoping to lose more by meeting my daily walking goals and drinking more water.

Orangesandlemons77 · 03/01/2025 14:03

I saw an elderly relative yesterday and she mentioned about the weight loss for the first time. I told her I had lost nearly 3 stone and instead of saying something like 'great' she said 'well you were very large' Hmm, thanks! I just laughed and said 'thanks'

Oh dear, no one has really mentioned anything to me about weight loss- based on your experience I’m quite glad!!

She does have some issues with food / eating and likes to go on about people being 'large' anyway I will avoid the topic in future.

Orangesandlemons77 · 03/01/2025 18:29

I went swimming today at the gym, (have joined for 6months) they have this body scanner which does body composition so going to try that and see the changes over the next few months. Hopefully that will keep me going

I thought it would be busy with January starters but it was not and I had a lane to myself in the pool. Found it a bit easier to get into the costume than last time I went a few months ago as well which was a bonus.
