Please get the bunting out… my plateau has ended! 4lb off this week. Looking at my data it seems that my body needs a rest every stone or so. As long as I keep doing the right things it budges eventually.

I’m now firmly in the 13 stone bracket. Psychologically it seems a huge jump from 14 stone and I don’t know why. Of course I’m closer to a healthy weight, but I haven’t been this excited about being in the next bracket down before. Brains are strange things!

MandarinDentistTiger · 12/04/2025 11:41

Three days since my last weigh in. I am up 1.8lb. I have tracked everything and stayed below my calorie deficit. I'm hoping over the week it all works out.

I've even stopped taking whitener in coffee to shave as many calories off as possible. Frustrating.

EBoo80 · 12/04/2025 14:26

celebrating from afar @Itisallgoingtobeok!
fascinating learning about your weight loss too, which will hopefully help going forward when maintaining. Understanding the scale of my hormonal bloat has been hugely helpful to me already, and wouldn’t have hapoened without the pace of MJ weight loss.

Adelstrop · 13/04/2025 06:42

This morning's weigh in takes me to a 40lb loss since September, and I am no longer obese, just overweight! This must be the only place I can think of where I can celebrate being overweight, but it does feel good.

Itisallgoingtobeok · 13/04/2025 07:30

@Adelstrop - Congratulations, that's an amazing achievement! I am about half a stone from entering the overweight range too, and I am stupidly excited about it!

@EBoo80 - thank you helping with the bunting :)

SybillaB · 13/04/2025 14:10

Well done @Itisallgoingtobeok I am teetering on the edge and hoping 13 will appear on my scales very soon.

Very sad update from me, DH passed away on Friday. I'm all over the place at the moment, still waiting on documents before I think I can do anything practical.

DS is OK, sad at times but doing his best to cheer me up when I get sad with 'Daddy thoughts'. It's just not fair. Not for me and not for DS.

Tuesday is my normal weigh day, I've tipped on to 13 stone. A tiny bit more and I'll be overweight. I'm eating nutritious food, just not a whole heap of it. I did scoff half a mini egg chocolate bar one night but if that's what the body needs...

Bumblebeehum · 15/04/2025 08:44

So sorry for your loss @SpottyBumPonyit isn’t fair at all. I’m thinking of you and your son x

sylv165 · 15/04/2025 09:12

I’m so sorry for your loss, awful for you all. It’s not bloody fair, none of it. It sounds like you and DS have such a lovely relationship and will support each other through the weeks and months to come.

I am in awe at your commitment to carrying on the weight loss, but I know that being healthy must now be even more of a consideration and forefront in your mind after losing DH, so I understand that need to continue to focus on it.

Sending hugs from a stranger across the airwaves. Please keep posting on the thread whenever you feel able xx

InfoSecInTheCity · 15/04/2025 09:25

@SpottyBumPonyi am so sorry. Take care of yourself and allow yourself to grieve or to rant or whatever feels like it’s needed in the moment. Virtual hugs and love to you.

friendlymummy · 15/04/2025 10:46

@SpottyBumPony I'm not one for posting much but I read all the updates on this thread, and, like others here, I've been thinking about you and your son. I can't begin to imagine how tough this must be. Sending love and strength from a stranger x

@SpottyBumPony I am so sorry to hear about your DH. Sending love to you and your DS.

doodleschnoodle · 17/04/2025 12:15

Thinking of you @SpottyBumPony Hope you’re doing as well as can be expected.

I’ve been at or around goal weight for a couple of weeks. I had a maintenance call with Oushk and agreed on the taper plan starting with my current dosage of 5mg but actually with holidays and things I missed a week of jab and felt okay and then just did a half dose so I’m on 2.5mg just now and have lost another 3lbs and found that the suppression was a bit too strong again so wondering if I should brave just coming off, or switching to the flexi plan instead.

MandarinDentistTiger · 19/04/2025 09:28

Sending you virtual support @SpottyBumPony. I am so sorry to hear your sad news. Well done on carrying on through it all. 💐

MandarinDentistTiger · 19/04/2025 09:29

As of yesterday, I am officially overweight. In 2 stone I will be a normal weight..

RelishingGrpSupport · 20/04/2025 08:34

SpottyBumPony I'm another with you in my thoughts. You have been inspirational on this board and now have so much more to deal with. Best wishes on everything

Bumblebeehum · 20/04/2025 09:59

Congratulations @MandarinDentistTigeryou are two days ahead of me - I reached Overweight today.

MandarinDentistTiger · 20/04/2025 10:27

Very well done @Bumblebeehum, welcome to the overweight club.

The last 5lb have been difficult. I've recalculated my TDEE (c1500 to maintain), using weekly calories, started taking longer walks and am doing intermittent fasting.

My sister finds fasting incredibly hard. It's not for everyone. I have found it challenging to keep track of I am socialising or eating out. I am very controlled at home. Moving to weekly and having a fast day helps me. I am going to get back to 36 hour fast around jabs. Mostly for teh add health benefits rather than weight loss.

I'm still an egg on smaller legs and arms. I know I'll eventually lose the wine belt.
