Just got text that RX is ready for me to pick up and I am having the same struggle. I think I will start on Sunday the 29th. I definitely want a Sunday start each week to sleep through the night and then work from home the next day.

A very very random and funny thing just happened this afternoon... A headhunter called me to see if I'm interested in a senior job with HeliosX, the company that owns MedExpress... And one of the benefits is that you can get free medication. I'm sure that's not actually ethical, but goodness, it really made me laugh!

I feel like whoever takes this job will have to unravel the insanity of the discount code and price match policies they have... Honestly, that's not going to be a fun job!!!

I am on w5d6 and I felt like suppression was wearing off although 2lbs off this week which is just over my average so far.

Tonight I had a work meal out, three courses and 1 glass of wine. I had planned the smallest starter and to only eat some of the main and dessert but it was so tasty and I ate way beyond what was comfortable. I feel so bloated I could vomit. Lots of water but eurgh I wish I had just stopped, tasty but not that tasty. I just find it hard not to clear my plate and I may be needing antacids before bed. I certainly have lost my taste for wine.

I've done the same and feel terrible now. Definitely less food next time!

Amelanchier · 17/12/2024 21:29

Yes at home I still clear my plate but put much less on it to start with these days.

Oceangreyscale · 17/12/2024 21:36

Also had a 3 course work lunch today, but it was fine.

Didn't eat breakfast.

A couple of canapés, ate the smoked salmon starter, left most of the main as I didn't like it much anyway, ate the dessert and a mini mince pie.

Was pretty full but ok, and then just had dinner now at 9pm.

I am exhausted. As per my weight loss is dead slow and stop although with an overall snails pace of down but the main side effect I seem to be having is bone wrenching exhaustion. The last 4 nights I have averaged over 10 hours sleep per night and I am still shattered. My suppression still feels good on the first 5mg I took on Thursday and I saw ok losses over the weekend but I’ve put those back on now 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t seem to be losing properly unless I starve myself.

Same utterly floored I went down to 3.75 last week as 5 wiped me out but still I'm floored, I've been making the effort to eat more and to drink more water and I've been averaging 1200 a day food wise but i'm so, so tired. I look old and haggard.

Wow! After feeling horrible for two days I have woken up feeling great! Managed to eat just smaller portions and the sickness and diarrhoea stopped! Hurrah!!

This gives me hope, we have been having the similar issues with going up the doses 🙂

BleachedJumper · 17/12/2024 21:56

I was worried about the jump from 2.5 to 5 @Notadream @TeenLifeMum, it’s the only point at which the dose gets doubled overnight and it just didn’t seem sensible to me unless I was completely not experiencing side effects or active suppression, which obviously wasn’t true as I’d lost some real weight on 2.5.

I know not everyone agrees with altering how the medication is prescribed, but I have read a lot of medical people, particularly from the US, who are in support of ‘microdosing’ and I think it makes a lot of sense.

I didn’t have many symptoms from the 2.5 and now I’m on the 5mg I’m actually fine (except feeling cold). I’m not feeling any different to be honest.

I love listening to Dr Tyler Moore ( I think that's her name) she advocates microdosing too.

Sorry @TeenLifeMum please excuse me, I misquoted you.

Glad to hear you are not suffering unduly with the mj!

OliviaFlaversham · 18/12/2024 07:16

Due to a weekend away (Friday to Monday) I delayed my Saturday dose to Tuesday morning. Thanks for recommendations on the pen holder for travelling though!

It was interesting to see how by Sunday evening I wasn’t cold anymore and that I was able to eat a LOT without feeling full or unwell (including big family meal out at an Indian and the next night at an Italian-these were not light meals!).

This morning, feeling cold and the morning nausea is back (it’s not too bad but noticeable). Delaying weighing until the weekend when I will jab again but on Sunday instead of going back to Saturday.

God getting dressed for work is much easier now that all my tights fit!

How did all the people who wanted to fit back into their wedding rings get on? My fingers have slimmed down a lot since starting.

Pumpkinforever · 18/12/2024 08:57

Tried my wedding ring last night @TooExtraImmatureCheddar and still just a bit tight to shuffle over the knuckle. I reckon another stone in weight will shift it.

Getting tights on more easily is a great NSV. I have moved a size down in tights and gave a couple of unopened packs of the extra large ones to the very nice hospice charity shop not the horrible national one

2lb a week is a great loss! No movement on the scales for me this week 😭

Are you eating enough protein? I’m sorry you feel so rough.

Good for you. I still can’t believe the way the other shop treated you. 💐

I’m due to move to 5mg on Saturday and I really want to stay on 2.5mg because I’m doing fine on it and I don’t want to be ill with 5mg side effects over Christmas. I’m going to try for the bonus dose from my 2.5mg pen but I don’t really want to use syringes so if the pen breaks then I’ll need to use my 5mg pen. Could someone kindly remind me how many clicks to get 2.5mg out of that?

60 clicks is a full dose, 2.5 mg is 50% of 5mg so do 30 clicks for 2.5

I had to use insulin needles for bonus dose but injection was fine to do

good luck :-)

Found a page in an old notebook today where I'd recorded my weight in September. Which means I've lost 16lbs since then. 10 on MJ. Slight drop on the scales today, and I've come on. (Annoyingly - I'm in my 50s. When will this stop?!).

I’m just so scared of doing something wrong with a syringe. Definitely a wimp.

I was very nervous so totally relevant. If I’d had the side effects I’d have dropped down next weekend so I can enjoy Christmas.
