Well I’ve decided to go for the second 5mg jab tonight so fingers crossed I’m not in the same state I was in last week 🤞

@JasonTindallsTan I’ve taken my 4th jab (yesterday) and suppression is there but nothing like what it was and my sweet tooth is sneaking through. I think I will need to move up to 5 next week. We’re out all Sunday in Bath and going for dinner so I’m thinking - do I risk it and take it in the morning or wait until I get home at 11pm ish?

I’d take it when you get home and then head to bed after.

Took just under 2mg for this week (two days ago) and still feel horrific. Bad stomach issues. Hoping this sensitivity passes as makes me question if I can tolerate it.

BleachedJumper · 09/12/2024 11:14

I know what you mean @WeakAsIAm about wrapping up in the warm baggy jumpers and coats, it is a lot harder to see the weight loss.

Well done to those of you who are exercising as well. I genuinely think I’ve always been in the camp of people who don’t get the dopamine effect from exercise that others rave about. I love walking, but I keep thinking to myself I really do need to start exercising for health/body image but by Christ do I really not want to bother!

I’ve lost 6 stone previously, then put 3 back on. At my lowest, I still wanted to lose another stone, but I was also aware that I was really unhappy with my body. The loose skin, apron belly and crepe paper tits, just horrendous. I met with a surgeon for a tummy tuck/breast lift, which would have been £18k.

I don’t know if I will ever be happy with the way I look.

I feel you, was only moaning to @TeenLifeMum adversion to the gym despite paying for it for ages over the weekend, she gave me the push I needed to get my gym kit on 'just in case' (thank you @TeenLifeMum ) So on Sat I eased myself into a pilates class, did a 20 min bike ride and have started a Peleton Yoga course to just get me back into the swing of things, just that small amount gave me DOMS 😊I also went to see a surgeon when i was lighter about a Tummy Tuck before Lockdown and was quoted 7K. I don't think I will ever be truly happy either.

Got to commute tomorrow to the office so can't hide under the Jumpers and comfies , bet the office is also artic 😩

Thanks @Mounjaropen i didn’t see that but maybe I was too focused on the potential sickness. I’ve requested a heated blanket for Christmas.

I’m really wishing the week away to Saturday and being maybe 2lbs lighter.

My mum gifted me a heated blanket about 8 years ago ( she is addicted to QVC and it was a special value or something she calls it) it is the absolute best thing , especially if you are feeling cold from losing weight. If they made heated weighted blankets though, that would be a game changer.

TeenLifeMum · 09/12/2024 23:11

@Notadream well done re the gym. Didn’t inspire myself sadly.

when I’m tired I get cold inside. It’s weird but getting worse.

MsRumpole · 10/12/2024 00:08

I've been stress-eating today. Definitely going up on the next pen. I am tremendously grateful for the last two weeks, though, it's been like a lovely holiday from all the things I hate about food and my attitude to it.

Kialla · 10/12/2024 07:25

Morning!

Some fab losses this week, well done everyone!

I've got sticky scales again, not completely unexpected as I've also had to revert to my old friend Senna...

We had a family meal on Saturday, I picked a beef stew and tiramisu. Managed about a third of each, much to the delight of my sister who got a free dessert! Other than the 2 spoonfuls of tiramisu, it seemed pretty healthy but I felt a bit ropey on Sunday. Almost hungover, but I hadn't had a drink.

I've re-ordered 5mg as it's been great so far with no side effects. I'm not hungry and the food noise isn't back, but have felt more 'picky' in the last couple of days. Not sure I'll be able to resist when the christmas chocolates come out.

I'll have a bonus dose left from my first 5mg pen plus the bonus dose from the new one. So was wondering about either trying to take about 6mg each week OR taking it every 5/6 days instead of weekly. Has anyone tried that? Reluctant to mess about with things too much but also don't want to lose the benefit over Christmas.

SellWell · 10/12/2024 07:53

Hey all 👋 I just wanted to come and say Hi and I haven't abandoned the group LOL. Currently away in the US seeing my best friend who moved here a few years ago. I was dreading coming, because I love visiting the US especially for all their massive portions 🙄and fabulous candy.....well mainly the M&Ms. Luckily I am staying at his house and have managed to resist most of the temptations until today when I just couldn't stay away from The Cheesecake Factory any longer !! Happy to report, I didn't have any cheesecake (insert smug face) and just chose 2 small starters that I couldn't finish and bough home in a to go box. I will be weighing when I get back to the UK as I don't want to ruin my stay with scales anxiety.

Massive well done to everyone out there, keep it going, we got this !!

DarkForces · 10/12/2024 07:59

My shitty scales are showing my weight as between 12.9ish and 13 on the nose so I've no idea of my actual weight. Can't wait to get my new scales for Christmas as it's depressing to still not be in the 12s despite eating less than the first few weeks. Without Mounjaro I'd have given up but as it's not that painful ravenous hunger I've got the will power to carry on. I've lost roughly a stone in 5 weeks

Ralala · 10/12/2024 08:07

Morning all! The 2.5mg is working well for me this week. I feel comfortably full but can eat food. Whatever I had last week seems to be gone!! Hurrah! I’m a little constipated but I find I get that around 48/72hours post injection . Nothing too bad and should work itself out this week!
I have a Xmas party on Friday. 3 course meal. Urghhh!! I definitely won’t want to eat it. Those mass produced Xmas meals are bad enough at the best of times nevermind when you aren’t hungry!

JasonTindallsTan · 10/12/2024 08:38

God I’m absolutely starving today.

Pumpkinforever · 10/12/2024 08:47

Pumpkinforever · 10/12/2024 09:28

Thanks @Goldleafcat

My next goal is to see a 13 as the figures on my scales by New Year. I am on a mission for that.

MJ has stopped my snacking habit and as long as 2.5 does that I will happily stay on that dose.

My expensive winter coat is looking less Michelin man. I zip it up without tugging. A little less tummy will make it look better 😂

qotsa · 10/12/2024 09:36

@Ralala mass produced.... 😆 I went to a Christmas meal one year and had ordered a pâté starter. I swear to god it was a tray of cat food they put in front of me Xmas Confused

LeanneJP · 10/12/2024 09:44

First stone lost in 4.5 weeks, feeling very happy after a few days here and there of not losing or gaining slightly. So happy I started this. 2.5 stone to go 🤞

evilharpy · 10/12/2024 09:51

@LeanneJP that's a great result, congrats!

Goldleafcat · 10/12/2024 10:09

@Pumpkinforever that’s an excellent goal. I want to see a 14 on the scales by mid January. MJ has seriously quietened my snacking too. But until now I’ve seen limited suppression for meals / wine (a big downfall for me). Saying that - I took my third 5mg dose yesterday and last night my appetite was definitely reduced, and I’m not hungry at all this morning! My husband had a glass of wine last night and I went to pour one and found I didn’t really want it. Maybe it’s finally kicking in for me? (Or perhaps I’m coming down with something 😂).

I panic bought a coat in White Stuff a couple of months ago (my other coats are too snug) and it’s much roomier than it was, but still bursts open when I bend down 😆 (it has silly poppers rather than buttons which probably doesn’t help). I have a toddler so I spend half my life bending down.

lostinchaos · 10/12/2024 10:16

I'm on wk2 d6, and it appears I have not lost anything this week... in fact I've gained slightly. I did eat slightly more over the weekend with my family at an event, but definitely stayed under 1000 calories a day. I know it's just one week, but it's making me feel a bit teary as I'm trying so hard with my eating and exercise. Xmas Hmm

Goldleafcat · 10/12/2024 10:36

@lostinchaos I struggled with losing for a while after a good loss in week one. Around week 4 things started moving again - fingers crossed you find a difference soon.

ShaunaSadeki · 10/12/2024 10:45

@lostinchaos I have had weeks like this too and moaned on here, then whoosh over a kilo over night. Just keep doing what you are doing and remember how much you might gain during a “normal” December.

I have had terrible insomnia the last 3 nights, not sure of it is due to going up to 3.75ml or not. Suppression not amazing but I’m hanging in there and have now lost 5.4 kilos. I am on WK5 day 6, (I think, as I have been moving my jab days back so in a bit of a middle). It is a modest loss but with 3 work trips and not as much exercise as I would like I am happy, I also don’t have lots and lots to lose as managed a stone prior to starting MJ.

Kialla · 10/12/2024 10:47

On MJ, my weight tends to stay about the same (occasionally increasing by 100g or so) for 5-6 days and then I get a drop.

Could yours be similar? I weigh daily as I've done coaching in the past and that was always their recommendation. With this pattern, it's helping to keep me motivated.

JasonTindallsTan · 10/12/2024 08:38

God I’m absolutely starving today.

Me too, had to eat breakfast and I don’t usually do that even when not on MJ. I don’t get to Jab again until Saturday so hope it is just tiredness and the cold and some suppression kicks in, mine is usually towards to middle of the time between jabs anyway.
