Quick question to those who’ve successfully extracted a bonus dose with a separate syringe (which I am attempting tonight). Did the MJ pen plunger smoothly move down as the MJ was drawn out? Just a bit concerned about whether the pen mechanism messes with how easy it is.

Edited

I did it for the first time yesterday - was super easy and yes, the pen plunger thingy moved down as I withdrew the liquid until the pen was empty

Perfect - thanks for confirming. Have confidence now. How much did you get out - over the 0.6ml for a standard dose?

Hi! After a long time ruminating about it, I started my Mounjaro journey this Thursday and I hope I can join. My weight is 88kg/hight 164 cm. I’ve lost 2 kg since starting but I know it’s due to stress mainly lol I have mild appetite suppression, for the first time I can stick to my calorie deficit. I do get hungry but I don’t reach for treats and snacks. Have no idea if it’s psychological or physical (I’m obviously only on 2.5 mg as I’m a new starter). I’m with Voy and like the subscription aspect and knowing when my next dose is delivered but I don’t see the point in their “coaching” (once I tried to reach for my coach through WhatsApp it was literally an AI bot, shameful…)

Only had a banana so far today. We're thinking about the pub for dinner so I'm contemplating either vegan curry or vegetable chilli with a large glass of red wine. I'm trying to resist weighing until next weekend as I'll be gutted if I haven't broken into the 12s and don't want to be disheartened and start losing willpower

@JasonTindallsTan 🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉🥳

After the horrific sulphur burps yesterday in the interest of science 🤓 I ate exactly the same food today as I did yesterday until mid afternoon. The only difference was that today I drank 3 pints of water (usually 2 but was very motivated to avoid the burps).

Results - no horrible burps!!

So based on my n=1 experiment if anyone is suffering it might be worth trying to start the day with lots of water 😃

Just wanted to say I loved your scientific reporting 😁. I’m now wondering if you have hit upon a wonder cure for all issues, so I am going to trial my own study tomorrow on the issue of indigestion/heart burn. I will confess I am going to introduce some additional variables to my experiment (different food, and I hope less PMS), but I’m willing to try to see if increasing my water intake will help with the permanent indigestion I seem to have 🤞🤞

End of week 5 and I have lost 2lbs this week.
My total loss since starting MJ is 17lbs. I have 34lbs still to lose to scrape into a healthy BMI! I am still not sure that would be possible.
I have a new 5mg pen to start today but am going to try 3.75mg by counting clicks.

Well done everyone.

Welcome

some people post regularly, some like myself are a little bit shyer, but everyone is welcomed with open arms.

I’m with Numan as I have a lot to lose and feel that the constant check-ins and encouragement via a health coach is what I need.

we are all on a journey, and there are many routes to the same destination

Hi everyone I don't think I've posted since W1! I am W2 D3, lost 6lbs in week 1! which I'm thrilled with. Not much movement since though. Bit nervous about the upcoming week as I have 3 social events (very unusual for me) all involving food.

CW 12st 4lb
SW 12 st 10lb
GW 9st 7lb

CaptainCabinetsTrappedInCabinets · 08/12/2024 18:37

W5 D4

SW 127.8kg
GW 80kg

CW 123kg

Total loss so far. 4.8kg

Had a major stall in the two weeks pre and during my period. Scales told me I'd put a kilo on when I weighed last Wednesday.

Weighed this morning and it's all dropped off and more.

MonjaroMolly · 08/12/2024 18:47

Hi everyone well done on the recent losses posted! Some more fabulous results!

I'm on jab 5 today, stuck to my 2.5 as I've had some big losses and didn't want to up it too soon! Or be too suppressed over Christmas.

This week's been my hardest so far so pleased with my results.
Weekly loss - 6lb
Total in 5 weeks - 52lb / 3 stone 10lb

Cantbesure · 08/12/2024 19:12

Nearly 4 stone in 5 weeks @MonjaroMolly? Is that right?

Wow amazing results but be careful for pancreatic problems x

ShaunaSadeki · 08/12/2024 19:37

Does anyone else bruise after injecting? For the first two I was fine but now I have 3 bruises from my last 3 jabs, the worst one being the one from 3 jabs ago, so a fortnight old now. I wonder if I was super careful for the first two and now I am just like “get in there”.

DarkForces · 08/12/2024 19:48

@ShaunaSadeki I bruised when I did the top of my thigh and hit a vein so now I the side and it's been fine

Yeah just small ones though, no bugger than a 20p. Are you being too rough?

Try slapping a few times before you inject.

Nearly 4 stone in 5 weeks @MonjaroMolly? Is that right?

Yeah that's right! I know it hardly sounds believable. I lost 5lb before starting and lost the rest in my first four weeks on 2.5.

I have a very very high starting point, don't think I've seen anyone near my SW. However thank you @IHateMozzies for the advice! ☺️

Cantbesure · 08/12/2024 20:37

Amazing @MonjaroMolly I thought I must have misread it. You must be over the moon.

Surprisingly no, given I bruise like a peach . Whereabouts do you jab? I've got for tummy as it has the most padding.

Almost 4 stone in 5 weeks?!?!? 😱You must be thrilled

ShaunaSadeki · 08/12/2024 20:54

I jab in my thighs, different spot each time, the bruises are pound coin or 50p sized. I will be a bit more gentle next week. @MonjaroMolly you must be thrilled

AllstarFacilier · 08/12/2024 21:19

I’ve just jabbed and weighed in tonight, jab number 6. I did a second 3.75. I’ve now lost just over a stone which I’m happy with, long may it continue.

lovealongbath · 08/12/2024 21:27

Need some advice…

my first jab, I did wrong, so wasted it. So on day 1 , I used 2 amounts, I did one wrong, then one correct.

so tonight I have just went to to the 4th jab and I have just realised it is the “bonus” liquid. I did the hard twist, got the air out, inserted but nothing is coming out the pen.

has this happened to anyone?

Oceangreyscale · 08/12/2024 21:28

Did first 5mg yesterday morning and I'm happy to report no side effects at all.

Today was interesting because I had a pretty big meal (soup, salmon, salad, pasta followed by some very rich cheesecake and a couple of biscuits!).

But, I only had a coffee before lunch, and haven't wanted any dinner. Just had a couple of oatcakes more because I felt I should.

Lunch wasn't enormous portions so usually I'd have still wanted dinner.

Interested to see if the suppression ramps up further the rest of the week.

smarty4 · 08/12/2024 21:44

Hi all - looking for reassurance really I'm on my fifth week and moved up to 5mg, in total I have only lost 7 pounds. I see much bigger losses and just feel really disheartened. I am eating around 1500 calories but maybe I need to reduce?
