Weigh in today. Down 4lbs this week which is the most ever but I'm more pleased that I've hit 14lbs which I think is a stone! Still loads to go though. No one has noticed the loss as I'm so huge to start with but I do think that my clothes are doing up slightly easier.

Supposed to be jab2 of the 5mg today but I'm out tonight and tomorrow eating and drinking and being festive so I might wait until tomorrow night. Not fancied alcohol at all since starting in November so this will be interesting 🍷

30 clicks for 2.5 and 45 clicks for 3.75 on the 5mg. I’m starting to feel human again after my horrific week but I won’t be taking 5mg again on Saturday. My body needs to recover and I have had days where I kept nothing in. I’m either going to skip this weeks injection or do 2.5mg

Yup, @Ralala i'm with you horrific week on 5 mg for me. This week i've jabbed 2.5 yesterday, and i may do 1.75 on Tuesday to go up to 3.75 overall but deffo not going back up to 5mg until my body is ready.

TeenLifeMum · 07/12/2024 10:12

@Notadream I’m just coming to the end of week 3 and keep thinking I need to exercise but can’t face the gym (despite paying every month 🙈). It’s basically a charity donation at this point.

I’ve lost 4lbs on week 3 and am feeling nervous about going up to 5mg. My only real side effect is tiredness. I need to be able to function in my job, with the dc and with getting Christmas sorted.

Can you go up to 5 then back down to 2.5 if it’s awful? My sweet tooth is more present than it was but I’m still eating healthily.

TeenLifeMum · 07/12/2024 10:14

Just seen previous posts. I’m thinking maybe 2.5 staggered could work? But I don’t like messing about with medication.

Oceangreyscale · 07/12/2024 10:17

Just done my first 5mg injection and quite nervous about potential side effects as I've had none so far. I've started a new job and have all the normal kids and home stuff and can't afford to not be on my game. At least I have the weekend before Monday hits.

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 06/12/2024 11:12

Hey Ralala that’s great to hear you’re starting to feel human again after a bad week!

I was wondering what you think about splitting the 5 dose into 2x 2.5?

I’m thinking about doing this as zero suppression on my last (golden dose jab) of 2.5. Also had a gain this week, food noise and bready stuff/ chocolate has snuck in (hence the 2-3 lb gain I think) Keen to nip it in the bud, banish the noise and start losing again!

So thinking of taking another 2.5 dose today, from the new 5 mg pen. This will make it a 5mg overall dose for the week, but split by a couple of days.

Anyone else done this, or think is a bad/ good idea?

I think i'm going to try and do a split dose this week too

Another 2lbs off this week. I might try and get an extra dose out of the 2.5mg next week, but if it doesn't work then I have the new 5mg pen in the fridge ready to go.

And @LindtCurves good shout on the multiserve popcorn bags - I got my food shop in yesterday and they've been a game changer. I love the stuff anyway but can never be arsed making it from scratch - making it fresh with chilli flakes and dried seaweed rather than salt is delicious, but difficult to gauge amounts of oil use etc. and I always get a hard to scrape burnt bit on the pan.

Whattodowithaminute · 07/12/2024 10:39

Well done on losses all. I felt rough yesterday after 5mg first dose on Thursday but not sure whether I’m getting a cold, was freezing all night and youngest is sick. At friends for dinner tonight but will drive so can dodge the alcohol, hopefully just manage meal with portion control, I didn’t eat much yesterday so hopefully still down overall

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 07/12/2024 10:42

Happy Saturday everyone!

Just heading out with the family but wanted to pop on a quick update re: split dose:

So I was hoping for the suppression to reappear this morning after jabbing last night another 2.5, but nope 🙄

had marmalade toast for breakfast after a broken nights sleep with our toddler and could easily have more if we weren’t about to go shopping, nagging sweet craving is there.

So, I guess, either there might be a delay then suppression reappear 🤷‍♀️ or not and the split dose hasn’t worked for me. Maybe it works for some but not others but think am going to need to have the weekly bigger dose in one go (though this makes me feel apprehensive re: side effects 😬)

Still stubbornly stuck at 13 stone. I don't entirely trust my analogue scales though as it depends where they are in the bathroom. Getting new fancy digital ones for Christmas from dh. He's benefiting from m new healthy diet and is now the same weight as me despite a lot of snacking! 😡

KentishMama · 07/12/2024 11:13

3.75mg has definitely kicked in after 48 hours. I'm glad I didn't go straight to 5 mg and will probably do 3.75 for at least another couple of weeks, over the holidays. Suppression very strong, so I did a very low calorie day as a one-off yesterday as my weight had plateaued a bit. And hey presto, a whole pound lighter this morning. So that's 5 kg in 3 weeks!

@TeenLifeMum I opted into a gym membership through a salary sacrifice in April, i've been twice !!! Such a waste 😩

I feel I’m helping keep people in a job 😂🙈

I’ve not run for about 3 weeks either. I was trying to do a 5k once a week but it’s so boring. If I tried today, so long as I go with the wind, I might get a pb time! (Not actually doing this as I might die). I’ve planned to get the dumbbells out later and use the gym app for a home exercise session.

I’m nearly at a weight Dh and I can use my 2 man kayak! Currently over the weight limit so last summer I just took a dc with me. My dc are teens and hollow beanpoles. Dd1 is almost 17, 5’9” and a size 6 in clothes. She’s never been fussed about food. Definitely not my genes!

I’m glad you like them!

Popcorn obviously doesn’t have a rep as a nutritious food, but actually if you look at brands like Propercorn and go for the low salt, no sugar option, it’s a low calorie, high fibre, filling little snack and feels a bit of a treat 😊

A nutritionist recommended it as another way to get fibre in.

Cantbesure · 07/12/2024 11:41

Yay @JasonTindallsTan - fabulous news!!

I'm W3D5 and 8lbs down. Tipped into the 9stones today (I'm very very short!). Not been in the 9s since lockdown 1. Feeling more hungry this week. But that's quite nice as I had zero interest in food weeks 1 and 2 which meant I wasn't really eating meals and living on cup a soup, Quorn cocktail sausages and babybel lights. Now I want to eat but getting full more quickly.

Currently wondering about protein or vegan collagen powders.

It's coming up to ordering my new pen time and debating between staying on 2.5 or moving to 5 and maybe trying a 3.75 dose.

ShaunaSadeki · 07/12/2024 11:51

I am back from my work trip and put on 1kg, I am leaving it until tomorrow before being disappointed/annoyed in case the travelling puffed me up temporarily, massively clutching at at straws)

I didn’t eat much there although a bit more at than at home and we did have a night on the lash, but I felt like I would have maintained as got loads of steps and managed 1 run and a small weights session.

I am moving up to 3.75 today, excited! There won’t be many steps today due to weather so going to sort the house out and unpack and then do a longer weights workout from YouTube

Right, this is crazy. I’ve lost 20lb in 3 weeks now. My first target weight was 175lb and looks like I may reach it within first month?! First week was a 13lb loss but that was obviously water weight.

I stalled about a week ago but looks like I’ve cracked it this week. I seem to respond to quite a bit calorie deficit only, with a base rate of 1,600, 1,400 isn’t doing it for me at all, I need to get under 1,000 cals, which with MJ feels ok. Eat only nutritious, good foods, lots of different fruit and veg, and of course protein and fibre.

My usual exercise is weights but I’ve noticed that cardio is what really has an affect, so have taken up dancing. Makes me happy and really makes me lose.

I feel thirsty all the time at the moment though and water just goes right through me. At one of the dance workouts I finally felt nauseous and dying for a drink, it feels almost dangerous for me to not be near water constantly because of the extreme thirst I feel.
