I might not have lost any weight this week, but I ordered myself a very small fry up this morning (beans, egg, bacon, sausages, one of each) which would never previously have been enough for me, ate it slowly and felt exactly right at the end of it, and that's actually an amazing NSV for me just to experience being satisfied by a normal-sized breakfast.

Bye bye 19s, off you fuck. This keeps me pretty much on track to weigh by Christmas what I weighed last Christmas.
Onwards and downwards and I'm attempting to get the bonus dose out tonight.

30 clicks for 2.5 and 45 clicks for 3.75 on the 5mg. I’m starting to feel human again after my horrific week but I won’t be taking 5mg again on Saturday. My body needs to recover and I have had days where I kept nothing in. I’m either going to skip this weeks injection or do 2.5mg

Hey Ralala that’s great to hear you’re starting to feel human again after a bad week!

I was wondering what you think about splitting the 5 dose into 2x 2.5?

I’m thinking about doing this as zero suppression on my last (golden dose jab) of 2.5. Also had a gain this week, food noise and bready stuff/ chocolate has snuck in (hence the 2-3 lb gain I think) Keen to nip it in the bud, banish the noise and start losing again!

So thinking of taking another 2.5 dose today, from the new 5 mg pen. This will make it a 5mg overall dose for the week, but split by a couple of days.

Anyone else done this, or think is a bad/ good idea?

I got my whoosh this morning! 1.8kg off, which shouldn't even be possible but I started my period yesterday so I'm putting this week's stubborn scales down to that.

Total loss is 12.2kg in 6 weeks and I'm in the 15 stone bracket. Haven't been here since pre-kids and my oldest is 9.

On the subject of cost, I am definitely saving at least the cost of the pen on food. No takeaways, no coffee and cake, no booze, no chocolate for in the car on the arduous 2 mile trip home from Tesco. Even just the days where I fancied a particular meal and would easily spend £15 on ingredients for it when there were plenty of suitable options at home.

I still feel a bit sick at the cost though and dreading the cost of the higher doses.

Well done! 👏 👏 Great result and a new shiny number 😊

hitting a new stone bracket doesn’t half feel great doesn’t it!

Wow! You must rightly feel awesome!

Ok I’m laughing MsRumpole imagining you having one bean with your fry up! (I know you didn’t mean it that way, but made me chuckle! 😂😂)

I had a mini win yesterday…a lovely winter coat which recently couldn’t fit due to my fat middle section (no other way to describe it) now is zipping up again with no problems. Agh it made me so happy to wear it again. I almost donated it to charity a while ago in a fit of pique- so glad I resisted.

Yay we like a bit of coat chat here! 😁 well done! 🎵 “Reunited and it feels so good!…” 🎶

And thanks everyone re: maintenance dose providers/ ideas 👍 but will pop them an email and see what they come back with.

I’m want to swap from Voy as they don’t do maintenance and were also v expensive for the second pen - £199, ouch! No discount 🥺 the coaching is ok but not at that price!

JasonTindallsTan · 06/12/2024 12:03

Well done everyone on the losses, everyone doing so well!

I stayed in a hotel last night so haven’t been able to weigh this morning. I had a few drinks last night but only had two slices of the widely available pizza and a couple of the side dishes at the big pub lunch we had. Not eaten anything yet so far today but have picked up a chocolate twist from costa as I’m craving a bit of sugar to alleviate the brain fog that a few sauces last night have left me with. I’ll weigh when I get home but with the knowledge it’ll probably be more than it would have been early doors.

Pumpkinforever · 06/12/2024 12:15

@JasonTindallsTan dont bother weighing yourself for a day or two.

Jabtastic · 06/12/2024 12:20

So I did indeed cancel my jabs @KeepCalmandGiveItaGo but I'm cheering you all on. I basically start feeling like a normal human being again the day I'm due to jab and this week I couldn't bring myself to inject myself and voluntarily be miserable for a week. I also have a job that makes diarrhea a hazard. Once I stopped my symptoms have abated and it may just be that MJ and I aren't for each other.

I may drop in from time to time to say hi and I may even start again in the New Year with a very clear plan for a very clean diet. At the minute life has too much juggling BUT MJ did help me break out of a really bad period of stress binge eating and I'm grateful for that. It may ultimately help me eat better even off it.

Good luck all x

As a PS I was pretty underwhelmed by Voy in the end. Most of the 'coaching' is an AI chatbot. Although my coach was lovely a WhatsApp message once or twice a week doesn't justify the additional cost.

If I do ultimately start again I will look for a consistently cheaper supplier but I think Voy was a good starter just to get the confidence to try the jabs.

Bonus dose help please. Who has managed it without insulin needles?

From what I've read, the "hard twist" method only works 50% of the time. For me it didn't - I managed to break the mechanism just fine, bit then the plunger didn't work. So I needed insulin needles, but that was dead easy.

Caffeinequeen91 · 06/12/2024 13:32

So I ordered my second pen from MedExpress. I’m only on W2 but there were posts about them taking ages and their website also said about a delay. It’s been dispatched less than 24 hours after I ordered 😅They price matched but it’ll come off my next order. Maybe I should have asked for a price match before I ordered!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/12/2024 14:41

I ordered my 5mg pen from Med Express on Monday and it arrived today. It should have come yesterday but I was out all day so asked the post office to delay it. I need to email them about price matching too!

WeakAsIAm · 06/12/2024 16:09

@KeepCalmandGiveItaGo

I considered doing it last week but then decided just to go for the full 5mg a day early.

I've read on other posts of people doing this regularly as a way to manage the suppression 'running out' by the end of the week. It seems to work well for them.

Oh lovely you’ve had such a rough ride and I think I would have done the same! Thanks for staying and cheering us on! 😃 And please do visit us here as long as you like and keep posting as an honorary Nov club member! 😊🩷

I’m so glad some good came of it in the end to break a binge cycle and help you move forwards from that. A positive end to a challenging time.

Please do think about still getting your gallbladder checked, is an easy process for this via your Gp (referral for an ultrasound) could prob even request via a telephone apt if you haven’t got time to go in.

Yeah Voy gave me starter confidence too. The coaching isn’t enough reason to stay and yes I’ve mostly had the AI bot ‘Coach Joy’ too! 😆 they really could do with doing decent discounts/ offers like other providers

Unfortunately I'm in NI, where the health service is broken beyond your wildest imaginings so it would likely take literally years to get a gall bladder scan Sad But I'll definitely keep an eye on it x

So sorry but yes pls do, and if you get pain A&E could hopefully bypass the waiting list(?) though hope you never need it x

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 06/12/2024 16:40
