Welcome back @KeepCalmandGiveitaGo Smile

I ended up needing diarrhea meds in work today and I didn't eat a thing until lunchtime. I'm really coming to crunch time now - I still haven't even taken 5mg yet and I'm seriously thinking about quitting. Maybe MJ just isn't for me. I'll think about it tonight and I may do one more 3.75 jab. If side effects are still bad it might be time for me to admit defeat.

The truth is 2.5 didn't work for me but 3.75 is wrecking me. I don't want to ruin my Christmas- I'd rather have a fresh start in January without the MJ.

I am now thinking about buying next pen, I used med express for my first pen but haven’t been successful in anyone new buying with my code so I don’t have any discount. Does anyone have a discount code for repeat user or seen any deals?

I went with Juniper for my first Pen and it was so much money really for what I actually used them for, so I went with OUSHK Pharmacy next, I typed 'Oushk pharmacy discount code' into google and used the top hit, sorry can't remember what it was and got my next pen for £136 including PP, so i think they are competitive, they ask all the same questions, and want pics etc. The delivery was prompt with extra needles etc no frills though aside from another little measuring tape.

W3 and I’m hungry. Sweet tooth has returned. I’m going to need to add in traditional will power to get through the week!

Cantbesure · 02/12/2024 21:45

Sorry to hear that @Jabtastic
Is there any support from your provider on managing your symptoms?

NoOneAtTheInn · 02/12/2024 22:52

@WellyBootsandPuddleSuits phenomenal loss in 3 weeks

Caffeinequeen91 · 02/12/2024 22:56

I’m on week 2 of 2.5mg and thinking ahead to the next pen. When would you recommend I order? I don’t know whether to stay on 2.5mg or go to 5mg. I’m getting good suppression and have been at 1000-1200 calories per day without much effort. Some days I’ve had to eat a snack to get me over the 1000. I lost 5lb in week 1. Is anyone else sticking with 2.5mg maybe?

NoOneAtTheInn · 02/12/2024 22:59

And @imanidiotsandwich @Kialla - amazing losses - and others which I will have missed when catching up on thread
Just brilliant.

I started to get less suppression in week 3 so I'd recommend leaving it as late as possible to make the decision on your next order. I must admit I'm scared to move up tomorrow though!

NoOneAtTheInn · 02/12/2024 23:05

Week 3 day 2 here, having lost 11lb in first two weeks but felt just awful so I have been experimenting slightly.
I know this won't be for everyone but hopefully in the spirit of the thread it's okay to share.

I have two very young kids and hubby away at weekend so couldn't face the jab day side effects with kids alone. Delayed jab from Saturday to Sunday.

Then did 1.25mg jab (counted clicks) rather than 2.5mg on Sunday to see how that would feel.

Today I have no nausea whatsoever - compared to a horrific few days at start of weeks 1 & 2.

Appetite isn't ridiculous but definitely not as suppressed as it was on 2.5mg.

Plan is to keep going through tomorrow and probably do the other 1.25mg on Weds. So in essence still have the 2.5mg but spread out slightly. Have read a good bit online about microdosing helping with nausea but nothing conclusive in terms of an actual study. But felt worth a try.

KeepCalmandGiveItaGo · 02/12/2024 23:06

Hello and good Monday to you all!

W4 D5 and had a few wonky moments but happy with 12 lb loss in a month. Tum seems to be fluctuating between v loose and constipation so a bit up in the air with my usual constipation meds, but isn’t too bad, just hoping it doesn’t go super loose when out of the house with my toddler! Made a wrong food choice last Thursday after 4th 2.5 mg jab the night before, no breakfast then an oriental noodle pot for lunch (the Nissin ones) with some scrambled egg mixed through and phew did that thing sit in my stomach like a lead weight for the rest of the day/ evening! Won’t be having another one of them any time soon especially so close after jabbing! Suppression has been good in week 3 & 4 after being v light in week 2 (wondering if I didn’t do the jab quite right that week) so need to decide whether to move up or not. Planning to do the bonus dose Weds night and have syringes in case the hard twist doesn’t work.

Well done everyone for your great losses, big and small, it is so inspiring and really feels like we’re a community on here!

An update on the winter coat situation - it still does not comfortably zip up HOWEVER if I suck in hard and don’t breathe the zip CAN be persuaded to close but do then resemble a human sausage 😂 December goal is to be able to zip that sucker up and look more normal, less sausage!

Thank you for this. I hope your jab goes well tomorrow.

I don’t know how quick the turnaround is for a second order. if anyone is with medexpress how quick is the second delivery from order date? And I’ve just noticed someone mentioning a bonus dose. Where can I learn about that?

Other than a headache on day 2 I haven’t had any side effects other than feeling really full after eating some things. I did get quite a big bruise after injection 2 which surprised me after just a tiny dot for week 1. Could I have done it wrong somehow?

I hit a vein and still have the bruise 3 weeks later! I've found if I inject into the side of my thigh there's not a mark!
I use Ashtons that are really fast to deliver but not sure about any others.

PinkArt · 02/12/2024 23:17

@KeepCalmandGiveItaGo I tried the jacket I bought in an optimistic 16 rather than the more realistic pre-jabs 18. It's definitely closer to an ok fit but it's got poppers and if I breathe out it bursts open, like a Carry On.

Thanks Jabtastic and the other posters for the welcome back! V glad to have found you all again. It was a mad week at home and with children’s birthdays (my own and other school friends) and the other DC ill, it has really messed up my Mumsnet time!

I’m so sorry you’re still getting the rotten side effects Jabtastic and wish we could help reduce them for you. Can totally understand the worry about it impacting Christmas. We’ve a few weeks before then though so maybe we can come up with a plan to try and find a way to help you kick them? Which is the one that’s worst atm? Maybe someone on here has found a helpful remedy 🌸

Lol I’ve done this too with a different coat, with the poppers and feeling like a Carry On! 😂

Ah that’s great it’s a bit looser though, that’s progress! At least the impending freeze will help motivate us to keep going eh? Also think that if it’s looser I can then fit another layer underneath it which is also appealing! ❄️

Pumpkinforever · 02/12/2024 23:34

@KeepCalmandGiveItaGo thats great on the winter coat. I will try mine tomorrow and report on zipper progress 😂

Ralala · 03/12/2024 02:19

Oh wow. I jabbed on Saturday with my 5mg and I said earlier how I was feeling awful on it. Well tonight has been horrendous. I vomited up all my dinner which I really forced down and now I’m having diarrhoea again. I have a pain in the upper tummy which I where I normally get it if it’s trapped wind but of course being on Mounjaro with vomiting and diarrhoea I need to be alert to pancreatitis. The pain was constant but after some more vomit (how lovely) it’s calmed down slightly and is easing off . My poor husband hasn’t said to me I should stop but I had to say if I don’t drastically improve this week then it has to be the end of the road for me with this sadly

I’d agree. I did my first 5mg last night. Apart from insomnia so far, so good.

Interesting! I think it’s also worth recording if you take after eating/before eating etc. Everyone is different so it’s a good idea to see what works for your body.

I’ve got a lovely navy unworn Zara Blazer that is my barometer. I’m going to see how it fits next weekend 🤞In the meantime, my dog walking coat feels pleasingly looser.

Morning all!

what’s on everyone’s menu today?

im on my last week of my first 2.5mg pen and can definitely tell that suppression is wearing off, but that has also made it sink in that there will one day be life after MJ so I really need to start using a bit of will power and lifestyle changes rather than relying on this alone.

my biggest downfall is planning - if I haven’t planned/got stuff in then I pick on rubbish which obviously is what led me here in the first place so I would be grateful for some inspiration from others!

fubard · 03/12/2024 07:14

W3 D5 another 2lb lost since Friday despite going out on Saturday with friends and drinking. Managed to curb the eating however. 2 more lbs and I’ll hit the stone!

RayonSunrise · 03/12/2024 07:31

Morning all! I'm back after 10 days abroad, during which time I was quite restricted in terms of exercise I could do but kept on jabbing & eating as healthily as I could.

Just started W4 today and I am 4.5kg down from where I started (that's nearly 10lbs to imperial fans). Very pleased! My clothes are looser and my feet have stopped aching, which had really started to alarm me.

I need a new pen for next week. I used Lloyds first time round, and will probably stick with them for this next pen up for simplicity - I'm such a noob, do I just order the next one and they send it out or will they want progress reports/screening info again?
