Joining this thread! I'm W1 D4. No side effects so far, apart from feeling very thirsty, but I am just craving water and squash which makes a change from obsessively thinking about fizzy drinks, Diet Coke in particular.

It is a revelation, today I had soup for lunch then fancied a packet of crisps so opened one and ate half the packet and then didn't want anymore so threw it away! I don't think I've ever not finished something!

Feeling really good so far!

Hi everyone! 👋 sorry I’ve been awol this last week and completely missed the last thread filling up(!) but have found you all here. Whoa we’re on page 9 already, I’ve got more reading through them to catch up properly. Lovely to join you all again now we’ve finished our starter month of November, Christmas is looming!

Thanks Mounjaropen for the new thread! 💖👍😊

Yay! I was a bit concerned you’d gone awol. Nice to have you back. How’s it going for you?

First 3.75 dose today.
No weightloss this week but I have been out drinking and Christmas market gluweining this weekend.

I am a bit disappointed but still an overall good weightloss for a month in.

No more side effects except for tiredness & cold but even that's not as bad.

Christmas market this weekend was tough- really struggled to eat anything as I felt almost repulsed by the idea of anything sweet. Couldn't face any treats and even a Coke Zero was far too sweet.

phyllidafosset · 02/12/2024 14:55

@N27 I am glad it isn’t just me whose weight fluctuates so much in the week! But as long as it is actually down on official weigh in day, for me all’s good 😊.

I think I am going to stick to 2.5 for the next batch - mainly because I have some away trips and then Christmas so I have no space for potentially problematic reactions as my body adjusts!!! I do hope I continue with the suppression though, because I will be upset with myself if I undo all of the good work I (or my jabs) have done up to now!

Pumpkinforever · 02/12/2024 15:04

That’s why I am sticking with 2.5 @phyllidafosset but my suppression is still very good and I am not snacking

Feeling a bit frustrated. I have had amazing loss in week 1 and 2 days into week 2 but I’ve not lost anything since last Tuesday despite eating under 1200 calories every day. Bit early for a plateau. I know it’s early days but still.

I also did decide to tell dh i was upset by his food choice last night and how it felt like he’s sabotaged my efforts. I know it’s thoughtless rather than malicious and he’s very apologetic. Onwards and hoping for 2lbs off this week (I don’t want to be unrealistic). But there’s no meals out planned etc so should be easier than last week.

@TeenLifeMum I totally get that fear of no weight loss. It is the idea it may stop working. I know that me daily weight in isn’t helpful because things go down, and then up again. I am NOT an expert but I do believe those fluctuations are normal and in the long run, you will be heading in the right direction, so a moment of less rapid loss is probably just part of the overall process.

So great you had a chat with your DH. It is bloody hard work and it sounds like he is supportive, and will maybe be more consciously so now he is aware his food choices may need to shift 😊

I keep telling my DH that - he started this process before me but he managed a dinner of chocolate biscuits the other day (because he wasn’t hungry for a main meal!?!!!).

phyllidafosset · 02/12/2024 15:10

@Pumpkinforever me too - at least for Monday-Thursday. Less suppression the other days, but I think mainly because it is super strong for those 4 days. I just need to remember that I still need liquid!?!!!

lovealongbath · 02/12/2024 17:37

I am now thinking about buying next pen, I used med express for my first pen but haven’t been successful in anyone new buying with my code so I don’t have any discount. Does anyone have a discount code for repeat user or seen any deals?

Ralala · 02/12/2024 17:41

Med express price match. If you google or go onto Reddit (which is where I found it) a list of other online pharmacies and send the link to med express they match the price and give you a discount of the price match. So I managed to get almost £50 back from them for my 5mg pen

Even although it’s over 14 days since I bought my first pen?

I also weigh daily, because it fluctuates and I don't want to be sad because the scales don't show a loss on the one day I weigh that week. I only record the downwards movements though.

This is exactly the same as me

BleachedJumper · 02/12/2024 19:17

I’m also a regular weigher, not quite every day as I can’t always summon up the energy to take my kit off first thing in the morning! But usually two/three times a week.

I have just done the bonus dose with an insulin syringe. I got 0.7ml (2.9mg). I have a new 5mg pen arriving this week.

I'm pretty much the same. Can be up and down all the time.
Weighing daily when I was off the injections kept me on track too, would adjust my portions if I was up a few days in a row.

Cantbesure · 02/12/2024 20:26

Just finishing my second week. I've lost just over 3kg in 2 weeks and gone from a BMI of just over 30 to 29. I'm very short.

My appetite suppressant has been strong. I've struggled to eat more than a few picky bits most days. I do worry about the impact this could be having and want to start eating more calories and protein. Not sure whether to stick at 2.5mg or at least buy the 5 and then decide whether or not to take the full dose.

No other side effects. I still want booze and haven't overly suffered. I have had a cold the whole time but that was brewing before I took MJ. The GP gave me antibiotics today for a chest infection. I'm going to leave my injection at least until tomorrow as I don't fancy doing it whilst I feel so poorly.

Kialla · 02/12/2024 20:55

Oh wow, I missed thread 1 filling up and then missed thread 2 completely!

I've had a quick scan through, looks like lots of fab results 👏

I'm on Week 5, Day 4. I've lost 10.4kg which is just completely mind boggling.

I'm on 5mg and still not really had any significant side effects. It's been life-changing to cut out the food noise completely.

I wondered if anyone plans to do another month of 5mg or if anyone has already decided to move up to 7.5mg? I am due to take my 3rd dose on Wednesday. As I got closer to the 4th dose of 2.5mg, I definitely felt the effects wear off more quickly.

5mg has been fab, would be happy to stay on it for long but a bit concerned that it won't continue to work so well. On the other hand, I'd rather not risk any new side effects over Christmas. Have no idea what to do 🤷‍♀️

1.5 stones is amazing in 5 weeks! Congratulations!

Get well soon! Don’t forget to check the contra indications for MJ if you are on other meds.

That is a fab amount of weight to have shed in a month. You must be chuffed.
