Excitingly I had a 3lb loss this week - first time for quite a few weeks I've had 3 off at once. This brings me to 3 stone off exactly since August, which I feel very pleased about. I don't look dramatically different yet, but there's still a long way to go! Slender friends are traumatised by putting on a few pounds, which I've always been a bit dismissive about (because, hey what are they complaining about when I'm several stones overweight!), but when I'm not being self pitying, I know that a few pounds make a much bigger difference on a small frame. So I'm guessing that the smaller we get the more evident the losses will be, even if they're more painfully won.

My aspirational jacket of joy (which, it transpires, is quite a tatty looking motheaten jacket as it's been hanging unworn and unloved for many years) is still many inches from doing up! But the gap has narrowed a little 😀

@weaseleyes I do feel amazing and probably buying way too many clothes at the moment 🙈 But I'm just enjoying it so much. I was so unwell and crappy in the summer before I started mounjaro, I didn't think where I'm at now was even possible for me. For the first time in ages I feel healthy and positive about my life. 😍

That is so amazing to read, and feels like what we're all aiming for. I'm so happy for you!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2024 09:56

@WorriedRelative glad having a lovely holiday - and if any gain sure you will get it off once home

@Willowy1982 well done. So weird how weight is diff for people. I was similar size. Was 18 but prob Was 20 and stretched clothes but didn't ever buy a 20 iyswim and lost over 3s yet I'm nowhere near a 10/12

@FlappingMadly certainly wasn't a nice few days - I'm going to have porridge again. As that was fine all day yesterday

I blame the chicken via @Changinghabits1973 😛😛 but who knows

Not sure I have any crackers but I thought plain toast would have been ok last night but seems not - unless was the small bit of chicken I ate

Hope your mum is ok @FlappingMadly and you are braving to 10?

Thanks @weaseleyes - how many 5's do you have ? Why do you keep ordering and not have a break for a month and save money

And well done for 3lb loss. Impressive and done with out any 🤮💩😂😂😂

NippyCrab · 29/11/2024 09:59

Morning all, weigh day for me today,

SW: 14st 6.5lbs
CW: 12st 2lbs
2lbs loss this week, the end is near and thank f**k because I need my dopamine back. I'm fed up feeling low and tired with even the slightest increase in dose. I need to work out how much I've got left in my current 5mg pen. One in the fridge and I'll join the maintenance on Oushk and start reducing to a level where I can function but also still have control.

Well done on all the losses, I'm so tired I am struggling to type so will catch up hopefully later. Xx

@poppym12 I'm sure that time of illness and steroids must be having an impact, but it sounds so annoying. I did read an article about stalls which said they can last 8-12 weeks! This would feel like an eternity when you're paying for MJ, but I suppose the message is that sometimes you have to hang on a really long time when you're in one and it doesn't mean nothing is working. Stress really doesn't help.

@Willowy1982 - woohoo! You're a dream BMI, that's a fabulous achievement! You must be feeling superpowered!

@FlappingMadly being an under 5mg wimp, I've gone beyond 30 days as there's no way I'm chucking away anything so expensive. I work on the assumption there's always a margin of error with these things, keep it in the fridge and check it's still looking clear. Other people's sensible v. tight ratio will be different, so I wouldn't advise, but I've been good. The 5mg pens are stacking up, so if I have to go above 5mg at some point (😱) I may crack through them a bit faster.

@Blondeshavemorefun hooray for 3lb and boo to sickness! I'm sure MJ probably doesn't do our gastric systems any favours when it's trying to recover from bugs, so maybe it'll just drag things out a bit.

@weweaseleyes don't stock up too much, you might want to increase your dose and it would be more economical to buy a higher dose pen than use a five for a higher than five dose.

Why are you burying them faster than you need them? I have ordered ahead a bit but with oushk you pick a future delivery date and can amend your order up to a week before if you decide you need a different dose. So I only ever have one in use and the next one in the fridge.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2024 10:11

That's weird about ousk but guess if works for you - I just order even I want one

I would forget to change it to go up or in the case of med express they queried why I stayed at 10

Well done my little Crustian @NippyCrab Fab loss

weaseleyes · 29/11/2024 10:13

I haven't got a massive stack, honest - I've got a couple of doses left in this pen and then two in the fridge. I think when I started I felt harassed into ordering another before I really needed to, not realising how quickly they'd come even when you change provider. Since then I've stuck to buying one a month so that I can even out the expenditure and not end up MJ-less if the whole country goes on a MJ binge on Jan 1st, but I've stretched them out a bit through under-dosing. Given I've been a low dose wimp up till now, I'm really hoping I can stay on a lower dose, but if I have to take bigger doses out of a 5mg pen for a bit I'll feel ok as I've economised in the past couple of months by being able to spread them out somewhat. I'm also trying to avoid too long a gap in ordering so my provider will think I'm a good customer - hopefully they'll reward me by letting me buy intermittently in maintenance! (I have no evidence that they will think anything of the sort or even that it's relevant, but I like a mental plan even if it's complete fantasy.)

weaseleyes · 29/11/2024 10:14

And yes - well done @NippyCrab ! New hair and 2lbs down in the face of adversity!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2024 10:15

Willowy1982 · 29/11/2024 10:31

@Blondeshavemorefun Oh I know what you mean. Tbh people would never believe me when I said I was wearing a size 18. I guess I carried weight...well?! 😬 It was spread out all over my body so I I guess I always looked 'even'. If that makes sense. I also know by lifting weights I've changed my composition too. We are all different and unique and should never compare ourselves for this reason. 😍

Well done my little Crustian @NippyCrab Fab loss

Tbh I generally just order around the time of my fourth jab as they come quickly but Oushk have had a couple of discount offers so I ordered earlier with delayed delivery. I wouldn't order before I needed to otherwise. I would rather the money was in the bank!

20% off for black Friday so I have ordered for early January delivery. If I need to change it I can.

My previous provider it was a bit more guess work when it would arrive rather than picking a delivery day.

weaseleyes · 29/11/2024 12:47

Congrats @Blondeshavemorefun! Fantastic to move zones like that!

Azuresky68 · 29/11/2024 13:31

Wow...some great losses and exciting news all round to @Blondeshavemorefun @weaseleyes @NippyCrab ...sorry if I missed anyone. Get well soon to the poorly ones 💩🤮 too. @poppym12 I hope you have a loss soon 🤞

Azuresky68 · 29/11/2024 13:32

@owlyboo I hope you are well enough to enjoy your weekend away 😊

FlappingMadly · 29/11/2024 13:38

Stupid question. If I want to go up to 8 with a 7.5 pen it's plus 4 on this needle?

FlappingMadly · 29/11/2024 13:39

Pic this time!

MabelSpan · 29/11/2024 13:40

@Willowy1982 Well done! You have done brilliantly😊

@owlyboo Glad you are finally starting to feel a bit better😊

@FlappingMadly As I only use 4.25mg my pens have gone over 30 days. I use them providing the liquid is still clear, which it always has been, I also keep them in the fridge. Not recommending anyone else does this, but I havent experienced any adverse side effects. Its too expensive for me to discard it!😊

@Blondeshavemorefun Well done! 3lbs and seeing 13st! A great day for you! Hope you are starting to feel better now.😊

@weaseleyes 3lb loss and a nice 3 stone loss, thats so incredible. A narrowing gap is a good gap! Sure it wont be long before your jacket fits perfectly! I have also got 2 pens in the fridge😊

@NippyCrab Well done on your 2lb loss! Hope you feel better soon😊

Yes😊

Azuresky68 · 29/11/2024 13:53

@Willowy1982 huge congratulations on getting to maintenance! I managed to delete a long post and can't retype it all again. How was your maintenance consultation with Ousch? Just to say I am 9 stone 9 pounds now and my goal is 9 stone so I guess I should book my maintenance consultation 🤔 Currently on 10 mg with another 10 mg pen on order. My average weight loss has been 1.3 pounds a week so I could reach my target in 7 weeks 🤞

Azuresky68 · 29/11/2024 13:58

@Blondeshavemorefun thanks for the link to calculator. I don't know how it works..do we have to eat less than the result to lose weight? I did 3 calculations..1. Sedentary 2. Slightly active 3. More active..it depends on the day for me@ Today I have had 2 teeth out so planning to be sedentary! I don't have many calories for my age, weight and height 😱

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2024 14:14

@FlappingMadly yes ,5 extra to make 8 is 4 clicks or .04 out of a 7.5

@Azuresky68 amazing so close to goal

@MabelSpan I seem to be ok but wary of eating but can seem to keep porridge done so a bonus

I think they say to eat 500 less but that would mean 600c a day for you so can't be right

MabelSpan · 29/11/2024 14:23

@Blondeshavemorefun I read about a hospital asking people to stay away due to sickness and diarrhoea bug, so its clearly doing the rounds! I missed your BMI nsv! Thats a huge drop! Of course you will hit the green, no doubts about that!😊

@Azuresky68 They do say to subtract 500 from your TDEE for a pound a week loss, but take that with a pinch of salt as so much with regards to calories has been proven to be inaccurate over recent years. Whatever you have been doing up to is clearly working for you so keep on doing what your doing! Personally whilst I record cals daily I work out the weekly average as I go, so I have higher days when I feel I need them and less when the supression is high.😊

20bloodypounds · 29/11/2024 14:46

@willowy1982 it was lovely to read that you feel healthy and positive. I guess that's the aim for many of us.

@WorriedRelative your holiday sounds similar to mine - I even had a look around at the group I'm on holiday with in case I could spot you, but they all had their breakfast plates loaded up high. Not a hint of appetite suppression there 😁

Hope the sickly babes feel better soon.

owlyboo · 29/11/2024 14:49

@Blondeshavemorefun well done! Hoping I get a similar poorly loss tomorrow! Felt WAY more human today thank goodness!! Also great NSV!

Thanks all for the get well soon wishes! @Azuresky68 I'm feeling MUCH better today, leave tomorrow morning so 🤞🤞

Well done @weaseleyes !! Fab loss!

Well done @NippyCrab !! The end is indeed in sight now!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/11/2024 16:02

Fingers crossed @owlyboo

Tho I would have preferred 3lb loss and no 🤮💩😂😂😂
