Happy Monday all. Hopefully we get a less poorly week! 🤞

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 08:17

God I hope so

After yesterdays visit to ex loo at 3pm ish I've been fine since

Had some chicken and bread roll last night

NippyCrab · 02/12/2024 09:45

Morning from a rainy Ayrshire. It's to clear and i can go out soon.

My suppression on 50 clicks of 5mg is high yesterday and today. I injected Friday evening. I feel I'm wishing the weeks away for the scales moving down so I can get back to normal dopamine levels.

@Blondeshavemorefun how's your tummy and bowels today? Xx
@Changinghabits1973 how are you feeling in yourself today? Xx

@poppym12 I don't know what to suggest? It's so disheartening I know, when I was 4 weeks with no loss I was due to give in. I upped my water and protein, fibre and my dose and started losing again. With our conditions the body is wired wrong and I do think it's harder to lose weight, hugs 🫂 🤗 xx

I've ordered a Christmas dress from the Monsoon sale, I did contemplate a jumpsuit but they are always too long, I'm hoping the dress will be nice on (and fit)

Have a good Monday all 😚

@NippyCrab I am on testosterone as part of my HRT, fantastic for libido but bloody expensive, unless your a man of course, then its a different story!

@Fuffedoff You look fantastic! Well done!

@Blondeshavemorefun Glad you are finally getting better.

MargoLivebetter · 02/12/2024 11:04

I'm so sorry I just can't keep up with the thread at the moment. Work is overwhelming at this time of year and we've had a family health crisis too.

I shall be back properly at some point, but really just here to log my 1/2lb loss this week. It was 1 1/2lb last week, so I'm still on track.

Well done to everyone losing or not, but sticking with it for heading into the 4th month now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 11:14

Well done @MabelSpan and @MargoLivebetter on your loss's

poppym12 · 02/12/2024 11:55

Thanks @NippyCrab. I keep hearing about these magical wooshes but I never seem to have one. I measured myself this morning though and although the weight isn't really moving, I have lost another 3.2" in total sometimes last measured just under 2 weeks ago. So that's a positive I suppose. and I think I'm a bit constipated at the moment so just off to chug a Movicol.

Changinghabits1973 · 02/12/2024 13:34

Afternoon all - happy Monday !

Well, i know i have missed a few pages of this thread but wanted to check in whilst have got 5 minutes just to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that wished me well yesterday after posting my downer of a post - i apologise but i honestly needed the motivation and support from you guys as well as my bestie and it was honestly so appreciated for all the kind words received... I don't like necessarily asking for support but you guys on here are all the best and felt like you could honestly relate to the exhausting wobble i was having, mentally and physically;
Whilst i haven't been back for a swim, i managed a walk yesterday late afternoon and since then i do feel like i am getting the positivity back slowly but surely; today i am starting wrapping for xmas and writing cards as i want some distraction this afternoon as have got a really busy work week for the rest of the week; i have been extremely mindful of what i ate after i posted yesterday and have dinner sorted already for tonight and feel back on the path in some respects;
So this post is just again to say a huge thank you - thanks for kindness, thanks for understanding, thanks for motivation and thanks for being on this journey with me - sorry for the wobble, sorry for feeling so flipping emotional and am due for the 10mg delivery on Wednesday so am going to change my day to jab then but possibly not weigh this week; i need to keep the mental attitude going and if i weigh and its awful then i don't want to really know ... but will see...

@NippyCrab thanks so much ... thanks for checking in this morning sweet twinny -
Lots of love to all of you xx

AuntieDote · 02/12/2024 13:38

Hi everyone - I've missed lots once again. Sorry for being a bit awol, I try to let it consume less of my time/ thoughts these days. I lost 2.5 lbs last week, so 2 stone 9 lbs overall. I also bought a size 14 dress for my works Christmas meal out this week, I wanted the 16 but they didn't have any left - thought I'd try the 14 but wasn't expecting it to fit. It's snug, but actually looks really good on so I'm very happy about that. It was £21 in the New Look sale too - I literally raced in there with 5 minutes to spare before I had to leave to collect DD, grabbed the dress and bought it on the off chance - usually when I have all day to look round I don't find anything!

On the negative side, I'm back to sulfur burps, dodgy poos and last night throwing up. No idea why, nothing has changed I'm still on 7.5 and my eating has been pretty consistent. I did have a meal out on Saturday evening and went for the turkey dinner - it was fine and I ate just under half of what was on the plate I'd say, but maybe it was a bit rich. I'm feeling pretty miserable today, and annoyed because I have so much to do before I travel down south for work meeting and then Christmas do on Wednesday, but haven't managed much beyond replying to a few emails and lying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself today.

Timetofindme · 02/12/2024 14:00

@poppym12 not sure what your water intake is like, but I've made myself drink a minimum of 4 pints of water a day for the last week and a bit (used to do it easily but having to focus on it now - weird!) and found that has made a big difference for my constipation so worth giving it a go if you're not already

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 14:00

@AuntieDote maybe you have what I had minus the burps

A bug

But a bloody nasty one !!

But yah did a loss. Well done

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 14:01

Oh and the dress in a 14. Wow. Well done

When I get the sulphur burps, I've been taking Alka-Seltzer which has kept it at bay and no stinky burps for a while.

Fuffedoff · 02/12/2024 14:07

Hello!

I literally haven't stopped at work all day.

It's weird because my last job was very physical, hands on, intense...this job (my new one) is a lot of meetings, working from home, writing reports etc.

I'm a nurse and I've gone from clinical to non -clinical and it's honestly been the best thing for me.

Previously I could only manage to do 16 hours a week (very acute ward) and now I do 30 hours and have been coping well.

My mental health is miles better.

Although I'm struggling with sleep at the moment.

I was awake all night with bad reflux and ended up being sick this morning. It's definitely the reflux that's making me sick as I can tell from the contents (TMI sorry!).

I don't know why I'm letting myself suffer with it, because I have some medication at home. However I'm working from my mum's today and I totally forgot as was rushing out this morning.

So frustrating!

poppym12 · 02/12/2024 14:31

Thank you @Timetofindme . I drink at least 2 litres of water per day plus a couple of large mugs of decaf coffee. I think I definitely need to increase fibre somehow though.

Timetofindme · 02/12/2024 15:06

@poppym12 even with all the fruit and veggies i eat, it didn't seem to be enough so I've also started taking the odd psyllium husk capsule when things aren't as they should be. Also read quite a few people use chia. I opted for psyllium as chia used to cause me real issues (I have IBS).

1clavdivs · 02/12/2024 15:58

poppym12 · 01/12/2024 22:09

I think I'm just feeling disillusioned with it all. It started off so well and I could feel the difference but now I'm just not sure if it's worth the expense. I've just placed an order for another 7.5 pen but unless I see the scales moving this month, I think that will be me done. I'm always in a calorie deficit but the scales aren't moving.

I'm in a 3 week plateau too, also on 7.5mg. I run three times a week and have added weight training, have increased protein and tried to keep water intake up. I'm disheartened too.

I am not ready to go up a dose as I have good suppression and am struggling to have all the calories I'm supposed to have. In fact I'm now thinking that might be the problem as I can easily have between 600-1000 a day when I should have between 1300-1700. Going to try and tackle that next but I get what you're saying about paying out for little return.

NippyCrab · 02/12/2024 17:49

@1clavdivs i had a 4 week one and it was the most despondent I've felt on the journey. I upped my water and protein and checked i was eating enough calories. It's very hard with the stronger suppression isn't it, i also needed to up my fibre so chose prunes over meds although I did have to pop a few Dulcolax. I don't exercise as much as you, I walk approx 4 miles a day, not always brisk so maybe your body is holding onto weight because of your calorie intake? I'm not an expert tbh just trying some suggestions. Have you taken regular measurements too? @poppym12 hasn't lost weight but dropped inches in that period xx

Good evening, everyone. An update on my maintenance consultation with Hira at Ouschk. It was a good 15 minutes, and I have decided to stay on 10 mg until mid-January, then reduce down to 7.5mg. By then I am hoping that I am at target. I have used the OuschkFriday code to get 20% off my January order. It finishes today at midnight. 10 mg is giving me such high suppression. My next jab is Wednesday, but I am still struggling to eat some days. It seems like MJ makes my brain work like people who don't have a weight problem. If they overeat one day, then the next day, they eat less to compensate, if that makes sense? All I have eaten today is a homemade protein pancake with yoghurt and raspberries and 300 mls of skimmed milk in my coffee and tea. I just can't eat anything else. Side effects are slight nausea and just started with burps! As always, good luck to all, and thanks for being on the thread. I am also on the slow losers thread, which is quiet compared to here but also a lovely supportive thread too. I will post my update there too.

poppym12 · 02/12/2024 18:28

Sounds familiar @1clavdivs - but I haven't started weight training. That could well be causing it to appear that you have a stall but it's just inflammation of muscles and water retention. I don't fully understand any of the scientific stuff but I'm glad I've been measuring myself throughout as although the weight is more or less static at the moment, something must be happening as another inch off the hips plus an inch off the waist in less than 2 weeks has got to be a positive for me.

poppym12 · 02/12/2024 18:30

I already take a couple of psyllium husk capsules each day @Timetofindme. Mind you, I was away on Saturday night so didn't take any. I wonder if missing just one day could cause the back up 🤔

owlyboo · 02/12/2024 20:04

My daughter had an inset day today so went to a Christmas market with her. Lovely to spend a day one to one as a single mum it's not something I often get to do... actually don't think I've done it since I split with their dad nearly two years ago.

We took lots of pictures and my daughter took this one of me in front of the wings. It's something I would have absolutely swerved before just taking pictures of her. So nice having some confidence back. I had definitely completely lost myself for a good few years.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 20:04

@Fuffedoff I'm on omeprazole due to naproxen for my ankle

So don't get reflux as always have it daily

Amazing you have doubled your hours

@1clavdivs you sometimes have 600. Wow. That's so little

Guessing if you don't eat much then the body may not lose as thinks being staved

@Azuresky68 sounds positive consult and a plan for maintenance

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/12/2024 20:09

I'm impressed a few of you are near kr at goal

I'm halfway and still need to lose ideally another 2.5s which seems so far in the future

A friend of mine is a very very large lady and she has Been doing sw for the last x number of years. She lost think 7st but sounds awful me saying this but I don't really see the diff on her

She still has maybe another 6/7 to go so also halfway

I am very proud of her for doing so well but I think if I can't Really tell she lost 7s how do I expect people to see I've lost 3.5

Does they make me sound awful. I don't mean it too as I am so proud of her plodding along losing weight

I def feel much better today. Tho still tired. So I can say I'm glad it was a bug and not reaction to mj 10 after a month. I was a little worried lol

Not sure what to eat still as keeping it plain
