@Fizzleawayy You look fantastic-love your dress!

HansHolbein · 13/12/2024 20:48

@Fizzleawayy Tbh Monday and Tuesday on 7.5mg kicked my arse. I was very very tired. Felt better on Wednesday. Hopefully it was just this week 😳 You look great in the green dress!

@TheChosenTwo I hope it does for you too. I had a period all by myself last month. I couldn’t believe it. The first time in about 10 years!

@recklessgran Fab! Well done. Happy for you. Mmm mince pies 😋

@lapuf I have no idea if it helps but I do drink at least 2L a day. I have good losses every week but don’t know if it’s related.

@NearlyNewHip Have a wonderful time tonight!

@igivein Annoying for sure. It will come off again. Don’t worry too much.. easier said than done of course.

@AnneinEdinburgh Glad you’ve had a nice turd!!!

@Bluenose1966 You’re doing great 🎉

Nothing really to report from me. It’s my first week on 7.5 and it did kick my arse for the first couple of days. I still don’t care about food. It’s totally boring to me. We have a big lunch at my parent’s house on Sunday so I am dreading that a bit. I just can’t eat as much anymore 🤷‍♀️

Fizzleawayy · 13/12/2024 20:16

Had my Xmas lunch today, it was only 2 courses and not 3 like I thought.

Ate the veg/meat and left the potatoes and only ate half my pudding which was small anyway. I did have 2 single gins and diet tonic and I feel a bit sick now. Not sure if it’s the gin or the food.

Here is what I wore. I feel better than I did at the start of this journey but still a long way to go.

Wish the hip dip would disappear.

Hubba hubba! You look so stylish

You look amazing and I’m sure you must have really great too. Glad you had a good time.
I also went to my work’s Christmas dinner, there was lots of food but I just focused on eating the protein and less carbs. Also , because I knew I was going out, I only had some Greek yoghurt at lunch time which filled me up till the dinner time and was still fairly within my calorie limit.
@Pegsmum, I’m starting my second 5mg pen tomorrow. I’m still having suppression and losing weight so no point going up in dose yet. I’m thinking I may order 7.5 for my 4th pen but not sure yet.

Wow, you look great, love the dress, that’s my fave colour.

Beautiful @Fizzleawayy you look amazing! 🤩

Iwouldratherbesinging · 13/12/2024 22:52

@Fizzleawayy you look stunning, that’s such a beautiful colour.

MissSmith80 · 14/12/2024 06:52

Wow! @Fizzleawayy you look amazing. Hope you had a great time.

I lost 1lb last week (my weigh days are Tuesday), will go for 5mg next week (I've been doing 3.75) and then maybe back down to 3.75 for Christmas week because I don't want to feel ropey. Think I'll also bring the dose to Sunday/Monday so I'm not in the day after 'dip' I get - not because of the food but I want to enjoy the day and not feel too tired/yuk.

Out for dinner last night, I got some comments about having lost some weight but mainly just how great I am looking - they said that I'm looking happy, fresh and stylish - all very nice words to hear and and they are right about the happy and fresh bit - I feel so much more energetic and care about myself more, confidence and feeling worth it really are powerful feelings

WafflingDreamer · 14/12/2024 07:14

I weigh every day although my weigh in is officially Tuesday clearly I'm having a whoosh this week, hopefully I don't gain much back before Tuesday and I'll have hit my 2st before Christmas goal!!

Losingthetimber · 14/12/2024 07:16

Well official weigh day for me, three pounds lost this week which was my first week on 7,5mg, and just taken the second dose, so now 25 lbs down, in nine weeks, still chasing the 2 stone mark, although I guess I’ve learned the scales follow really and it’s not linear.

im now 13.2 from 14.13 start point. 10.7 is the goal. Am five foot 7. My doctor said it starts coming off faster when you get to the higher doses, so it will be interesting to see if that’s the case and how this month plays out.

just before I started I was 15 stone 7, and lost 8lbs on my own, so it seems the difference in my appearance is now quite obvious, as everyone comments, positively I will add.

I did my thigh again this week as that was successful last week, no side effects on the higher dose, it could have been co incidence, who knows. So fingers crossed for this week.☺️

WafflingDreamer · 14/12/2024 07:21

Well done @Losingthetimber that's a brilliant loss

Bluenose1966 · 14/12/2024 07:29

You look stunning in that dress @Fizzleawayy . I am out with an old very slim school friend on Monday who hasn't seen me since my weight loss so looking forward to not feeling a fat Frau in her company. Though the lovely size 14 chrismas dress I bought is a little big on me now.

rockingbird · 14/12/2024 07:30

Morning all, weigh in day for me and jab day. I've noticed suppression is wearing off quicker on 2.5mg presumably because my body has adapted now (this weeks jab will be week 8) I'm tempted to go up to 5mg - is that crazy? Anyone done this? I have a 5mg pen ready and waiting..!

Losingthetimber · 14/12/2024 07:38

Thanks and to you @WafflingDreamer , yours is awesome. I Love a whoosh week, it is always a feel good when you see the scales move.

when my husband goes to play golf this morning, I’m going to try a few of my favourite old clothes on, see how far I am away, seeing the difference is always quite motivational,

im sitting here with my morning coffee, feet up. just the lowside lights on and pondering it all. I’m two stone nine pounds from target, and 1 stone 11 from a healthy bmi, which is a whole different animal of 5 stone, when I first started this weight loss journey,

and I see my doctor again this week, she’s already reduced my bp meds once, last month, and I think from my own readings it’s falling a little low, so she may reduce again, although I’m relatively tall, I have a very narrow frame, and it’s quite clear I simply cannot carry 5 stone extra weight, without impacting my health, and she thinks I am insulin resistant,

so the appearance thing is a lovely bonus, really for me this was about my health, as it was getting scary how high my bp was and how much I was struggling.

Carridoesntlivehereanymore · 14/12/2024 07:41

@rockingbird I did 8 weeks of 2.5mg but felt the suppression was wearing off the last week or two. I went up to 3.75mg on Monday and am feeling it's better so far, early days yet. I didn't go straight up to 5mg as I'm thinking stay low and go slow.

rockingbird · 14/12/2024 07:43

Ooh good call @Carridoesntlivehereanymore how many clicks is that 🙈

5mg might be a big step up all in one go @rockingbird , why don’t you try 3.75mg? It worked well for me, with the added bonus that you get 5 doses out of the pen without needing to faff with insulin needles or ‘hard twists’.
I’m on my second 5mg pen now, and still haven’t actually made it to 5mg yet …

igivein · 14/12/2024 07:51

Cross posted with @Carridoesntlivehereanymore , but it’s 45 clicks @rockingbird

Losingthetimber · 14/12/2024 07:53

@rockingbird , I did, I did the fifth week bonus, moved to 5, I felt crap, I won’t lie, for about 4days, manageable but felt nauseas. I did the second week on it, it was similar but way less, and then I was fine. Now on 7,5 and no side effects so far touch wood.

rockingbird · 14/12/2024 08:01

I initially struggled in the beginning on 2.5mg so the lower dosage sounds sensible! So close to Christmas I'm a little apprehensive but also keen to push on up a little. Christmas lunch coming up next week which could prove tricky but hey ho needs must!

EVK · 14/12/2024 08:24

letshavetea · 13/12/2024 07:12

@recklessgran that’s a great loss! Fingers crossed for you with side effects. I think the prep you’re making will hopefully help.
@EVK - did you like Jools Holland - saw him last year and was a bit underwhelmed!

It was good fun - took my mum and dad for their birthdays - both December babies like me - my sister came too - so we had a good time because they both loved it. Marc Almond and other guests Ruby Turner were good too - so although the Big band wouldn’t be my usual cup of tea - I did enjoy - mind you - I had zero expectations so that always helps!

WafflingDreamer · 14/12/2024 09:06

I tried on a pair of size 22 jeans today, I've been wearing size 22 since the start of my journey but stretchy trousers and dresses not jeans. I got them on! And I can kind of breathe, not sure if they are quite comfortable enough to wear all day around my stomach but I'm in them!!

Well done, it’s such a lovely feeling isn’t it, I know we all see the scales move, but the nsv’s also make a huge difference, a sort of validation that we are shrinking,

soon enough they will be loose on you, and it will be a size 20 next, and so on,💫
