I will answer this as if you genuinely don’t understand why but it’s Because there was no need to over analyse how many calories she’s eating etc.

She said ‘the trouble with calling people out is the thread stops being a safe and supportive place’ which indicated she wasn’t entirely happy with your first reply.

She told you in the same message she ate 1600-1800 calories a day and you then when on and replied ‘i don’t know how you do that level of exercise whilst under eating tk that extent.’

There was no need to make those kind of comments or over analyse what she’s eating/doing. It sounds like you are calling her a liar as She said she’s not under eating, she said she had rapid weight gain and she’s having a rapid weight loss.

Wow. I also thought this was a safe place to discuss how we lose weight. I didn’t see this type of attack coming. I thought thr poster had lost a huge amount of weight, she explains, eats healthy, enough calories, and exercises a huge amount. What she’s achieved is fabulous.

lets not attack each other, if something reads negative. Ask if that is what was meant, we are all on the same journey

Attack? I did no such thing. I explained nicely how you came across and why they had the reaction they did to your comments.

IQ Dr has added all my height and weights to my GPs online app and all the prescriptions that have been administered. I like the idea that the GP has all the information incase something happens and so they can monitor if things are going wrong

I can’t see anything about my height and weight on there. Just these letters but I’m happy for the GP to have a record. I just never thought to check.

Anyone who wants a more light hearted moment I shall share my comments to my PT over the last 6 weeks to get out of the more challenging tasks he sets

  1. I think i have bern sick in my mouth
  2. I can taste blood
  3. Oh I think i can smell sweat from my pits
  4. You should be jailed
I keep going back though 😂

My favourite is 'I can't believe I'm paying you to do this to me!!'

It's spenny lol mine is £160 a month but, I have to say without it I would still be sat on my arse and walking my dogs daily. We have gym equipment at home. But left to my own devices I would not commit at home at all. I need that person making me do it, and although I give him shit i actually enjoy it. I do a session a week with him then 2 sessions on my own from what he taught me each week. I only planned on having him for 12 weeks to build up on what I need to do so I can go solo. I asked him if I was the worst client he had and he paused to answer lol

If it’s working for you then worth every penny.

I haven’t started my gym journey yet since I started MJ… I really should think about going back as I do pay for it.

Maybe after Xmas 😀 I do hate the gym though 😂

@Fizzleawayy I pay £140 and have been doing one session a week since last December and it is honestly the best thing I spend money on and I can see myself going to her until she retires (in a very long time!!). I was 17 and a half stone when I started using her so to a pp who was worried about going to the gym please don't be! She does purely strength/weight work so no leaving in a super hot sweaty mess which I love, there's definitely lots of different styles of PT so it's about finding what works best for you Smile.

I may have to look into one near me. I had a friend go to one a few years ago who loved it as well. It may also make me love what I currently dislike! Anything that helps is worth it.

I’ve just used my husband’s toothbrush to brush my teeth. I can’t believe I just did that. I have a green one and he has a blue one. The nausea is back. Good god.

So my husband is at his works Xmas do tomorrow night.

Iv promised the kids a dominos for tea as a treat. I kind of regret that now as I don’t want to be tempted by even a small slice 😂😂😂

MUST NOT EAT THE PIZZA🍕🍕🍕

My husband is out tomorrow as well, so can't be bothered to cook proper meal for me and adult son. Debating a Domino's for him and just noticed some fish fingers in freezer from god knows when. Quite like thought of them with peas for me. Might see if I can palm them off on son as well😂
I am at a doo on Saturday night and looking forward to wearing my new red dress, only a cheapo one out of Peacocks as dont want to spend much while still losing weight.

@Mincepieinthesky I truly hope you won’t leave us, this thread has always been supportive and I hope that will continue.
Im sure we all feel the same
way about that. What has marked this group out from many others is its non judgmental nature. I for one really hope you will
feel supported enough to stay with us. 🩷

I've got loads left to lose, I started off at 19 stone, have lost 1 stone 3lbs and have PCOS too plus post menopausal and on HRT. I'll be on MJ for the long term. It was a bit depressing to read that NHS England is doing a very limited roll our for 3 years of MJ.

I really need to do something about the dreaded constipation through. Prunes, water and ducolax aren't shifting anything. I am also getting indigestion especially when lying down at night. I'm on 2nd 5mg jab. If I could just have a decent 💩I woudl be several stone lighter ;-)

I’m on the same constipation journey! Have been since week one 😤. What’s so frustrating is that what works for one person doesn’t work for another, I’ve been trying different things weekly, I was determined not to resort to laxatives as I’ve ‘abused’ them in the past but have had to on a couple of occasions, even then I took three dulcoease daily for two days and two dulcolax before going to bed and they took the full two days to work.
This week I’m trying 2 pysllium husk daily along with 2 magnesium citrate daily. I’m going to be running out of things to try soon, senna does nothing either!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 05/12/2024 22:29

@recklessgran how frustrating and bloody annoying for you! I had to ask for my medical records once, only 6 months worth but you’d have thought I’d requested state secrets with the fuss that was kicked up, they went onto the defensive wanting to know why. They wouldn’t give them to me electronically but then charged me for each page printed. I went in to pick them up and they’d printed everything from the day I was born (I’m 57!!)
I would try a different prescriber as was suggested earlier, at least you have back up which gives you time to research suppliers, good luck though.

lickycat · 05/12/2024 22:33

recklessgran · 05/12/2024 08:39

I think I'll be on MJ forever! I'm the slowest loser in the world for a start despite IF and very low calorie intake - not helped by my baby MJ doseage. My weight problem is exacerbated by three things, my under medicated underactive thyroid, my age and osteoarthritis which makes exercise [apart from swimming] quite painful. At the rate I'm going I'll be on it for a year to lose the 3 stone I want to shift. Even then at 12 stone I'll still be in the overweight category with a BMI of around 27. My dark sense of humour sees me here running the October 2024 starters thread as a complete billy no-mates! Nonetheless I'm thrilled to be here with you lot and so grateful I'm actually losing something at last after years of losing and gaining the same few pounds.

I’ll be here with you @recklessgran. I’m in almost the same situation as you, and still losing quite slowly. I’ve got similar starting and goal weight too! So I’ll probably still be on this thread with you in 2026 😂

EVK · 05/12/2024 22:35

@recklessgran I really hope you can get this sorted one way or another. You are entitled to your records and can share them with any health professionals you choose. Maybe speak to GP practice tomorrow and explain you would like to co time your treatment and need the support of GP to do so. But, as suggested above you could maybe go with another provider ? Very annoying for you and I can understand why you are feeling so upset - I’d be the same.

letshavetea · 06/12/2024 06:20

@recklessgran sorry to hear your having this with your GP. Totally unhelpful. I would contact another pharmacy in the first instance. Not wanting to upsell Oushk, but I’ve found them very responsive. Could you consider booking a £5 consultation with Hira their pharmacist and talk to her? She’s apparently taken MJ herself.
Then I would change GP.
You are quite right to think that they should be supportive but often they’re not!

recklessgran · 06/12/2024 06:44

Thanks all for your replies - I'm really grateful to hear your collective thoughts. I've asked MedEx if the records I can see are enough so if that's the case I'll just download those. If not I will do a SAR. I'd prefer to stay with MedEx if I can as so far I've been happy with them. This current issue isn't their fault at the end of the day. I'm really reluntant to change G.P's too as in every other respect they are brilliant and I have a great relationship with them normally particularly around the care of DD1 who has very complex special needs. For that reason alone I need to stay at this surgery as they're worth their weight in gold around ensuring the best care and treatment for her. I'm gobsmacked by my G.P's stance on MJ though and will call them today to try to find out why they seem to have such a problem with this.
Anyway on another note, today is my jab and weigh day. I'm staying on 2.5mgs which I'm taking as 30 clicks from a 5mg pen. I can't move up as I struggle with extreme side effects particularly in the first 48 hours after injecting. I still have suppression and lack of food noise though so I'm happy with that.
SW 15st 7lbs
CW 14st 11.5lbs
That's 2lbs off this week for me and a total of 9.5lbs loss in 7 weeks. That feels a bit pathetic but I'm happy to be moving in the right direction. I always knew it would be a struggle as I'm sure I'm being undermedicated with levo as my bloods are literally just inside the lowest "normal" parameter. Sigh.

hopeishere · 06/12/2024 07:04

I went out for dinner on Tuesday and could only pick at my food. I felt quite down as eating out is one of my favourite things to do.

letshavetea · 06/12/2024 07:18

@hopeishere - I understand this completely as I’m the same. I sometimes just have a starter. I choose the lightest thing on the menu and still can’t finish it! I’ve had to think carefully about where to eat out so there’s something lighter on the menu.

coll444 · 06/12/2024 07:21

Hi is anyone doing it by moving up every month? Im on 5mil at the min and I've ordered the 7.5 but now I wish I ordered 5mil and maybe stay on that for now, I started end of October and I've lost a 1stone 8,thanks x

NearlyNewHip · 06/12/2024 07:30

I'm moving up each month (using the bonus dose though). My losses are slow, 13 lbs so far after 7 weeks. So I'm hoping it's because I haven't found the right dose for me yet x Fingers crossed it's 7.5!!! Will be having the first 7.5 on 20/12

LumionaMoonsplash · 06/12/2024 07:32

I have the 7.5 in the fridge ready for my next dose. Because I take the extra dose, I end up having to order way in advance. I plan on continuing up the doses, staying at 15 until I'm close to my target and then move back down. My losses are slowing down which is annoying. I've now cut alcohol except for works do and Xmas day.
