I'm sticking with the 5mg pen for at least 2 months. At the moment I'm counting clicks to get me to 3.75. I might go up to 5 after Christmas - I'll wait and see how things are going. I went with the 5 so I had that option even if I end up throwing some away - they were the same price.

What's the price difference between 7.5 and 5? Could you order the 7.5 and only administer 5 or even 6mg?

There have been some people that have gone up with every dose but you can always take 5mg from your pen instead of the 7.5mg and stay at your current dose.

I will also be staying at 5mg for a second month.

I stayed at 5mg for a second month. But it’s absolutely kicking my arse - I’ve been up all night again with sickness and diarrhoea.

Has anyone gone back down to 2.5mg? How many clicks is that from a 5mg pen? I don’t want to give up when I’m almost there, but it doesn’t quite feel worth it when I can’t trust my farts.

It’s half the dose so 30 clicks. I have a 5mg pen but just using 2.5mg as still get diarrhoea every few days. Need to look into a prebiotic.
My weigh in today, lost 0.5lb. So 20.5lb in 7 weeks. Although I would have liked to lost more not too bothered as know it’s better to lose it slowly.
I am still eating plenty of protein and weight training as cos I am in my 50s a big concern for me is muscle loss. Even without taking this we lose 10% of our muscle mass with each decade over 40.

I'm on week 2 of 5mg and have just been hit with the sulpherous belches (that is such an appealing 'feature', almost on a par with the vaginal atrophy that can come from menopause 😂) indigestion and of course the dreaded constipation. I tried saurkraut yesterday on top of dulcoease and nothing forthcoming. I still seem to have lost 3lbs though, so a total of 1.5 stones in the nearly 7 weeks hooray! About to order my next pen and trying to decide whether to go up as MedEx assumes you will

Awwww sorry the sauerkraut didn't work for you....it's always been my 'thing' even before MJ when I need to get things moving (for some crazy reason, bolognese works for me too lolol).

One more thing to try is maybe a kiwi, cut into slices but with the hair still on (24 hour time delay for me then things 'exploded')

I have gone back down to 2.5mg this month, but I bought a 2.5mg pen so that I would be giving myself the correct dose.

As the month on 5mg drew on the side effects got worse, but because I was forcing myself to eat enough food it meant that I didn’t lose any more weight than on 2.5mg because I had the same calorie deficit each day!

I am hoping the side effects reduce, but also realise as I have lost quite a lot of weight in proportion to my body that the 2.5mg might be more effective than in the first month.

I did consider getting the 5mg pen, but worried that if I hit a plateau I would increase my dose, it happened for a week on 5mg but it was caused by constipation! Total loss in 8 weeks 1st 6 lb (4ft 11in tall)

Almost 2 full weeks into 5mg, due my 3rd dose tomorrow and it will also be weigh day.
lost 20lbs so far in the 5 weeks I had been taking it at my last weigh in which is phenomenal for me, with PCOS it will be a lifelong battle but whatever this is doing to my hormones is like magic.
I’m still having really good suppression but able to eat meals albeit in much smaller quantities than I had been. And no snacking at all. Had a bit of a boozy day this week for my Christmas party so I won’t be surprised if the scales don’t budge tomorrow however I planned to have a few drinks and even had a bit of my pudding, couldn’t finish it because I was full but definitely would have done if I felt I could manage it.

@NearlyNewHip I will try the kiwis thanks - are we back to the ball sack of yore? Failing that there is always sugar-free chocolate or sugar free haribos that are meant to have the same effect

@AnneinEdinburgh have you tried a double espresso?

@coll444 , I’m doing 5mg for pen 3 as I’m still getting suppression and losing weight too. I bought a 5mg pen as well so I don’t have to count clicks and won’t be tempted to move up.

another one who will order 5mg pen for the 2nd time, found good suppression and when hungry cannot eat a full portion so don't want to go up to 7.5 just yet.

I'm also sticking with 5mg pen. Just ordered 2nd one. Find suppression is good and still able to eat without nausea.

@coll444 Yes, I have moved up every month. Starting 7.5 on Monday. I may live to regret that though as I’m still quite full up on 5. We’ll see.

@TheChosenTwo So pleased that you’ve noticed a difference with your PCOS. Me too. I had my first period in years last week! I couldn’t believe it.

I’m taking my 4th dose of 5mg tomorrow, and a few weeks ago I was convinced I’d be moving up to 7.5 the following week. But suppression seems to have increased on 5 as the weeks have gone on. I get full really quickly, I have zero interest in snacking, I feel slightly nauseous most of the time. I’m guessing that it must build up in your system as the weeks go on, because I’m not getting my appetite back by Wednesday anymore. Thinking I’ll stay on 5mg for my next pen too.

I’ve just made the mistake of eating my lunch whilst fully engrossed in work, I was robotically lifting my fork to my mouth and eating. I’m now sat here (still working) 2 hours later and cannot move as I am so stuffed, it was only a Mexican tuna pot from Lidl with extra cherry tomatoes. It’s the first time I’ve done this, but I wasn’t aware when eating that I’d had enough and just carried on… I’m too full to even drink 😭

Can anyone help please? I want to do my bonus dose and have an insulin needle. However the markings are ml/Cc units. How many ml would be equivalent to a 5mg dose. TIA.

It's 0.6ml for a full dose of any strength MJ

There's liquid left in the open once your done your four shots. People are using that for extra / bonus doses.

I have moved up each month. Just had my first 7.5mg on Tuesday.

Each pen has 4 doses, but because they put extra in for priming each time, you can actually get 5 doses out of it. So a bonus dose. You can either hard twist the pen to break it, then turn the clicks round as far as it will go, or use insulin needles to extract the remaining amount. I prefer the latter as then I can measure how much I am taking. It’s usually slightly more than a full dose. I think I got 5.9mg from the 5mg pen.

Week 9 weigh day for me. Another 2.5lb off. Taking my total to 26.7lb. We went to the Thai for lunch. Managed a bit of chicken, veg and a bit of rice. Got the kids a KFC for tea and ate a mini fillet. No idea why as I’m so stuffed now it’s uncomfortable. I’ve got some magnesium citrate coming to see if that helps with the constipation.

Well done to everyone so far. We are all doing so well. Even with the smaller losses, they will soon add up.
