@Arglefraster snap same loss same time frame! Am now on 3.75 having found 5 too difficult to manage in terms of side effects. It feels fine, I’m surrounded by food but not interested in any of it. I fancy a drink now more than I used to, and have half a mini wine a night.

Twinsies 🤣
I've not been up to 5 yet, first 3.75 was this week. I'm finding the Christmas food planning even more of a drag than usual.... and I know I'm saying yes to the kids eating more junk than usual (because I can say yes to them but avoid it myself whereas normally I would restrict them to restrict myself ) which isn't a good thing although they're all slim, fit & will stop half way through a biscuit/bit of cake when they're full which has always seemed like witchcraft to me!!

EternalFatalist · 24/12/2024 11:56

Good morning and Happy Christmas/Hanukkah Eve!

It's a holiday miracle - I'm no longer obese! With a BMI of 29.9 and a weight of 12st 6lbs, I am now merely overweight.

Now begins the next phase of the journey to "healthy".

Wishing everyone a wonderful few days - it can be a tough time of the year, but hopefully we all manage to find some joy.

Darlinghag · 24/12/2024 12:40

Congrats everyone!

Wondering if I am going to regret jabbing sunday and not moving it earlier to combat the suppression!! Usually by tomorrow I would be ok to manage a small meal and snacks but feeling super full! Having been ill for about ten days, I havent had an appetite at all, not even a little, before my jab.

i just don’t want to be too noticed - its not like I have a want to eat anything outrageous right now!

WeAllHaveWings · 24/12/2024 14:22

@Darlinghag My suppression is all over the place just now with the change of routine Christmas usually brings. Ate quite a bit last night, not as much as I would have BM (before-Mounjaro 😂) including a slice of yule log with single cream without any problems.

Today, I couldn't face breakfast, and couldn't finish 1/2 a small bowl of lentil soup. I am hoping not being able to eat today it means I'll be hungry for Christmas breakfast and dinner tomorrow!

We are having Christmas day breakfast at 10am, then dinner won't be until after 7:30pm as ds is working.

hellohellooo · 24/12/2024 14:24

@WeAllHaveWings I'm so very similar today

Had a teeny bowl of Xmas pudding

Sausage roll

Cream

One Yorkshire pudding

Not able to eat today now

10mg

3stone down
4 stone to go

MJ is life changing

Darlinghag · 24/12/2024 14:32

@WeAllHaveWings i am doing the same, eating little to try and be more prepared for tomorrow! I think I am over thinking it and stressing myself out. Funny, its not even that I want any of it!! I just don’t want my mother to notice lol!

I have already gotten out of the christmas eve takeaway (everyone knows it makes me unwell 💩💩) and I’ve said I will arrive tomorrow after breakfast. Noone will notice the lack of chocolate snacking, but the dinner is harder to play off. I’m hoping I can rely on it being too busy to be noticed.

hellohellooo · 24/12/2024 14:36

Veg and meat always the best bet

So happy I have not had weeks already of gorging myself

Happy Christmas all xxxxx

WeAllHaveWings · 24/12/2024 14:49

@Darlinghag you have the perfect excuse this year - you feel better but your appetite hasn't returned yet / everything tastes and smells funny (covid did that to many people!) since being ill and you are really hoping it wears off soon and you are so pissed off you can't enjoy as much of all the lovely food......

Even ask to take some away to enjoy at home if your taste buds are back to normal tomorrow.

CatTraveler · 24/12/2024 22:53

So arrived at my parents this afternoon, not seen them since I started MJ and am 3 stone down (with another 5+ to go) I expected mum to notice/comment but she has said nothing, which in a way is good as I am not planning on saying to her I am using it as I suspect she will over think it and not let up about comments about it (trying to be supportive) but I am a bit down as I hoped she would notice.

WeAllHaveWings · 25/12/2024 12:55

Restless night with right lower stabbing back pain when I moved. Gallstones? Pancreatitis?........... or DOMS from bending over and dusting my skirting 2 days ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ (I was quite amazed I could bend and do that now so easily and did it all)

Waiting patiently for ds(20) to get out of bed to put "breakfast" on (he was out last night and not home until early hours, working today so needs his sleep).

Merry Christmas 🎄 everyone, from with WeAllHaveWings household (with clean skirting!)

alltablenochairs · 25/12/2024 14:29

From my own experience of having gallstones/pancreatis the pain is almost under your boobs (sorry for the TMI imagery) and radiates from front to back. Pancreatitis is exactly the same but on the left hand side. It really, really isn't nice and can go pretty unpleasantly wrong as well. As I found out the hard way.

If you're still in pain now then take yourself to a and e.

Thanks, ❤️ I'm pretty sure it was my skirting board cleaning "exercise" 😂

@CatTraveler I'm very similar

3
Down

Around 4-5 stone to go and not one person has noticed

Jfw82 · 25/12/2024 15:57

My Xmas present for myself was hitting 4 stone down on scales this morning. A nice to have Xmas problem of some clarity Thea bought for me that are too big (tho not so big not to be worn). And I've had a nice amount of food but don't feel overeaten ....

Wishing everyone a very merry Xmas !

hellohellooo · 25/12/2024 15:58

Just amazing well done

Happy Xmas all

Delighted to hear all the success and I'm looking forward to hitting more goals too in 2025

Darlinghag · 26/12/2024 10:26

Hi folks, merry christmas.

yesterday challenged me!! It was really hard to eat much, being ill has definitely messes up my suppression, cant believe I was considering upping my dose a few weeks ago.

I had the world’s tiniest dinner (some turkey, 1 pig in blanket, a spoonful of veg and a parsnip!), four mouthfuls of christmas pud and some snacks later on and ate a grand total of three quality street!

when I came home I managed a bag of standard size malteasers from a selection box and that was it! I think the day was so chaotic and at points, stressful, so it made me feel less inclined to eat!

today i feel hunger waking up though!

i woke up and weighed and I have lost a little 😂 but my big victory today - i hit a bmi of 39.9!!!

WeAllHaveWings · 26/12/2024 11:01

Well done @Darlinghag you are no longer morbidly obese (class III)! Very nice ice milestone and a great place to start 2025 targets. 🏆

We had a very quiet Christmas, ds was working so we had a full Scottish breakfast in morning before he went to work and Christmas dinner at 7:30ish when he got home. We were supposed to be visiting family with young kids during the day, but niece with health conditions ended up in hospital via ambulance and tested positive for a strain of flu a couple of days ago, now their whole house, including visitors, are ill so Christmas is postponed for them until they get over it.

I managed to eat well yesterday and finished my decent sized portions, even managed a small dessert and one (double) vodka and Pepsi max, first drink of alcohol and Pepsi max too in 6 months, it tasted funny so didn't have another. Played monopoly for the first time in years, unfortunately lost, but I didn't consume/miss masses of snacks and drinks during it.

Back muscle strain still sore today, as well as continuing weight loss I really need to sort out my lack of muscle strength/flexibility next year.

Just seen this this morning, a wee laugh....😂

Hi everyone! I've been reading this thread for a while and decided to take the plunge after all of your wonderful losses. I took my first dose today and despite having a needle phobia, I didn't find it too bad. Hoping that the side effects are minimal.

I'm ashamed to say my BMI is 53.4 and I want to start trying to conceive in 2026 so I'm hoping this medication will finally help me shift the weight. I've already found this thread so informative and helpful so thank you all.

CW: 22st 4
GW: 12st (still in the overweight category but can't imagine being smaller than this!)

Hoping within 12-18 months I'll be somewhere near my goal weight or at least in the overweight category on the BMI scale.

Feeling very nervous but hopeful!

You’re very similar weight and BMI to me, although I’m older. I’ve ordered my first injection, and want to get to 11 stone if possible as that would halve (!) my body weight. Although tbh anything less than “morbidly obese” would do, like you I can’t imagine it right now. Good luck x

Darlinghag · 28/12/2024 12:19

Well, saturday weigh in and I am 0.7lbs up from last week, and 1.9lbs up from my lowest weight this week, which was boxing day morning! Its all good though, its down to lack of water and while I haven’t likely gone over maintainence much, its been the kind of foods that haven’t done me any good, lots of salt etc in lower quantities.

haven’t cooked myself an evening meal since the 23rd and looking forward to eating normally again!

WeAllHaveWings · 28/12/2024 12:34

Last weigh-in of 2024!

End of week - 27 (5 x 2.5mg, 22 x 3.75mg)
SW - 21st 5lbs BMI 44.8
CW - 16st 5lbs BMI 34.9
Losses (2024) - 10,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,1,3,2,2,3,3,2,3,3,2,1,4,0,2,3,3,1,4,0
Total loss - 5st 0lbs (70lbs), 23.4%
Next Target - Will decide after Christmas/New Year

Weight has been up and down by over 3lbs this week - probably due to sugar and salt, but it has settled back down to a 0 loss/gain. Happy with that!

Hope you have all had a great Christmas week and you were able to enjoy time with friends and family and some fine food without any guilt or unpleasant side effects. Don't get disheartened by any slight gains, I'm sure they will settle down soon once routine returns in the new year.

Welcome to new joiners!

Anley · 28/12/2024 12:56

3.8lbs last week - Not as great as the week before but still a loss and I am hoping to hit a stone mile before NYE.

SW: 15st 6lbs
CW: 14st 8lbs

total loss: 12lbs

Bibulous · 28/12/2024 13:05

I've not lost anything this week which is fine. I've had some lovely meals with my family and I've found it easy to stop when I'd had enough. Next week I'll go back to more broccoli and less cheese!
