well done @MabelSpan great loss!!

@Blondeshavemorefun Vo2 is a fitness type thing your garmin tracks. It's an indication of your cardiovascular fitness estimated by your heart rate and exercise data. I used to have an excellent score around five years ago when I went regularly to the gym but it slowly declined more and more of the years so pretty proud to have built it back up so well over the last three months. And i feel a lot fitter!!

morbidcuriosity · 18/11/2024 16:26

Weekly weigh and jab day.
Starting weight 18s 6lb when I tried to diet on my own I was so happy when I once got to 16s8 but that crept back up.
So with a starting on 18.6 end of August, today I am 15s5lb and now just can't wait to see a 14 on them scales!
Hopefully in a few weeks I will.

I am on my 2nd 5mg pen, I have a 5 and 7.5 in fridge but think I will do another 5mg as its still working, got the bonus dose next week out of this pen, then I shall see.. but I think I will stick to 5 for now.

poppym12 · 18/11/2024 16:34

Does anyone experience a headache after increasing their dose? I moved up to 7.5 yesterday and the combination of rubbish sleep, lack of appetite and sheer tiredness has given me a banging headache.

owlyboo · 18/11/2024 18:32

Well done @morbidcuriosity

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/11/2024 18:34

@morbidcuriosity it won't be long till in 14. Same as I will be soon hopefully

@poppym12 I did have a headache in the beginning but ok now

But if tired and hungry the head throbs

Seeing the next weight bracket is always the best!! I can't believe the next one I'll see is the 11's 🫨🫨 that seemed like a life time away when I started!! (I'm still 6 pounds away but still it seems in reach now!!)

morbidcuriosity · 18/11/2024 19:08

@Blondeshavemorefun hey thank you. Your the poster who started same weight as me i think, I thought you had hit 14 already? . If not it won't be long till we do.. I was a massive 5lb loss last week and 2lb this week.. so who knows what's gonna happen next week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/11/2024 21:12

I was 16.3 starting mj but lost 1.1 on sw the 3mths before

So was 17.4

So now I've hit 3st I've joined them both together as was getting myself confused and mfp joined them

You are right. Sorry. I've still confused myself - I have hit 14. I want to get to 13

Think I was 14.2 last week @morbidcuriosity

I need to hit 13 13 to get into 13's

Trying to catch up, been a busy weekend!

@morbidcuriosity that's a great overall loss, well done you!

@owlyboo the Vo2 max score improvement is a great NSV!

Well done @Fuffedoff and @MabelSpan on losses too and anyone I've missed who weighed in over the weekend! And for those struggling with the MJ nausea, solidarity.

I tried 4mg this week as been struggling on 5. Nausea hasn't been as bad but it's still there. Like you @owlyboo a bit of it self inflicted by having a wee dram or two at the weekend!

No loss for me this week - 0.2kg gain in fact, which is no surprise because I had alcohol and ate out this weekend. But I am rather expecting a plateau now. Any further losses will be slow if any. My body may even want to stick around 67-68kg and if it does that would be ok. I don't want to get to a lower weight only for it to be impossible to maintain and I don't want to lose muscle mass either.

Had my consultation about maintenance with Oushk and they seem pretty well clued up about maintenance and tapering options so going to change over to them for my next pen, which will be back to 2.5mg. I'll split my current pen into two doses of 3mg to prepare for the reduction.

morbidcuriosity · 18/11/2024 21:28

@BBlondeshavemorefun think I'm getting you muddled up with someone else. Fuck knows.. who cares.. we all losers together! Lol.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/11/2024 21:46

We are indeed all losers 😂

I am in shock at how many calories are in baked beans

I had half run. Maybe 1/3 but counted iit as half and 184 calories

Faints

Good to read all the great progress. I'm off on holiday now and I doubt I'll be able to keep up with all your chat. But I'll find you again in a couple of weeks when I'm back. See you then.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/11/2024 22:06

Have a lovely time

@CrazyGoatLady amazing you have got your goal. How much did you have to lose

@Blondeshavemorefun I didn't have a huge amount to lose. I started the journey back at the start of the year, joined a new gym to get out of my exercise rut and lost a bit just with that. Then had a prediabetes diagnosis in July which made me want to make a bigger change.

SW (pre MJ) in Feb 2024 - 84.1kg (13 stone 4)
Pre MJ SW July 2024 - 82.4kg (13 stone) BMI 30.1
CW Nov 2024 67.8kg (10 stone 9.5lb) BMI 24.9
GW: 65kg (10 stone 5) BMI 23.9

I'm not sure if I'll get to 65kg if I'm honest - the last few times I've weighed myself I've been between 67.5 and 68.2kg. I will be ok if that's where my body wants to settle as long as my blood sugars remain stable and I don't go back to being exhausted and hungry all the damn time!

owlyboo · 19/11/2024 07:56

Thanks @CrazyGoatLady! I wish the rain would bugger off as if makes getting those steps and maintaining that score much less enjoyable!!!

I think like you said see where you body seems stable. No point in fighting for a couple of pounds. As long as you weigh weekly and keep an eye it will be easy to maintain 🤞🤞

Have fun @20bloodypounds

weaseleyes · 19/11/2024 08:47

Have a lovely holiday @20bloodypounds

MargoLivebetter · 19/11/2024 08:51

@CrazyGoatLady well done for getting there or as there as you want to be. I'll be really interested to hear how you get on with Oushk and maintenance.

WitchDancer · 19/11/2024 09:01

Morning all. Weigh and jab day today.

STS weight wise at 16 stone, but I'm ok with that. It would have been nice to have seen a 15 on the scales but there's always next week. I'm 1 stone 6lb down in total, which isn't as much as some on here but again I'm ok with that 😁

MargoLivebetter · 19/11/2024 09:03

👏@WitchDancer that 15 is very close now.

Fuffedoff · 19/11/2024 09:55

Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well. It's very cold today isn't it 🥶.

My appetite has been on/off over last week or so. I'm trying to eat enough but sometimes it makes me feel nauseous. Although I did make a small banana split at home last night as a treat 😁

I've been thinking, moving ahead that I'd like to lose a further 4kg by the end of the year. It would bring me down to 108kg.

I'll be stopping Mounjaro w/c 23rd December in view of me wanting to TTC.

It will be interesting to see how things go from there. I would like to continue losing weight as much as possible but take it slowly.

I've done a lot of the leg work already and overcome the hardest part (starting then continuing) and I'd like to carry on losing the weight, with or without Mounjaro.

I'm looking to join a gym over next couple of weeks but one with swimming pool/jacuzzi/sauna/steam room to give me something to look forward to 😁. The one I'm looking at is rather quiet and has extended opening times.

I'm also going to get myself out on longer dog walks and going to new places wherever we can. Our dog will be happy 🐶

I haven't actually had a proper coat that fits from before I started losing weight although I kept some from when I was lighter. I am going to try some on later and see how they fit. The only other thing I have is a dry robe .

owlyboo · 19/11/2024 10:56

Never mind @WitchDancer onwards and downwards next week!! You're so close!

@Fuffedoff 4kg is a very doable target by the end of the year. My 'aim' is 1kg a week. So far I've been very fortunate that it's always been that or more. Obviously I know at some point I'll have a STS or gain but it's always good to have a target. I feel really confident you will be able to continue losing sensibly after you stop MJ and begin TTC as you've have the goal of being as fit as possible before you conceive to keep you going! So exciting!!

Isn't to cold here but it's wet... I forced myself for a very drizzly, grey walk first thing.

Changinghabits1973 · 19/11/2024 10:58

Morning all - happy Tuesday!
I have just sat for a bit catching up on the thread since yesterday morning as hadn't had the time before now..

If i have missed anybody on their losses, NSV's, please forgive me.. there was a lot to catch up on !

@CrazyGoatLady pleased your maintenance consultation with Oushk went well; I am with Oushk (not for maintenance... way to go yet!!) but am so pleased that i changed to them - not only from a cost point of view but their customer support is second to none and are always there if i have any queries etc... can't recommend them enough xx
@owlyboo you have done so well ! Seeing the 11's will be fab and bet you can't wait ! congrats hun x
@morbidcuriosity you have done so well too ! Such an achievement... like me, can't wait to see the 14's... I think the 14's from 19's is the most i am looking forward to if i am honest - we can do this !! x
@Fuffedoff congrats on loss too - treating yourself to perfume is a great idea and i love the fact that for every 7lb lost you put double that amount in cash in a savings pot to treat yourself ... such incentive - well done x
@MargoLivebetter it is so encouraging to get into clothes that have been in the wardrobe hoping that in time they will fit better - way to go hun ! I am anxious finger nail biter / picker and when it gets really bad, i fiddle with my rubix cube !! Hope you find something that will help you x
@MabelSpan i really wish i had an Iphone instead of Android at times like this so that i could get the Shotsy app ! Its annoying for Android users, and think it would be useful for me right now in so many ways - congrats also on the loss - that is a really good loss this week ! Well done x
@Blondeshavemorefun Thanks for the recommendation of Ditto !! Have looked at that this morning and think i may order from them - like you i love Alien perfume and that could be my christmas treat to myself ! Also, loving the banana egg pancake idea - they looked fab !! Last night i did myself eggy crumpets - i got the crumpet thins (think they were 26cal each, had two, dipped in one egg and i dry griddle them for a few minutes and dipped in a bit of brown sauce ! They were yummy !! x
@NippyCrab morning twinny - hope the pooch is still doing ok - sorry if i have missed any updates... hopefully she on the mend and the antibiotics are now working for her - hope you're ok x

I have been to the pool this morning; got my snowy car on the road at 7.45am and had a lovely swim, sauna, steam etc ... was lovely being in the pool and seeing the snow fluttering down (not heavy) but it was nice ! So pleased i made the effort as i looked at the car, looked at the weather and thought nah... i just want to turn over in bed and go back to sleep ! But i didn't, and went - weigh day tomorrow so hope my motivation for the swim and food choices this week may give me a loss... we will see !

Sorry for the long post and ramble but had to catch up ! x

owlyboo · 19/11/2024 11:01

Thanks @Changinghabits1973 I'm so jealous of the snow!! It's just wet here 🙄🙄 well done for getting out and about in it!! Fingers crossed the scales show your effort tomorrow!
