Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

I have decided to get massively dressed up for every Christmas event this year.

Now don't judge my judgement but I live in London and no one gets dressed up. (Judgement coming) - so I've avoided it so I dont look like a fat woman from the provinces (I used to live in the provinces where everyone dressed up)

So this year I'm wearing sequin tops, gold trousers, silver leather blazers and the piece de resistance ? An actual 1920s dress see through crepe dress with only underwear underneath instead of the slip I would normally wear

Fuck it, I'm dressing like a total trollop

I mean it ! No one gives a fuck, no one looks twice. All the young things wear fuck all so I'm going to do the same

Under said dress I'm going to wear big pants and a lace bra as they're all the rage

HansHolbein · 09/11/2024 17:49

Love it! Please do it!

letshavetea · 09/11/2024 17:54

@LaurieFairyCake - you won’t be a Trollope and you’ll be fab. I intend to do the same , without the see through because I’m quite old when I get to goal!

LaurieFairyCake · 09/11/2024 17:57

Cheers 🥂 😂

This is the <naked> dress

letshavetea · 09/11/2024 18:09

That’s lovely. Presumably black lacy undies? Or similar?

HansHolbein · 09/11/2024 18:27

Fuck it wear nothing underneath!

LaurieFairyCake · 09/11/2024 18:47

Definitely black lace undies

Nudity is possibly a weeny step too far ... 😂

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 09/11/2024 21:31

Well I've made my eggnog but I've got absolutely no desire to try it.

I had been hiding upstairs away from some visitors and when I thought they'd gone I slunk back downstairs but it turned out they hadn't gone, it was just quiet because their conversation ran dead, and I'd taken not even 2 steps into the living room before one of them said "well I can't smell any eggnog", which then turned into 2 hours of me making both alcoholic and non-alcoholic eggnog which I guess is just custard really.

This morning I was back down to 100.30kg, with the lowest I've weighed so far being 100.10kg before I put some back on, so I'm just going to let this batch go to the masses. I'm too close to breaking my lowest weight yet barrier.

I'm going to make some more just before Christmas to give away as gifts and I've decided to gift myself a mini bottle so I don't miss out but don't fall prey to excess calories. I've been floating the idea of making some sugar plum eggnog which I can't decide if it sounds disgusting or lovely but I have got plenty of willing sample testers which will save my skin.

99.90kg, officially my new lowest! 🎉

I've set myself a soft target of 95kg by Christmas but a hard target of 98kg because I do think perhaps 95 is being unrealistic and faster than I would really like.

How fabulous! Your vintage dress is gorgeous and I am also liking the idea of a silver leather blazer.

I found a bargainous knitted Missoni dress in very beautiful colours on Vinted. Tried it on and it is much sexier than I imagined (very Jessica Rabbit), so I'll be slinking around in that this Xmas, rather than blending in with dark 'flattering' trousers and a baggy top!.

Congratulations @Jimmyneutronsforehead Flowers! It’s great when you see a shift, especially when the numbers are brand new!

LaurieFairyCake · 10/11/2024 11:53

rhubay

You slink away, you deserve it Grin

Also I love Missoni, bought so much off EBay

Paperwhite13 · 10/11/2024 12:31

NSV I was looking at the Ring doorbell footage and I no longer look fat, I actually looked quite slim. It was a v-flattering coat mind.

I've had it in my head that I'll be/ look fat until I hit the 'healthy' range on the BMI but I didn't look half bad! Current BMI is 27.3.

I think I may need to reevaluate my GW (it's 24lbs away) but I think it may be too low.

I definitely realise that BMI is a bit shit and shouldn't be the only factor I'm using (and it isn't), but I am eager to get under 25. Mainly to stop my GP from banging on about it at every appointment.

I hope everyone's having/ had a good weekend.

FarriersGirl · 10/11/2024 13:11

Congrats @Jimmyneutronsforehead 👏👏well done you!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 10/11/2024 13:23

Thank you everyone.

DP has said "so you don't want a Chinese tonight then" and honestly I don't.

If he said do you want a roast dinner with honey glazed carrots, home made Yorkshire puddings, cabbage and gravy or lamb shank and mashed potato I could probably be convinced tbh but I would rather have chicken and vegetables if he's only offering Chinese or fridge tea.

Oh, well done!
It's such a milestone.
I remember dancing a jig of joy when I got under 100kg.

🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations @Jimmyneutronsforehead 🥂

Your imaginary roast dinner sounds delicious!

Really annoyed, second pen that I've had that has completely jammed as I am administering the dose. Luckily I had insulin syringes handy or else I would have been stuffed as had no more of the needles that came with the pen. But it's a pain in the backside when you've literally got the pen in your tummy and it jams.

It’s generally the needle rather than the pen, would be worth buying yourself some extra of the little syringes.

SnacklessWonder · 11/11/2024 07:54

@Littleannoyingperson Luckily I had a stash of syringes so I could still do the dose. I did read it can be the needle isn't on properly or not primed, but it definitely was.

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 11/11/2024 08:19

Down to 99.75kg today which is probably like, less than a glass of water difference from yesterday but to break a record 2 days in a row is just unheard of before for me.

Officially under 100kg and officially under 16 stone! I feel skinny! Might feel different when I'm trying to get out of the car in the school parking spots mind you they are always a humbling experience.

The insomnia was back with a vengeance last night though but I do think that's also getting better too. Certainly less frequent.

OP posts:
BleachedJumper · 11/11/2024 08:36

Has the insomnia been a new thing since you started mj @Jimmyneutronsforehead or have you had a history with sleeping problems? I’ve experienced insomnia at periods in my life and it’s been bloody horrendous, so sending sympathy to you.

Big congrats on the continued weight loss, I’ve my fingers crossed for you that you were sitting on a set point weight and now you’ve broken it!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 11/11/2024 09:11

I've always had bouts of insomnia all of my life, but it's gotten worse with mj.

It could be a case of correlation doesn't equal causation because to be honest I've probably been going through one of the most stressful periods of my life.

Developed ptsd through a work related incident, got denied reasonable adjustments, had a long battle with them over that, took a lot of time off sick, left my job, DP got pancreatitis and kidney stones days apart from eachother, he got denied reasonable adjustments for a patellar tendon rupture he did last year and still has mobility issues due to (same company, who'dathunk) he's quit his job now too but thankfully is able to look for employment. I do tend to find the insomnia is usually like a mid-week peak though and seems to happen so many days after injecting and can usually feel it in my body like a buzz of energy that I just can't deplete even if I try so I usually know it's going to be an insomnia night even really early on in the day.

I have said to DP that if he's got an argument he needs to have finished having it by 6pm because just like too much caffeine after 6pm it will also keep me awake and no man is worth me losing sleep over. He can have a strong opinion about whatever he wants but when the clock says 5:59 he better start spitting his words out as fast as he can because 6pm is winding down time. When I'm a celeb starts on Sunday he'll have to dial it back an extra hour because I've got to fit my winding down in before the jungle comes on.
