Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

Anyone with Boots? I need to order a new pen and would like to know the expiry dates for their 7.5 and 10 (recent orders).
Thanks in advance.

SadSadGirl · 06/11/2024 22:01

IHateMozzies · 06/11/2024 20:38

My pen arrived today and I had my first dose. I have some exante shakes and and quite easily get through breakfast and lunch with only them, the hunger sets in on an evening. I’m hoping this will stop the evening hunger!

The evening hunger is probably because you haven't eaten any food all day.

Paperwhite13 · 07/11/2024 07:24

@Mencia

I got a 7.5 two weeks ago from Boots and it's September 2025.

MrsNessaSmithy · 07/11/2024 07:27

I need to join the midget MJ club 😃

my daily calories have to be less than 1000 to lose anything and I usually do 8-900 to allow for a little more on one of the weekend days. Throw in menopause and working at home and I need even less now than when I lost weight post divorce a few years ago.

I a, also wondering if there is a link with the shortie club and lower doses. I had side effects on 10mg and have not quite got back to full 10mg dose yet. I had suppression from day 1 of 2.5mg.

At 50lb down I have about 10lb to goal weight but it is coming off slowly now and am thinking ahead to maintenance. I really don’t want to regain and start the lifelong battle with weight and poor self esteem and self loathing for overeating again.

Paperwhite13 · 07/11/2024 07:30

I've done something I'd vowed to never do again... buy something in a size smaller than I am.

However, it's a gorgeous skirt and it was the only size they had left! I'm hoping to wear it to my work Christmas party in December.

It just doesn't feel like that much of a big deal now I'm on Mounjaro. I'll get there.

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 07/11/2024 07:59

I could start a WIEIAD thread for shorties on mounjaro if anyone would find it helpful alongside this one?

Oh you will! I remember buying a gorgeous silk Sienna Miller from M&S two piece outfit which I couldn’t fasten up. But I kept it.

Started MJ in June, took the outfit on holiday early September and wore it! Now it’s quite loose around the waist.

Im 3.5 stone down and almost at target. I love, love, love being able to wear nice clothes and looking like again, how I was before I got middle aged fat.

FarriersGirl · 07/11/2024 08:11

@IHateMozzies good luck with your journey. If I can give one tip as someone who has almost finished theirs, use your MJ to help you build healthy eating habits. Small portions, healthy home cooked food where you can, plenty of lean protein. Shakes and protein bars have their place, especially if you are in a rush but should not be a mainstay of day to day eating.

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 07/11/2024 08:36

I'm back down to 100.90 which is the second lowest I've weighed on mounjaro, before I put weight back on.

I'm having a low pain day today so I'm going to try and make it over to the gym, but I usually find I retain water for a day or 2 after going to the gym so I might not lose or might appear to have gained weight that will eventually flush away with enough weeing.

Putting it in writing will make me feel less despondent if I hop on the scales and don't like what I see tomorrow.

Also D&V has started it's way round our house. It's got my poor old nannan first, so she's been sent straight to bed with some water and an anti-emetic to catch up on some kip. DS licks everything, so I'm expecting him to be next, then me. Going to be carrying around a can of aerosol dettol and be using it as perfume at this rate 😭. But if I am sick at least ill know it's not a sudden adverse reaction to the mounjaro.

Hello all....haven't posted here for ages, I'm now 56lbs or 4 stone down since starting in June. BMI down from 40 - 32.6

I'm still stubbornly refusing to buy any new clothes as I'm not at target- so I bought a belt at the charity shop yesterday!

Hoping for another stone off by Christmas but that might be too optimistic.

Good luck to all the new starters.

MelainesLaugh · 07/11/2024 10:25

I haven’t lost anything in my first week on 7.5mg. Feeling a bit disheartened. I haven’t even overeaten, I’m finding I’m getting full very quickly, but it’s not shifting. My DH, who has lost about half what I have so far (nearly a stone to nearly two stone) is getting so many compliments on how good he looks but no one has noticed with me.

Just feeling a bit sorry for myself today

Chin up, it might be hormonal (if you're that age) I've noticed a clear pattern that I weigh heavier around ovulation.

Also, people may have noticed but might think it's impolite to say anything. I think for whatever reason people will comment on Mens weight quite openly.

Nobody other than my Mother (who is obsessed) has mentioned my weight loss (4st) honestly I'm quite happy about that as I don't want the awkward questions as I haven't told anyone other than DH about MJ.

I would never mention someones weight either.

Paperwhite13 · 07/11/2024 11:15

Thanks @TimeForATerf ! And congratulations on almost being at target!

You're so right. I went out at the weekend and actually asked a friend to take a photo of me (instead of hiding from all photos) and it feels amazing/ completely surreal 😅.

CreationNat1on · 07/11/2024 11:19

Well done everyone, I m reading with interest.

TheShellBeach · 07/11/2024 11:29

Anybody else feeling really slim despite being very overweight still?

I've lost 5st 8lb and I'm now 14st 8lb.

I'm still nearly 4 - 5st overweight, but I feel light as a feather.

🤣🤣

SnacklessWonder · 07/11/2024 11:35

I'm kind of the opposite @TheShellBeach I've lost 2 stone; goal was 2.5 stone but while I know I look better, I look in the mirror and feel huge still.

I think it's because I'm getting older and the weight just distributes differently. This time I don't seem to be losing much from boobs or belly so might need to accept this is my new shape.

SnacklessWonder · 07/11/2024 11:36

Away with work this week - can't weigh, can't track calories so just hoping for the best 😬 Quite hungry this week.

KrankyKumquat · 07/11/2024 11:55

@SnacklessWonder
I'm sure age makes a difference too. I seem to be losing inches in chunks and still have a 'thick' middle! But also my first 3.5st barely made any impact on size or appearance and no one really noticed (clothing size only dropped from 18 to 16 for example), but the last stone and actually, the last 6 or 7lbs, has really been noticeable and got me down to a size 14.

Pinkbendyman · 07/11/2024 12:04

Quick question for anyone who has been ill whilst on MJ - I think I’ve got flu - aching all over, migraine, feeling sick and a very sore throat.

I’m due my next dose of MJ tomorrow morning - shall I take it or postpone it please?

I get this too
I'm also glad people I know distantly or work colleagues don't comment specifically
Instead they say things like 'you're looking really relaxed' or similar for some reason

Possibly I am so blooming thrilled with getting this aspect of my life under control, nothing can upset/stress me at work these days! I'm too happy wearing small lovely clothes again that nothing could wipe the smile off my face!!

MamaBearH · 07/11/2024 13:00

I always miss the start of the new threads then wonder why everyone is so quiet lol.
I've lost over 5 stone in total since last Christmas (2½ since August on MJ) & not one person has said a thing. Obviously my parents who know I'm on MJ have said I look great but nobody who doesn't know has said a single thing. Even just a general you look good today or I like that outfit etc would have given me a wee boost. It's not like it isn't noticeable. I know we shouldn't want compliments but when it's been so hard to lose weight... I'd like to feel like someone has noticed my efforts ya know?! My clothes have dropped from a 4\5xl (Shein) to an xl which I think is around a UK 24\26 to a 16. I've still 4 stone to go to hit healthy. Where I live people are usually quick to comment on other people & to their face as well so it's not about being polite by not mentioning weight loss if that makes sense.
I've lost the momentum a wee bit lately and food just isn't exciting or something I enjoy. I guess it's a bit of a loss, not getting that dopamine hit from a takeaway or a favourite snack etc. Totm hit today (hard as always) so I'm in that funk.
I have my Dad's birthday dinner at the weekend which I'm going to enjoy as it's gluten free Chinese. When I've had it before I've gained 1lb which I've lost within the week so it doesn't scare me. The food is all cooked fresh by a family I know so it's about the healthiest takeaway around.
I need to up water\fluid but I'm struggling with it. Have an app & reminders etc but the actual swallowing is randomly hard. Like you know when you go off a food & don't want it? Well that's what any drinks are to me right now. It's so strange. I usually drink herbal tea, the odd coffee, home made boba tea, cold water (hate warm) & very rarely a zero sprite\7 up. I've never liked any other sodas, dilutants etc. Anyone else struggling with fluids or am I just a weirdo?

imnottoofussed · 07/11/2024 13:30

@Pinkbendyman I would still take it, no reason not to. I mean you wouldn't not take your hrt or the pill or blood pressure meds etc so no reason to not take the mounjaro.

What size clothes do you wear now?

I'm now in 16s (down from 24) and am convinced I look as thin as I did on my wedding day.

That's nonsense because I was a size 12 then. But I feel amazing.

I'd still take it.

I hope you feel better soon.

SnacklessWonder · 07/11/2024 15:28

@TheShellBeach I was 14-16 depending on shop and style etc, I'm more 12-14 now. I'd probably be more like a 12 if the boobs would deflate a bit. (I'm only 5ft 1 so every lb shows Confused)
