Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

Hello! I am going to order some mounjaro in the near future but haven’t yet

Those of you who were on the contraceptive pill, did you just stop taking it to take mounjaro? I’ve read it makes the pill less effective.

I'm on the POP and I've continued taking it but we use other methods of contraception to make sure we are protected. I've conceived on the POP before following an episode of D+V so I'm not taking any chances

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 02/01/2025 19:02

Sorry, I'm a day late but happy new year everybody!

Really glad that I found you all in 2024, and I'm so glad to have you for 2025 and can't wait for anyone starting to find us and find out just how amazing and supportive this group is and I hope it inspires them like it has me.

I'm on POP too and I follow their guidance which is extra protection for four weeks after changing dose.

That's really lovely @Jimmyneutronsforehead !!

I'm also so glad I found you all in 2024 - I'm in a much better place because of you all.

Searchingforthelight · 02/01/2025 21:18

I must also thank you all, while wishing happy new year!

It was through looking up other topics on Mumsnet that I found there was a new WLI Mounjaro

And it has changed my life!

You are all inspiring!! I am so grateful for you all!

femininomenon · 02/01/2025 21:28

I've only really lurked on this thread as started in October and have mainly used that specific thread but would just like to say a big thank you as the knowledge and advice shared on here has also been invaluable!

Happy new year all!

femininomenon · 02/01/2025 21:28

And seeing the big losses further down the line is truly inspiring!!

Interesting article in The Times today highlighting something I have been saying for a while about some pharmacies acting unprofessionally. MedExpress are the biggest offender but 12 others are under investigation
One TikTok influencer was saying that she had £19,000 in credit with MedExpress from sharing her code. Last month she just got an email from them saying they were reviewing their systems and are setting a maximum of £4k for credits so had reduced her balance by £15k with no notice or discussion.
It may be that MN have to stop code-sharing completely

Who is this influencer? I tried to find more information but nothing came up

GlueNoGlue · 03/01/2025 09:35

Happy new year! I’ve weighed today and lost the Christmas pound and an extra so I’m happy!

SW- 20.2
CW- 13.3
GW- 13.2

so close to the 7 stone now! Hopefully next week! Then I’ll have to have a think about my next goal weight to aim for :) 11.10 is ‘healthy’ BMI for me but it just seems a bit too low to aim for, I don’t want to lose too much and not be able to maintain it.

Has anyone else found they are bored of food? I want to eat but I don’t fancy anything. I’m just bored of it all.

Yes me too I have yet to eat anything that I'm not bored of. 5mgs seems to be having a cumulative effect on me. Each week I take it the less interesting food is.

I'm not 100% sure of all facts as I heard it from a live by someone else so will PM you when back from holiday. Remind me next week if I forget...

Haven't been on this thread for a while.

Did my last 2.5mg dose yesterday (have been titrating down through December) and then I shall be going it alone which is a scary thought.

Mainly because I've read a billion posts on here from people saying it will be impossible to maintain without MJ.

Regardless, I am stopping now and will see what happens. I never intended to be on it forever because a) cost and b) I'm already on so many different medications.

I am only just inside what would be considered a healthy BMI but it's a good weight for me. I look slim with a bit of chub to fill out the wrinkles, and it's more realistic for me to maintain. I am 8 stone 12lb and 24.5ish on BMI. I am happy with that! I've lost 2stone 10lbs since August.

Huge congratulations to you! I can't remember what height you said you were but I think it's similar to me..I am just under 5 foot and aiming for 9 stone. Only had 7 pounds to go before Chriatmas but have been away for nearly 3 weeks on holiday and going to give myself a week before weighing! Worried about maintenance now 😕

murraymcgill · 03/01/2025 15:36

So I've done my 4 weeks of 5mg and had bought a new 5mg pen but 5 hasn't been great I've been looking for sweets at night so I done a 5mg then a 2.5 (30 clicks) I'm hoping I've done it right ordered a 7.5 so I'm week 8 I weigh on sunday so far I'm 2st 3lbs done and I'm Overwight now not obese 😁

Azuresky68 · 03/01/2025 17:17

Happy NY everyone. Here's to a fabulous 2025 and congratulations on getting through a tricky time of year for many. I am looking for advice on maintenance please. Is there a separate thread for this? I am currently with Ousch, which offers 3 maintenance plans, but I have heard there are other suppliers offering plans too. Currently at BMI 26.9 and my goal is 7 pounds away, bringing me to 9 stone and a BMI of 25.4. I understand it's difficult to change supplier when you are below a certain BMI but I would like to explore the different options available. I am 68 and battled with my weight all my life and this time I really want to avoid regaining any. Many thanks

Pinkbendyman · 03/01/2025 23:08

@Azuresky68 well done on doing so well!

I reached my goal weight in November (BMI 24.9) and decided to move to Oushk beforehand as I was previously with Zava who hadn’t released any details about maintenance plans.

I’m currently tapering down (next 4 weeks on 10mg then 5 weeks on 7.5mg) and then I’ll decide which of the 3 Oushk maintenance plans to use going forward.

Hopefully others will be along to give you other options.

Azuresky68 · 05/01/2025 10:08

Any advice please? I am really undecided about going up to 12.5 mg but I have only 7 pounds to lose so it might be worth the extra boost to get rid of those pounds. I am going to Argentina at the beginning of March for 3 weeks (9 weeks away) and would love to be at my goal by then. I am not sure what I will do about injecting for maintenance while over there as there are 4 internal flights and don't know what rules will be re prescription drugs. I have travelled in Europe with no problem

I think you can take anything anywhere as long as you have a doctors note. I'd get one just in case and definitely keep going while you are away.

murraymcgill · 05/01/2025 15:29

OMG my scales say i put on 8lbs not a good week 🤦‍♀️

Paperwhite13 · 05/01/2025 17:36

@Azuresky68 I'd only move up to 12.5mg if the 10mg isn't working for you anymore. I have 6lbs to go until GW and I've just ordered another 7.5mg as it's working fine.

I'm doing this one last pen and then will go on a maintenance plan with Oushk (moved to them around 2 months ago).

SilenceInside · 05/01/2025 17:39

murraymcgill · 05/01/2025 15:29

OMG my scales say i put on 8lbs not a good week 🤦‍♀️

I would try weighing again first thing tomorrow morning and see if the scales still say that you're up 8 pounds. It really seems very unlikely that it's the case. If they are battery scales, do you think they might need new batteries?

murraymcgill · 05/01/2025 17:43

@SilenceInside I've ordered new ones and I'll weigh when they come

wohmum · 06/01/2025 23:43

@murraymcgill be aware that your new scales may give a different weight to your current ones so you’ll might need to adjust your total loss figures . I bought new Renpho ones before Xmas and they are consistently 1lb more than my previous ones

PermanentTemporary · 07/01/2025 06:02

Urgh I'm stuck. Still 2.5 kilos up on before Christmas and not getting anywhere. Not helped by pulling a shoulder muscle 4 weeks ago that makes any form of exercise really difficult. In a lot of pain.

Lloyds have strongly suggested I move up to 10 so that starts tomorrow. Not looking forward to side effects but I need to take action. It looks as if Lloyds are going to question me being on it for more than 6 months- I hope that will just be a review and not a full stop!

murraymcgill · 07/01/2025 09:55

@wohmum hi yeah u know I'm happy just to start at the new scales weight 🙃
