Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

You look beautiful xxxx

diian · 24/12/2024 17:35

Oh @Caffeineneedednow, you look stunning! What a beautiful dress. Enjoy your winter wedding and thank you for sharing a photo.

I started on 28th June (13st 4), hit goal (10st 8) in October. I have been maintaining since taking a weekly 2.5mg dose. I now weigh 10 st 2lb so have lost 3st 2lb altogether. I went on holiday last week to Granada for some winter sun. For the first time in years, I look really nice in my holiday photos and I am not cringing at them or cropping myself out!

It's xmas eve snd I haven't eaten properly for 6 weeks on MJ. I wanted some cheese and biscuits and they were delicious.
One hour later and I am regretting all my life choices.

GetrudeCoppard · 24/12/2024 21:15

We went out for a tapas lunch and all I could manage was a tiny croquette. I did have a cocktail and a large glass of wine though!

NearlyNewHip · 24/12/2024 21:48

Sat here with my cheese platter and crackers all ready to go....had 4 crackers and a few slithers of cheese. I tried! Hope the date on the cheese is okay, may take a while....

JamieFrasersSassenach · 24/12/2024 22:48

@Caffeineneedednow absolutely stunning!!

JamieFrasersSassenach · 24/12/2024 22:55

Happy Christmas all! Last time I weighed I'd lost 3st 1lb since the start of August - I'm so thrilled with my weight loss.

I usually jab on a Monday night but this week I'm leaving it until the 27th so 4 days late - simply because I want to have enough appetite to eat a nice (normal portion sized) Christmas dinner without feeling unwell afterwards.

I can't believe how differently I feel about food now and how unimportant it has become.

Wishing you all a great Christmas day, huge congratulations for your weight losses and a big thank you for your support this year!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 24/12/2024 23:02

All presents wrapped and hidden, the tree is still nude, and think it's going to stay that way. It is an artificial and does have pinecones and berries on so it doesn't look totally bare, think I can cope.

Wish I'd worn a fit bit to see how many calories wrapping presents like your life depends on it burns.

We had a chippy tea. Can't even get to any work surfaces in the kitchen as there's 3 adults trying to wrap for the resident child here DS and 4 visiting darlings tomorrow and every side was covered in rolls of paper, gift bags, tape, boxes, wrappers, pens, scissors you name it.

All that's left to do is tuck the elf in for it's final goodbye of the year, whack on the grinch and try not to doze off before DS so I can put the presents where they belong.

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good day?

I am currently suffering! I managed a lovely roast but the desert seems to have made me bloated, sicky and now my stomach is emptying at a very fast rate. So I’m missing Gavin and Stacey as I can’t leave the loo!

I did comment how much less I was able to eat too. It was quite noticeable. I just wish I hadn’t had that crumble!

Had a fantastic day, thank you.

Thought it might have been a bit much for DS but he enjoyed it.

I don't know what happened yesterday but it's like I grew a second stomach. We had stuffed chicken and braised brisket and it was delicious. We didn't do Yorkshire puddings though so it was just meat, vegetables and roast potatoes. Completely forgot the pigs in blankets, whoops.

Had a spot of sherry trifle just after dinner, had some profiteroles while we sat down and watched the new Wallace and Gromit, and had a mince pie warmed up with a blob of baileys extra thick cream on top for supper.

I did spend the rest of the day running after 4 little darlings so I have probably moved things through my system by being quite active and there was a lot of drinking going on, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic so I had abandoned the no liquids 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after eating rule too.

I'm not going to sweat it though. Surprisingly the brie is still alive untouched in the fridge and it's all I've been thinking about all week.

This morning I've had 1 cup of tea and feel fit to burst from it. DP has asked if we can order food from this ramen place that loads up your bowl with fresh beansprouts, bamboo shoots and pea shoots which is crazy because he is a complete salad dodger, he hates vegetables but we tried it last week and he was captured. I just drank the broth because the noodles are a bit heavy but the meat was delicious so that will probably be boxing day lunch for us.

I'm feeling ok today even though I spent the entire day drinking. I didn't manage all that much food for the first Christmas ever! We got the cheese out in the evening and I could only manage a few crackers. Unheard of!

Paperwhite13 · 26/12/2024 12:09

You and your dress look lovely @Caffeineneedednow ! Good luck for the big day.

That's my hope for my holiday next year @diian . Not dreading the photos from a holiday! Congrats.

I'm feeling okay too! I didn't go crazy yesterday but did enjoy myself a lot more than I have for the last six months. I've jabbed this morning and looking forward to normality food and alcohol-wise. Just had leftover turkey with a salad (which previously would have been unheard of).

I am thrilled to not have the usual thoughts of 'gorge now, you're starting on January 1st'. It's such a great feeling going into the New Year having already made massive lifestyle changes/ having lost so much weight.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

QueenOfHiraeth · 26/12/2024 13:16

I too had a much smaller lunch than normal. I put a smaller main meal than normal out for myself but didn't manage it all.

I'm usually a pudding fiend but had cocked up the dessert planning as I had bought them this year instead of making them and had not realised how small some were so actually ran out before I got any. Luckily, as I was the one dishing up, no-one noticed and I just had a small bowl of Haagen-Dazs ice cream which I enjoyed but it did not feel like too much.

I did over-consume the alcohol though and am paying for it with a loose tummy today but the last guests left at lunchtime so I can just chill out now.

GlueNoGlue · 27/12/2024 13:13

Weigh day for me. I’ve gained 1lb for Christmas :) really pleased with that as I’ve eaten and drank as I wanted to for the last few days. Its been nice to know that I can allow myself to eat the things I want, without the binge eating I’ve done in previous years.
3lb to go to hit my next goal of losing 7stone. Don’t think I’ll manage it this year, but I’m not worried about that at all. I’m really loving mounjaro at the moment, it’s a miracle drug!

diian · 27/12/2024 15:27

Wow! 7 stone @GlueNoGlue, Congratulations! 1lb is great for Christmas. Same here and I have enjoyed the Christmas food too. MJ is a miracle drug.

MounjaroMunchie · 28/12/2024 07:57

Morning all.

Week 26 weigh-in for me today (6 months on MJ!) and also my first jab after I had to miss 3 doses due to surgery (2 before the op and 1 after). I had just done my first 10mg dose when I got the surgery date and I felt a bit wary about going back to that after a 3 week gap, even though MedExpress said there was no need for me to titrate down, so I've counted clicks today and given myself 8.33mg, just in case.

This week's loss is 5.2lb and I'm not surprised, as I've barely kept anything down - I always struggle with vomiting after a general anaesthetic and it went on for days this time. Prior to that, I didn't really notice any loss of suppression in the time I stopped the MJ. I had a small 0.5lb loss when I weighed in a week after the first skipped dose, and a 2lb gain after the second, although I'm certain this was all fluid. It was about a day and a half after the op, and I was noticeably waterlogged after several drips and drinking gallons!

SW - 12st 7.0lb
CW - 10st 3.2lb
GW - 9st

Total loss - 31.8lb
Avg loss per week - 1.2lb
