Miss Mounjaro UK has the most up to date price comparison charts: https://www.missmounjarouk.com/

I will be back in the morning to add all of the information I had spent an hour on earlier on the original thread 23 that sort of went bust but I've just not found time this evening.

I'll cover UTIs again, as well as add the images from Miss Mounjaro, and the list of possible side effects.

Not quite the start to thread 23 that I had planned for, but I do think it's very important that everyone who had successful losses in thread 22 gets a huge congratulations and well done.

Happy thread 23 everybody!

Thanks everyone! Here's a before and after photo @Blondeshavemorefun

I used to think that this before photo was just a really bad photo but honestly I think that is how I looked.

Thank you @Slimstar13 that is an amazing loss and good advice for the next couple of weeks. I'd be interested in knowing how you get on once you have taken your last dose.

MiniCooperLover · 15/12/2024 18:02

I'm
Wondering if oushk aren't taking on new people right now as I can't get the consultation to move on from the initial bit.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 15/12/2024 20:53

@MiniCooperLover apparently there’s an issue with their website that means you have to be signed in to put orders through so new customers are struggling. I’m sure it will be fixed soon.

Suegmc · 15/12/2024 22:20

So interesting Slimstar13
im pretty sure that it was the carbs that caused your overnight weight increase .
When you take on a lot more carbs quickly your body retains water. You can almost feel it happening fortunately when you drop the carb intake the body looses the water - you pee for England.
phenomenal weight loss ! Fantastic Well done

Suegmc · 15/12/2024 22:25

Paperwhite13
you look absolutely amazing. What a transformation. inspirational! I think Mounjaro can transform lives but it’s not a walk in the park Well done you

MelainesLaugh · 16/12/2024 07:30

@Paperwhite13 you look amazing! What an achievement

I am now officially three stone lighter than I was in August. I still can’t get into many of my pre-fat clothes though so I can’t yet say I’ve dropped a size or two. I was definitely in denial about how much I weighed so it’s possible I was about clothes size too.

5lb and I’ll be in the 12’s for the first time in I don’t know how long.

I said I'd pop back and let folk know whether the hard twist method worked with this more recently bought pen. My partner twisted it last night for me and it worked! I was very pleased I love feeling thrifty and it means I now have 2 full pens lined up (medexpress always ask me to order quite early and I'm nervous to let it run on too far in case they say I can't order).

So I've now finished taking 3.75 from a 5 pen. I have another 5 to start next week and I'm planning to do 45 clicks for Christmas week, then 50 clicks for at least the next couple of weeks.

I have a 7.5 pen for after that and who knows what dose I'll take from that next year, but it's nice to know that I'll have options.

Planning a big push of good eating and exercise this week to make space for a bit of a relaxed week next week.

WorriedRelative · 16/12/2024 18:55

I didn't manage the hard twist today so just used a syringe. I'm slightly grumpy because I have acquired loads of spare pen needles so could use them for the hard twist but it was not to be!

GlueNoGlue · 16/12/2024 20:05

I’m really struggling today. If I wasn’t on mounjaro this would definitely be the ‘it’s nearly Christmas I’ll try again next year’ point. I went to Tesco’s and they had Grinch Krispy Kreme’s. Bought my kids one each and they don’t want them. So now they’re sitting in my kitchen taunting me. I cant throw them away because they were so expensive. But I don’t think I have the self control to not eat at least one?

NearlyNewHip · 16/12/2024 20:36

Calorie one and see how you feel when you know how many calories one is? If you have enough calories left.......go for it and chuck the other one (money is gone either way) x x

If you want one, have one.

You're not going to gain all of your lost weight from a donut.

Just be mindful that processed food can increase your cravings for more empty calories and high sugar and decide whether you think that's a fair trade off for that risk.

I've had 2 Irish cream minced pies this week. I don't feel guilty about it at all. But I have realised now I am hungry more than usual and have planned ahead to eat more protein based foods.

@NearlyNewHip theyre 377 each! So not as bad as I expected? I caved and ate one. It’s taken me to 9 calories over my calorie counter suggested calories per day and I feel sick so I’m hoping that’ll do the trick!

NearlyNewHip · 16/12/2024 20:56

Counting things, even if a bit over, helps me feel in control. That way i dont go off piste, I work out the calories, add them in my planner and choose to go for it...sort of thinking.

AllstarFacilier · 16/12/2024 21:25

This is the closest to Christmas that I’ve ever got without having a mince pie! I know that if I buy a pack that I’ll also buy cream, and I’m the only one in the house who likes them.

We bought a 6 pack of Ballycastle Irish cream mince pies at the beginning of December. Don't know if mince pies have a best before or use by but my cousin who is not dieting and I have probably shared the packet.

Not kicking myself over 3 mince pies, but I have stopped weighing myself over the Christmas period.

I did buy a selection of waxed cheeses that I thought I'd fancy eating by now and I don't really so they may be being gifted with some crackers to another cheese lover.

I've signed up with Boots, I chose to go back to 2.5 as it's been a few weeks since I've been able to do it and I don't love the metallic mouth/slightly nauseous feeling I would get with 10mg so I figured for over Christmas that's OK. Just need to hope I can collect it before the weekend when we head off for a few days. They're still cheaper than Juniper who suddenly kick started themselves into action once I hit the cancel button!

InspectorGidget · 17/12/2024 14:22

I'm over the moon to be 'staying the same' over Christmas. I'd usually put on about 10lbs at this time of year and spend January in a grump and not do anything until March / April time.

I lost 1lb last week and stayed the same this week.

I've had treats and am enjoying the season.

I've got a week off in January to do a big clothes sort and straight back to it. I also need to start toning up so will be making an effort to be back at the gym!

I'm in a totally different headspace - it's very liberating!
