I think 7.5 is too much for me.i am feeling stuffed and at the same time feeling like my blood sugar is too low- light headed and sweating.
Has anyone else experienced this?

owlyboo · 30/10/2024 11:30

Have you checked your blood pressure? Also are you keeping track of all your calories, and eating low carb, high protein. Try & stay away from sugary food, because of how Mounjaro works, it’s better to keep to a low sugar/ no sugar diet.

I’ve been feeling similar, I took my second dose of 7.5 on Monday night, last week it all disappeared by the weekend.

I'm also feeling like it - i had it slightly when i first started on the 2.5mg, I didn't experience it on the 5mg but now on the 7.5mg some days are really bad; i don't eat sugary foods and am mindful of low carb and high protein - i do think it is a side effect in my opinion and am hoping that once the first month of 7.5mg is out of the way, the effect will subside like it did on the 2.5mg; I have only just taken my second jab of the 7.5mg yesterday - but i volunteer on a wednesday morning at a community coffee morning and i have to say that I was so hot and flustered to the point of people commenting how hot i actually looked; I was even just in a t-shirt at the thought of putting a sweater on this morning made me feel even more nauseous! I can't put it down to being hungry either as it happens even at night when i have eaten but when i stand up it really hits me !

Weigh in for me today: -4lbs 🤩 taking me down to -2st 8/-36lb/16.3kg.

Weigh ins: -7, -5, -3, -2, -5, -5, -1, -3, -1, -4 ✨

Well done @SilverSprings510 - that's amazing ! x

Glittermoonlight · 30/10/2024 13:20

@Changinghabits1973 if you feel lightheaded when you stand up you need to check your blood pressure, obviously only when you’re feeling like that.

I am manifesting it @Blondeshavemorefun for you....
I am taking my loss today so appreciatively to lose the 5lb, as I am well aware that over the next few weeks I could gain, lose, stall, etc - but I also know that even though i have lost the 3 stone, since 9th August so just about 12 weeks, I have a long journey ahead of me - i am only a third now into this journey in terms of stones remaining to lose and the next few weeks or months may not give me the results i would ideally like - willpower is so important ... But I don't think i would have lost that amount in the 12 weeks if it wasn't for my swimming, walking and the amount of water I drink every day - i have only eaten one "bad" meal in the 12 weeks, which was when i lost my first stone and treated myself to a takeaway pizza and chips ! That reminded me that I could have gone straight back to that mindset again so the next morning i gave myself a huge talking to in the mirror and went straight back to the pool !

I hope you lose on Friday .... 😘

NippyCrab · 30/10/2024 13:50

Wooohooo @Changinghabits1973 and I meant to say yay for loss @WitchDancer earlier.

@Blondeshavemorefun i know im a wimp.

I was saying to DH how i feel a bit low again today and mega irritable so nah I can't do that again. The quetiapine increase 3.5 weeks ago really brought me back up to normal brain status and now today, 2 days after an increase jab I'm going down again.

I have a 5mg pen here, I really want this next stone off but I can only do a 2.5mg jab x

NippyCrab · 30/10/2024 13:52

@Blondeshavemorefun you will have a good loss this week, I'm conjuring up your scales and willing them to be good to you. X

MargoLivebetter · 30/10/2024 14:00

@NippyCrab you have to put your whole wellbeing first. You will lose that stone, but maybe just in small, slow increments. There is nothing wrong with that. I think dieting is a bit tiring generally. We are forcing our bodies to get fuel from our own fat cells, rather than food. It is much easier for it to access via food, so I think dipping into our reserves, however plentiful they maybe, is just that bit more tiring.

@Blondeshavemorefun I feel sure it is going to be a good week for you. Fingers crossed.

I'm hoping for the whole 1lb this week. So far no reason why it shouldn't be.

@mm81736 rather pathetically I had that on 2.5 and still get the sweaty, light-headed feeling if I haven't eaten enough. I eat really slowly when I have the feeling of too much fullness. When it was really bad, I'd make up a Huel protein shake and just slowly sip it all morning. That way I got fuel and liquid into myself without the vile sensation of being so full I wanted to throw up. Helped prevent the light headedness.

NippyCrab · 30/10/2024 14:19

@MargoLivebetter thank you, this will give me a chance to use the pen on the low dose as if I'm in maintenance and hopefully my dopamine will increase again. I want to be able to enjoy life and food but I'm coveting this skinny feeling. I will stay here while I'm on my pen and probably by then everyone will mostly be maintaining too. You guys are my support system ☺️ x

lookathatbookcase · 30/10/2024 15:26

I would just like to say that, nearly 3 months in, I am SO BORED with all of this - with remembering to inject, with waiting to see if there's a loss this week, with mainlining clear whey, with the dopamine drop, and so on and so on. The novelty has completely worn off.

BUT. It's working, and it's going to keep on working, and as others have said there's a comfort in knowing that if I was feeling similarly FUCK IT about dropping everything for another weight loss plan, I probably would; but I can just chug on with this one.

Also I had a moment of not recognising my own face in the mirror yesterday, in a good way - my features are starting to emerge again, and my cheekbones are back in play :) Onwards!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/10/2024 15:48

Thanks @Changinghabits1973

@MargoLivebetter sure you will lose a lb

@NippyCrab not a wimp. Just a fragile crustian

SilverSprings510 · 30/10/2024 16:21

Thanks everyone! Feeling good, but also with everyone else saying they’re bored - me too. However, I’d be struggling with a diet by now and I’m not so that’s good!

I am always absolutely freezing the first day post jab 🥶 sitting wrapped in a blanket at home!

Wingingit11 · 30/10/2024 16:23

@mm81736 wierdly I had a funny feeling on 7.5 and ate some carbs (which im limiting) and felt much better for it

NippyCrab · 30/10/2024 16:36

@SilverSprings510 I'd have totally given up by now, I think paying what we do for it also helps as well as the effects of the medication 😂 I'm cold today, I've got my oodie equivalent and it's so cosy. X

To all, maybe I'm just having a shit day and I'll be fine tomorrow.

@Wingingit11 I was like that on Sunday, I had some bread while cooking and was fine quickly.

I'm going to have pasta and left over pesto later with cherry tomatoes 🍅

weaseleyes · 30/10/2024 17:13

Diets are very dull, aren't they? I think I'm less bored than I usually am on a diet because it's easier to stick with it, so I can resign myself to dullness and not have it accompanied by so much frustration that I want to be doing/eating something else. Also because my daughter's been away and this has been a very work intensive time of year for me, it's been possible for me just to plug away in a very regimented and repetitive fashion, without being as tempted by social events and other people as I usually would be.

My daughter will be home for a few days shortly and I'm so looking forward to seeing her, but also weirdly panicked by how to manage food and drink! I don't want to either be strangely restrictive in front of her, and be some puritanical killjoy. But I don't really want to relax and 'treat' myself either, because I'm in a reasonable mindset and it genuinely doesn't feel like it would actually be a treat to indulge at the moment. I wouldn't begrudge myself indulging if I wanted to, but I don't fancy it much. It feels a bit like working out how to be convivial and have fun sober if you've recently given up alcohol. You know it shouldn't be necessary, but you haven't worked out another mode yet.

SammySays · 30/10/2024 17:22

Can I share my NSV’s with you all because I am on top of the world!

When I started MJ I was a size 24 which meant I could only shop online for clothes really. Today I went shopping in Primark which I haven’t been able to do for years as the clothes were not fitting comfortably. Today I bought quite a few pieces in a size 18-20 and they all fit perfectly 😊it was such a good feeling to be able to do that, I am over the moon!

Wingingit11 · 30/10/2024 17:27

@SammySays amazing work! So great when you have these moments - the long haul is really
starting to pay off for us all!

Thank you! I really am on top of the world right now. Also ordered a pair of trousers in a 20 which have arrived quite big so just ordered the 18 to try. It’s given me such a boost!
