If you've got a dry mouth you need to drink more water! Your body is using water from cells to break down fat - give it more. In life in general, if you feel thirsty you are already a little bit dehydrated. Drink more.
@weaseleyes (I think?) you asked about set point. That's not my area of expertise, I was a biochemist and understand the stuff that's going on (and is well proven to happen) at a cellular / biochemical level. That is one of the things I love about MJ. I understand the hormonal impact on my body. I know why it works. For me, and for others.
tbh I'm a bit sceptical about set point. It is a concept rather than a biochemical process. But it does have some grounding in science, and it can be a useful concept. I think the challenge to a natural set point of weight is that we don't live in an environment where 'set point' may have been a natural rhythm of our bodies as we go through months of feast or famine. We (mostly) are not faced with starvation. Instead we are offered foods that naturally or artificially stimulate taste buds with sweet, savoury, salty treats. That combination is difficult to resist, even when we are not hungry. Add in fat and we have the holy grail of deliciousness. But also the nightmare of a hyperstimulated appetite (whether that is our mouths craving sensation, our stomachs growling, or our emotions trying to satisfy some other need).
However, if we (I) can get to a healthier weight, if I can maintain that (within an acceptable limit), and if I can make choices that keep me there. That is good.
The choices that keep me in a better weight 'zone' might be about what, when, how I eat. Or more exercise. It might also be about judicious use of MJ over the long term. Maybe one injection per month, or 4 x weekly injections twice a year. Who knows?
