Morning everybody! Hope all is good in your world😊

@NippyCrab crispy bodies arent the best are they, at least we are doing all we can to help ours! I read something the other day that said losing 10lbs of weght is the equivalent of 30lbs through your knees, it didnt mention lower back sadly😕
@Blondeshavemorefun i wouldnt waste the 5mg left from your 7.5mg bonus dose, I would syringe it out and use it with your new 10mg pen to make up another 10mg dose.

@Glittermoonlight big congrats on not being obese anymore!

@20bloodypounds Love that chart and your explanation really makes things clearer. It must have been very stressful for you at your friends, thats tough to deal with. My brains sinister side has always been linked to my bad eating habits. Very self destructive. This is the fantastic thing about MJ and the reason I opted for this above the others, it turns off that part of my brain completely. No food noise, no self destruction, no cravings, it really is incredible and life changing for me. Oh and welcome to the lightweight wusses club!😊

@CrazyGoatLady well done on completing your boot camp so brilliantly! You must be chuffed to bits!😃

NippyCrab · 26/10/2024 09:14

Morning, how is everyone today?
I've done a @Blondeshavemorefun and been up piddling like a horse during the night ffs, never happened before. I've lost a pound though so that has straightened my chops up until next week!

@20bloodypounds I'm obsessed with tagging you in error 😂 thank you for replying. What dose will you increase too? I was going to do 3mg on Sunday from my bonus dose and in 5 days start the 5mg pen at 3 then 7 days 3.5? Aw I don't know tbh. It sounds messy when I type it. Thank you for the water in fat cells explanation 🙏

It's so nice to see posters who haven't posted in a while, I love reading all the experiences and updates. We are not alone and in this for the long haul. Us wimps will catch up with the hard-core jabbers and hopefully we can sail into maintenance or glide.

It's lovely here today, I'm gazing at my Japanese maple which looks like it's on fire with the sun shining on it. The pic isn't that great sorry.

What are everyone's plans? Ours is a walk as usual and shopping for some missing ingredients, I'm making lemon orzo chicken later with pesto spinach and parmesan. X

WitchDancer · 26/10/2024 10:08

@Glittermoonlight that's brilliant!

@VioletCrawleyForever 2 stone is awesome, well done!

@20bloodypounds that's really interesting, thank you for sharing. I think I need to up my water consumption!

Changinghabits1973 · 26/10/2024 10:15

Morning all - sorry have been a bit quiet over the last couple of days so just been reading some posts that I have missed over a cuppa;
Well done everyone who have had some NSV and losses on my catch up and charts, explanations etc over different things - they are extremely helpful ...

the last couple of days for me have been quite rough; I have actually felt the worse I have felt since starting this journey in August - the nausea has been so high; to the extent where i have only eaten literally 3 or 4 mouthfuls of chicken breast each day.. the nausea stayed with me all day and night, whereas before it passed after a while in the early days.. i have tried my best to deal with it but found it hard especially as I had meetings and journeys to make and to stay focused in them was tough !!

Can i get some advice?? I injected Tuesday afternoon - as per the last 2 weeks i have been finishing my spare 5mg pen and syringing to go up to 7.5mg but gradually; the first week i syringed .7ml, the second week i syringed .8ml and this Tuesday I syringed .9ml (I thought that was the 7.5mg dose which I am now supposed to be on and have my new 7.5mg pen ready in the fridge for next Tuesday) but having just read some previous posts, I think i may have got the dose wrong? Have i injected more than the 7.5mg ? I can't remember now who it was but someone posted that .2 is a third of the dose ?

I cannot do the maths on this, nor do i feel well enough to get my brain to work even harder than its capable of this morning

AdeloreSmore · 26/10/2024 10:20

@20bloodypounds that's a great explanation, thankyou for posting the water thing. I have sort of self proven this week as I went from losing a usual 3lb in a week to scraping 1lb off. (Same 7.5 dose) The only thing that changed was not drinking my usual 3 litres water. My meals and cals are pretty much the same everyday, the only change was being on site visits for 3 full days so couldn't drink (I refuse to use the trades portal loos on site so have to limit fluid intake lol)
Well I've weighed this morning and 2lb has gone since thursday. It may not be scientific but it convinces me haha!
This 2lb now gives me my 2 stone loss, so I am grinning like a cat with a strawberry flavoured asshole!!!
Hope you are all ok ❤️

WitchDancer · 26/10/2024 10:22

@CrazyGoatLady that's a massive NSV, well done!

@Makelikeatreeandleaf if I was in your shoes I would be upping your dosage now so you don't gain what you've lost. It's a learning curve so I do hope you're not beating yourself up about this. It's easy to say to try and control your eating but we all know it's not that simple!

Morning @NippyCrab! I'm having a day off from life today, which is really unusual. I've got a couple of house plants to repot, some leaves to sweep and a woolly hug to assemble. DH has been dispatched to the wool shop to get another ball so I know I'll have enough to finish it. First of all I need to haul my sorry touché out of bed - I'm waiting for pain killers to kick in first though.

weaseleyes · 26/10/2024 10:25

@20bloodypounds Yes, thanks from me too for the explanation of where the fat goes. Do you happen to know what happens to the cell itself? Does it get consumed with the fat? I know we have to grow new cells when we put on weight - do they empty and hang around all deflated or do they get used up/absorbed somehow?

This Is probably a really stupid question! I’m curious because whilst I know it takes 3500 extra calories to put on a pound, in my experience this is a new pound. A pound that I’ve weighed and lost before seems to go back on with far fewer calories and I’ve often wondered if there’s a scientific explanation for this. I think I have read a paper to this effect, but can’t remember the details.

WitchDancer · 26/10/2024 10:27

@Changinghabits1973 I don't know about the maths part but the nausea side of thing I can empathise with as I struggle with this too. It may help eating more than you're managing, even if it's something plain like melon or a yogurt as if your belly is empty it can make the nausea worse.

I've also found peppermint capsules and tea ready helpful with it too. I'm also considering anti nausea medication. I don't like taking tablets if I can help it (I take enough as it is) but if it's that bad then I would seriously consider it. Not eating really isn't sustainable!

WitchDancer · 26/10/2024 10:29

@AdeloreSmore 2 stone is brilliant, well done!

Changinghabits1973 · 26/10/2024 10:32

@WitchDancer thank you ... I sympathise with anyone with nausea more than ever...

I am usually really very good with my food intake so i know that not eating is totally unrealistic and not sustainable too - i haven't purposely not eating for any other reason bar just feeling so so crappy with the symptoms - but focusing at least on the hydration part and peppermint teas etc - as i say my food intake is usually good so didn't feel that as i felt so off for a couple of days it would particularly hurt as haven't done that since august starting... I am going to try my best to increase today though and have some yoghurt raspberries and granola at lunchtime then my plan for dinner is chicken omelette x

owlyboo · 26/10/2024 10:49

@CrazyGoatLady well done! That's an amazing NSV!!

You would increase that pen with counting clicks @Makelikeatreeandleaf sounds like you should have gone up to 7.5 rather than stay at 5.

@NippyCrab sounds yummy!

@Changinghabits1973 sorry you've been feeling rubbish. No idea on dosing sorry.

Congrats @AdeloreSmore

Happy Saturday to all! Weigh day today and I can't quite believe it but I've lost 5lbs! Whoop, and into the next stone bracket, hello 12's I haven't seen you for a VERY long time!!

2 more kg and I'll be at 3 stone... I actually can't believe that. It's feels very surreal!

Sorry I meant 2lbs until 3 stone! Only 1kg!

MabelSpan · 26/10/2024 10:59

@Changinghabits1973 Nausea is so miserable. This is what I have found to help. Taking cyclizine or kwells, both have worked for me. When I couldnt face eating, Nairns ginger biscuits and sucking hard boiled mint sweets made me feel better. In fact anything mint or ginger helps with nausea. I would force down some fage greek yogurt or slices of chicken or turkey breast just so I had something in my tummy, I found that eating something also lessened the nausea, even though I didnt want to eat.

As for your dosing, I am a bit loathed to offer any advice after my own cock up🙄but here goes...
Assuming you were taking your doses from your 5mg pen then
0.7mls = 5.83mg, 0.8mls = 6.66mg and 0.9mls = 7.5mg so I think you have gone up as you wanted to.

MabelSpan · 26/10/2024 11:03

@owlyboo Wow! Well done, thats a fab loss and a great moral boost for you to see the 12s!

Princessandthepie · 26/10/2024 11:08

This thread is moving so fast, I feel like I'm imposing! I just haven't had the time to catch up!

I've stayed the same weight this week, 13 stones 5lbs. I did suspect my weight loss would stall.

I have felt a bit hungrier this week but still within calories but I've had a stinking cold this week too so not feeling myself anyway, I'm glad to have survived.

Quite happy to have maintained this week and that this weight wasn't some false positive last week so I'm taking it as a win.

I hope you're all doing OK

Motnight · 26/10/2024 11:17

Good morning everyone! I have lost 6lbs this week. Only bought scales that actually work a week ago but am guessing that this is my whoosh after not losing much weight for a few weeks.

Husband and DD both telling me that weight loss is noticeable but no one else has. But I am just so pleased that this is working for me. Am still hugely overweight. But not overwhelmed at the thought that I can be healthy again.

Right - off to read all the messages on this thread now 😀

AdeloreSmore · 26/10/2024 11:22

@owlyboo 🤩🤩👏

owlyboo · 26/10/2024 11:26

Thanks @MabelSpan ! Yes definitely, the end seems more reachable now (still a way to go but reachable 😂)

@Princessandthepie glad last week was a good loss and you're pleased with the sts.

Well done @Motnight great loss!

Thanks @AdeloreSmore I am super pleased really wasn't expecting such a big loss this week!! Can't believe I'm only 2lb away from 3 stone... !

@Changinghabits1973 that sounds like a good plan. I hope today is a better day for you

@owlyboo well done! That's a massive loss in total

@Princessandthepie you're not imposing in any way. It does take some time to keep up doesn’t it

@Motnight happy new scales! Do you remember my saga of the scales and dodgy batteries? 😂

owlyboo · 26/10/2024 11:36

OMG! Today I tried on a hoody I've had in my wardrobe for ages. When I bought it I could only get a 16-18 which I haven't been able to wear as I was a 22-24 and it was skin tight!! So I got hubby to take a pic....this is 10 weeks progress.
