I finally told DH this week about the WLI. He was shocked, I thought he might have guessed tbh, but mostly he felt a bit cheated I think. He'd been feeling inadequate for being overweight (he's not obese). But now he knows it's been with the WLI, he feels less bad about his weight, which is partly why I told him. He clearly thinks it's an 'easy way', and he didn't say so, but I guess has lost some admiration for me losing the weight this way.
I also had coffee with some girlfriends, 3 of which are big, 2 are slim. The conversation ended up on WL surgery and WLI and I should have admitted it, but again, it was quite a negative conversation from half of the group, so I chickened out.
So overall, I'm still feeling a bit shit about 1) taking the drugs and being seen as 'taking the easy way' or 'cheating' and 2) that I'm still lying by omission to people.
In positive news, I went down to 2.75mg this week which has been much better symptom wise and I've managed to eat more. Although weirdly, I've been more light headed. Need to up the water I think.
@JustWalkingTheDogs I think people just stay on the 15mg once they hit that level. In the trials that's what they did, and continued to lose weight, albeit slower, but I guess that's partly because it's 6 months down the line, your body is more used to the drug and you have less weight to lose by then.
@Mydoghealsmyheart no tastebud changes here. I definitely don't get that dopamine hit from food anymore though.
