I lost 2lb over Christmas week which I was really happy with as I had a lovely Christmas dinner, some chocolates and alcohol consumed but everything was in far smaller and less frequent quantities, and yet I don't feel like I've deprived myself.
I'm really here to report on some NSVs which included feeling really good in the outfits I wore for our festive celebrations at home and with work. I'm a bit worried (having just checked my BMI & realising I'm still very comfortably in the obese category) that I was deluding myself about how good I looked but I guess it doesn't matter - I felt confident at the time.
I'm currently wearing a pair of very stylish trousers on that I bought in May 2021, and which fit me for just 2 months before I out-ate them. They are comfortable today - I'm sat down and they're not slicing me in half.
And after our friends left us following our NYE party, we threw out all the delicious leftover cheeses, dips & pate etc that I'd normally trough down, whilst promising myself the diet would start later in January once all the Christmas food was finished.
I'm lucky enough to still be on 2.5mg dose which is working very well on my appetite and giving me slow but steady loss.
I keep a spreadsheet of my weight going back to Sept 2016 (sad I know) and in that time my weight has been as low as 10st 8.5lb (WeightWatchers) and as high as 15st 3lb (when I started Mounjaro). I'm currently 13st 7.25lb and it's been 3.5 years since I've weighed this or lower. I know I've still got a long way to go but I currently feel good about myself. It's a really, really nice change.
