I meant 3.75, not 3.25!

Also graph for the graph nerds. Check out the last week - super frustrating!

Thanks @ShiftAMountain.
Up to a 2.2lb weight loss for the week, when it had been feeling slow, so dithering again over going up a dose. Arrgh.

Bellyblueboy · 09/11/2024 09:18

@Cocoaone mine is very similar!!!

Cocoaone · 09/11/2024 11:12

How weird that you went up after 3.75 @Bellyblueboy !

I went to the loo, so thankfully no drug intervention needed - phew!

Bellyblueboy · 09/11/2024 11:55

I had pizza the night before 😂. Huge impact on weight. All that pizza sitting in my stomach

Cocoaone · 09/11/2024 12:34

Ha! You were brave!

I'm feeling less sorry for myself now, as I've just tried on a couple of size 14 dresses that I received for Xmas last year but was too embarrassed to ask for the receipts to take back as they were too small. One fits lovely now, the other is very slightly too tight on the bust. So feeling a bit happier and swishing about in my new dress

Bellyblueboy · 09/11/2024 22:24

Oh no! 5mg is not being kind to me. The sulphur burps have hit today. The smell is fowl - and people are noticing.

anyone found any solutions?

Cocoaone · 09/11/2024 22:48

I've heard gaviscon or rennie. Or peppermint tea for a more natural solution

Have l you eaten that could have set it off? Fatty/oily food or onions can be triggers I think

Jabberwokie · 10/11/2024 08:39

Can I join in with the pity party too please?

Last week, I put on a pound. This week, I have managed to lose that and just half a measly pound more. So my total weight loss in 6 weeks is 11.5 lbs. I recall losing 1.5 st in 6 weeks on the Cambridge diet years ago, when my starting weight was much lower than this time.

But it is what it is and, as JustWalkingTheDogs said upthread, the difference with stalling on this diet is that I won’t fall off the wagon. I don’t need the willpower to keep going, as I have no urge to eat a great deal and absolutely no urge to drink wine, which has long been my downfall.

My minor victory is that I am now 199.5 lbs and I’m never, ever, ever going to cross that 200lbs barrier again.I had my first 5mg jab on Friday, so let’s see what that can do. If I can lose around the same weight in the next 6 weeks, I shall be happy.

Keep going everyone. We shall all get to where we want to be in due course.

Well done getting to one-derland @Jabberwokie !

AussieMum135 · 10/11/2024 09:56

End of Week 6 second week of 5mg. Not really feeling the 5mg, suppression not as good, nausea high but will keep going. Wore jeans for the first time in ages yesterday and didn't have to undo the button!
SW 84.2kg (13.25 st)
End of week 5 - 75.9kg (11.95st)
Loss 1.2kg (2.64pd)
Total Loss to Date 8.3kg (1.30st)
GW 62kg (9.76st)

Snoozysu · 10/11/2024 10:08

Well done to everyone, big losses, small losses, it all adds up.
I have had a good loss this week which is surprising as usually been just 1lb or 1 1/2lb loss this week it’s 2 1/2lb so very pleased as had some wine and pizza this week.
I don’t really count calories but usually know roughly my calorie intake is about 1000 yo 1200 or so.
Total loss after 7 jabs is 1st 3lbs.
I am on 5mg and plan to stay for another month as going on holiday at the end of month so would like to not be to suppressed, plan to eat healthy and not overeat, which at the moment seems doable.
I love how it gives me back control over what I eat, and enjoy what I’m eating
I am not very active but keep saying I will try and do more, So fx I will get out walking this week, or maybe do a exercise class, or does anyone have a suggestion for a YT video that’s not too energetic lol

KitsyWitsy · 10/11/2024 11:59

Took my injection last night so I could sleep through tummy discomfort and literally just woke up! 12 hours sleep!

Losing a steady 2lbs a week now. Which I know I can’t complain about but I am thinking of upping my exercise a bit and doing some daily walks.

Floofypuppy · 10/11/2024 13:01

Had a takeaway curry last night as friend was round. Injection day is Sunday so I was able to eat a decent amount - but boy do I feel full up still!

ShiftAMountain · 10/11/2024 17:49

It occurred to me earlier how 'normal' feeling like this is becoming.

Hungry but never ravenous. Small portions and I'm full. Hardly ever anything approaching a craving for sweet foods. Easy and simple to turn down treats etc. No hassle, drame, guilt or obsessive thinking about the treat I turned down.

I genuinely love it and it makes me a bit anxious to think of ever going back.

Anyone else feel that way?

OP posts:
Bellyblueboy · 10/11/2024 18:06

I don’t think I will ever be able to live without Mounjaro and that’s a bit scary.

if other people feel this way all the time that’s amazing. I am able to sit beside a tub of my favorite chocolates and not have any.

i got a bit hungry today and had an apple - then I was full.

i haven’t had desert or chocolate or ice cream in seven weeks. Not because I have resisted - I genuinely haven’t thought about them.

i stayed in a hotel last week. The room had little packets of fancy shortbread. I hadn’t eaten since breakfast and had an hour to kill before dinner. It didn’t even occur me to eat the shortbread. Amazing and weird.

Ozgirl75 · 11/11/2024 08:12

Totally agree @ShiftAMountain - I did something yesterday that I used to laugh at the very idea of - I forgot to eat lunch. I was just busy doing other things and then it was 2.30 and I was like “did I eat lunch today?”.
I also think I’ll be on it forever. I was out for morning tea today and had nice soy and linseed toast with butter and Vegemite and I just ate a slice and a half and then stopped.
I absolutely adore how this makes me feel around food. The weight loss is brilliant, but the fact that I barely think about food is the absolute best.

ChubbyMcChubfest · 11/11/2024 09:37

I've been much like you @Snoozysu, losing 1lb or so after the first two weeks of bigger losses, but I had a 2.25lb loss when I took my official weight on Saturday, which I was really happy with. Especially as I then started my period last night and so I'd expect to be a little heavier.

So after 6 jabs on 2.5mg I've lost 13.5lb,
SW: 15st 3lb
CW: 14st 3.5lb
GW: 10st 2lb maybe? I keep changing my mind.
Height: 5ft 4"

My mini goal is hoping to weigh 13st 7lb or preferably under by Christmas.

I've not taken any measurements which I know I'll regret in the coming weeks/months, but I was really surprised to have already noticed my jeans and work trousers are looser around my mahoosive stomach, and I can sit comfortably in them again. I can fit in my size 18s again which is great. I think it will need another stone at least before I can think about digging my size 16s out of the vacuum-packed storage bags though!

I took my 7th jab on Saturday lunchtime, currently sticking with the 2.5mg dose as it's working well for me with very minimal side effects but great suppression and steady weight loss.

I don't post on here a lot but I appreciate reading everyone else's posts. It's nice to see how well everyone is doing and very useful to read about those increasing their doses and how you're finding it.

Allmyfavouritepeople · 11/11/2024 10:17

@ShiftAMountain Yes, I feel the same. I'm hoping that because I've stayed on small doses I'll be able to carry on without mj. I've got in a real pattern of eating 3 small meals and a couple of snacks if needed.

I'll also continue weighing myself twice a week and adjusting accordingly. I've just dropped a dress size this week after losing around 19 lbs and this has made it so clear how I put on so much weight without realising. I was just going off my clothes and how I felt in my body but I'm up and down with bloating (not as much now) so that's a totally unreliable measurement.

JustWalkingTheDogs · 11/11/2024 11:00

After only losing 1lb a week (lost 4 in the first week) I've lost 3lbs last week. Which means I'm 1lb off a stone in just over 7 weeks.

Oddly enough I've upped my protein and my calories per week and this seems to have kick started my weight loss again. I'm on 5mg

Snapespeare · 11/11/2024 11:28

Checking in for weigh day
SW 17.8
Today 16.0.2
Goal 12.7

HOW frustrating is that 0.3 of a lb, which won't let me see a 15 on my scales - and that was stark naked (my pyjamas weigh 1.2lbs!)

lespameo · 11/11/2024 11:39

Took my 8th jab last night (3rd week at 5mg). Weighed myself this morning and I'm 12.7 which is the same as last week. I weigh daily and have seen the scales at 12.6 this week which is annoying! But i guess you do fluctuate throughout the week and I'm not going to sulk about it.
Hoping next week will be a 2lb loss!

Floofypuppy · 11/11/2024 15:36

I've got in a real pattern of eating 3 small meals and a couple of snacks if needed.

on MJ that sounds loads to me! I manage breakfast and one other small meal usually. Sometimes a Babybel or something for lunch!

I’ve gone up to 7.5ml today. No weight loss last week, in fact the scales say I’ve put on 2lb but I am ignoring their foolishness

Witchyandtwitchy · 11/11/2024 16:12

Had my 3rd 5mg today.
No change in weight this week, so hoping to see a shift this week.
I’m not eating a lot. Avoiding bread and UPFs and drinking as much water as I can.
Exercise is getting easier.
Just 4lb to go and I’ll be out of the obese category
