@rockingbird I'm expecting mine tomorrow too - I'm with you. Also slightly anxious. Anxiety is about side effects as I can't afford to be under par. Not worried about injecting. Sort of excited and a bit impatient dying to know if this will work.

I will 100% be taking the 5th bonus done before moving up…. I read On a thread on here somewhere that it’s 3.75mg (I could be wrong)… so il be taking that before going up to 5mg

@recklessgran same, not bothered about injecting at all. It's the fact I've signed up and now need to focus 🥴 do the work and drink water - something I'm useless at!!! When you taking your first dose?

@MustLoveCats it's Senokot (sorry I couldn't remember how to spell it!) and yes, I think it's off the shelf. Take two at night - took a couple of days to really work so don't take it if you have any plans!

I haven’t read up much on the bonus dose. Not sure how to get it yet. I should have a go though. Worth a try!

week 2 day 2 and I am ravenous 😑I can relate to the off taste in mouth too. Feels dry and paranoid I have bad breath.

@rockingbird I'll probably do it this evening I guess - that's assuming it does actually arrive today. I'm not really prepped food wise so I'll shop later on with appetite suppression and protein rich, low fat and low sugar foods alongside all the fruits and veg uppermost in my mind. DH on board after I gave him a proper explanation last night over our Toby carvery dinner. [I mentally dubbed it the last supper!] He understands I need to do this now and is supportive - he knows he will benefit in the long run as he has particularly noticed my alarming loss of mobility the heavier I get.

2 weeks in and weigh day for me. Another 3.5lb off. So around 9lb/4kg in total. I’m at the dentist today for a root canal so I can’t imagine I will be eating much today.

Forgot to grab any lunch for work today as in the office. Work normally has a fruit bowl and it does supply basic foods for staff so hopefully I can find something low fat. I think there might have been some low cal steamed rice meals so Ik have that if there are any left.

Trying to avoid the shops at the moment, temptation is less when I’m in them but don’t want to test myself to much

I used ozempic for 4-6 months and lost 2 stone (annoyingly supply was difficult so I could never increase my dose). I had the worst side effects and WL was slow.

Mounjaro is amazing! I literally feel no hunger. I’m only on Day 5 - I don’t have a huge amount to lose (another 2-3 stone). I must eat about 600 calories a day tops. I have not had one side effect.

aiming for 10.7 by Xmas yes it’s quick but I just want it off, I’m extremely active but can’t control what goes in my mouth usually!

I think the theory behind the bonus dose is they put some extra in the syringe for priming.

I've heard people buying insulin syringes and drawing it up, 10units is 0.1ml so you'd need 0.6mls or 60units to get an extra 2.5mg dose. There is definitely more chance of error in terms of air or over/under dosing.

2nd injection today. Feeling less tired now but have been a bit more hungry.

Hi. On my first pen 2.5mg
Dose 3 done on Tuesday this week, I’m kind of disappointed at my weight check- hardly lost any this week, and worried I may have messed up the injection week?! Compared to week 1 , week 2 I had less appetite suppression so ate more normally. Going to keep focused on a healthy diet and exercise this week and see how I go, but notable more hungry . I had heard it sort of ‘wears off’ and am starting to think about the 5mg. Total loss in 15 days is 7.9ilbs

Week 1
Start: 18st 6lbs
CW: 18st 2lbs

4 pounds off in week 1 which I am happy about. Effects wore off day 4 and whilst I didn't binge, I did eat in those days so had it continued to last I know the losses would have been more. I felt a very subtle effect, was able to eat meals normally but smaller portions, easier to stick to my meal plan and less appetite for snacking. Minimal side effects, slight headaches and frequent bowel movements, one day of fatigue.
Just took my second jab and fingers crossed for no negative side effects.

I just weighed in this morning and have lost 3.8lb in the first week.
Will do my 2nd jab this evening.

Morning all. Weighed myself this morning naughtily and I've lost 5ibs in 1 and half weeks! Over the moon. Feel like it's likely to be water weight but I'm eating so much less and stomach has gone down hugely.

So this is my first week and first 2 days I felt fairly normal but wow the next 2 days am on day 4 or 5 from injecting I’ve hardly had any appetite it’s so weird but in a good way!! I don’t feel sick or anything just not that hungry.

Some great stories here and welcome to the new comers to this chat. 3rd injection here yesterday some strong suppression almost straight away... however I only lost 1 pound during last week. Strangely it's not disappointing me as I know I am on the right path that's is going to work for me, I just need to be patient.

In the past that would have made me think "what's the point" but I feel totally fine about it on this. Feel slimmer and that's what counts

I feel the same. In this for the long haul and have faith that it will work.
It's interesting in the first few days when I had suppression, I found myself thinking "this isn't that hard, surely I can just do this by myself", then the hunger returned and I realised how much the medication was aiding me and made me more resolute to stick to the path.

Great losses everyone, well done. We’ve got this! Interesting about the suppression wearing off. It started for me slightly last night. I had a protein shake this morning and I feel a lot better. For all the knobs out there that say this is the ‘easy way’ … when it comes to suppression wearing off this is where the hard work actually starts because we can’t just rely on the drug to do it for us. We still have to make choices.

I’m hoping that it will work with the ‘hard twist’ that I’ve read about-but then I’m not sure if it’s more than a 2.5 dose. There are some videos on YouTube and I’ll have a good read on here before I attempt anything-I’ll probably get it all wrong!!

Hello! Jumping on to this thread and reading with interest, have just done first injection today.. at least 7 stone to lose. Felt wary of the first injectinon but now it's done, I feel happy that I've started and excited by all I've read so far
