Sorry @FlappingMadly you edited your post while I was writing mine.

No this is really not too much. It is possible soup landed on a full stomach as our digestion slows down, but that is why regular fibre is necessary,

Edited

You are making the same point as me, too much volume of food in too short time can make you sick due to slowed digestion.

Blondes is using her slimming world strategies to eat now but many traditional diets use bulky but low calorie foods like porridge to make you feel full. That's not always what you need on MJ due to the slowed digestion, something with less volume but plenty of nutrients might work better.

Well, in reality a soup after a breakfast some hours before is fine. And it’s not really SW. it’s healthy sustainable eating

JoyousSwan · 12/10/2024 12:27

Took my first injection of 7.5mg last night. Didn't have much suppression on 5mg even with the bonus dose and food noise had been increasing. The food noise is significantly quieter today and suppression is back.

itwasnevermine · 12/10/2024 12:29

I do think volume eating (I.e. large volumes of low calorie food) might not work on MJ, because of the slowed digestion and the fact food sits in our digestive system for longer.

Apparently sulphur burps are due to the food fermenting slightly. It's definitely possible that for some it might just be too much. Today all I've had is a coffee and I don't feel hungry at all- I'm well aware I will need to eat later (and eat good, lean protein and vegetables as a priority), but if a liquid coffee can fill me up to the point of being uncomfortable and 4 hours later still be making me full, it's definitely possible a large volume of food can do the same.

Porridge is a pretty heavy keep you full all day sort of breakfast though. I suspect lunch on top of it just resulted in too much food in the stomach at once, and so some came back up. I have experienced similar, nothing to do with calories just volume/time due to mj slowing digestion.

I'm not commenting generally upon long term sustainability, or SW just on what might have caused the vomiting.

You did mention SW but what does it matter. We all have different metabolisms and all affected differently. We all have differing views on what a portion of porridge is. The full feeling people refer to is often MJ whirring away working on the sugar spike. But we are all different.
And blonds is likely to jump on and say she’s got a bug 🤣

itwasnevermine · 12/10/2024 13:26

Well 6.35mg might have been a step too far (and I'm glad I didn't go to 7.5!) because my head is pounding and I feel so sick off a coffee and a protein bar!

weaseleyes · 12/10/2024 13:55

Commiserations @itwasnevermine! This is how I felt yesterday after my heady increase from 3.75 to 4.3. I had a rotten night of feeling queasy and having a stomach ache. I feel a bit better today, so will be scaling back down next time. Might risk going for 4 😀

I do track my food in an app and normally by this point in a diet I'm wrestling with the desire to edit out a few peripheral snacks or to reduce the amount of calories in a portion. Yesterday I found myself wondering how I could make it look like I'd had lunch so as not to be too far under my allowance.

Hi all, well done on the losses and hope those feeling rough soon feel better.

I’ve lost track of where I am. I think I’m due jab 10 but I’ve been spacing them out by 8 days. Firstly as the 5mg made me feel so rough and now because 3.75mg is working well and I’m trying to get back to a Monday jab day. My 3rd pen is here but my 2nd still has loads in and still clear.
I felt sure that I wouldn’t lose this week as I’ve not been eating very clean but scales tell me another 2lb off which really surprised me. I am 12stone and no next weigh in may start with an 11!! I started early August at just over 14 stone.
I still can’t get into the dress I’ve bought for an occasion in 4 weeks, so may have to looks at other options.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2024 15:29

@AdeloreSmore great loss. Well done

@Queezee great 2.5 has worked so well for you - with only 2st to lose in total I am surprised you had mj prescribed for you but guessing you had a high bmi

@FlappingMadly confused by your answer - you do think it's a lot or not. I didn't think it was much tbh and spread out over hours

I think you mean you agree with me but doesn't take a lot to confuse me. I'm blonde 😂

No! I was disagreeing that it’s a lot! Hope you’re feeling better.

FlappingMadly · 12/10/2024 16:06

I jabbed in the arm yesterday as I thought trousers down with a play date guest in house was risky. But I don’t feel a thing. Is that common for the arm?

I see you do feel better @Blondeshavemorefun which is great news.
@itwasnevermine commiserations. How big is your coffee??🤣 But a teeny part of me is envious.

@Usernamechangeforthis12 ooh, sounds like you’re on the way to goal 💃💃

FlappingMadly · 12/10/2024 16:13

I’ve just had my first PT trainer session at the gym and feel great! Well, feel great now I’ve had a long shower and am drinking a greek tea (I’m addicted) kindly made by my daughter and have informed hubby he’s making dinner.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2024 16:46

@FlappingMadly that's what I thought 😂😂

I jabbed in thigh for the first time to see if any different - be interesting if arm made any diff to you

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun

I did my bonus dose this morning (with a hard twist not needle) as I just wasn't feeling any effects anymore... good job I'm due to move up to 7.5 with my next pen!

AnnieMcFanny · 12/10/2024 17:02

Hi Everyone. I hope you’re all doing well.

I just managed to make a mess of my injection. The needle popped out of my tummy and some liquid slid down my finger so I then syringed another 2ml out of the pen with a syringe and hopefully I’ve had the full 5ml now.

AnnieMcFanny · 12/10/2024 17:05

am on omeprezoe actually

I was prescribed this a few days ago due to acid reflux that had me being sick a couple of times a day. Whether it’s the Mounjaro causing it or my new iron tablets I’ve no idea but the Omeprezole is working and that’s all I care about.

Ellepff · 12/10/2024 17:33

I’m the one who said they are using an app! I use healthi which is like WW or slimming world. I do the tracking to check I’m sticking more to fruit, veg, protein etc because otherwise I lean to heavy carb and I need to get my nutrients in. I also do it to check my calories. Sometimes I feel like I ate SO much and I’m at 400 so I squeeze in something more. Last week I thought I was binging and I was 1000-1500/day which wiped out that guilt and shame.

Wingingit11 · 12/10/2024 17:41

Hi everyone. Lost you and dont get notifications now it’s not my thread! Feeling a bit meh of MJ this weekend so back in a few days. Well done on losses and motivation elsewhere !

itwasnevermine · 12/10/2024 17:43

Managed some beans on toast for dinner. Two tiny slices of sourdough, half a tin of beans (the small tin) and some real butter. At least it's something I suppose

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/10/2024 18:49

@owlyboo hope 7# works for you. It's not doing a lot for me tbh but will see what happen over the next couple of weeks

Medexpress keep emailing and texting to say order next dose or will run our

Obv they are not used to us using the bonus

@AnnieMcFanny maybe as I take it anyway the sickness of mj doesn't bother me

@Wingingit11 it should be on threads you are on or you can watch it and will get a notification that way - (at top of thread)

@Ellepff and others how many cals a day do you try and have ?

Hey,

What peppermint oil capsules do people take for sulphur burps? And how much/how often and are they effective?

Thanks

:)

I drink peppermint tea and it seems to be working, not sure about capsules though. Hopefully someone else will come along that can help more

Ellepff · 12/10/2024 19:10

I find 900-1000 is the sweet spot for a good loss and not getting shaky (I’m 5’1). By 1500 I’d be maintaining or gaining.

Well done for another loss this week - i
hope you make it into your dress!

I’m a similar weight -12 2.5 and I’m so looking forward to seeing 11 on the scales in the next couple of weeks! Not seen an 11 for a couple of years at least
