@Wingingit11 I wish... still have another few stone to go to target... weirdly a lot of the weight has come of my face/shoulders!

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 20:35

@Wingingit11 also thank you! Missed that!

AdeloreSmore · 18/10/2024 21:23

Breaking News - I've just told the husband I am taking Mounjaro! He knew I was dieting of course & earlier tonight commented he could see I had lost weight. There was an actress on TV that looked very slim and gaunt - he commented that he'd read about Hollywood stars all taking this weight loss thing... so I spilled the beans! I know loads of ppl wont understand this, but it was definitely for the best until the moment was right.
When I met my husband 22 years ago I knew I had met my Mr Right. What later became clear was that he was Mr ALWAYS Right. Has a fecking opinion on everything. So anyway, he was a bit offended and said, he wouldn't have commented!! But hey, it's out there now so that's great 🙂

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 22:04

Glad you felt able to share @AdeloreSmore

NippyCrab · 18/10/2024 22:10

Aw that's good @AdeloreSmore and I'm chuckling at the Mr Always Right haha.

@owlyboo twit woo, that's an elegant profile and collar bone, you have lovely skin (I'm not being a weirdo!)

Hope everyone sleeps well and for those weighing in tomorrow I wish you pounds off. 😊

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 22:11

@NippyCrab thanks! Good skin, any compliment I'll make! No weirdos here! I weigh tomorrow so 🤞

owlyboo · 18/10/2024 22:12

I'll take even! Bloody I phone!

Snoopsteandcooper · 18/10/2024 22:43

I went to load the washing machine this morning and my wedding and engagement ring flew off into the machine when I flung towels in. I've had to take them off as they're so loose. I haven't seen my hairdresser in eight weeks and she mentioned several times how well I looked. Nobody has said anything before now, so I'm feeling quite chipper.

@Snoopsteandcooper great weight loss and great it's being seen!

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun

Let's see what tomorrows weigh in brings!

Redlightbulb · 18/10/2024 23:06

@Snoopsteandcooper
It's funny how hairdressers notice things. My hairdresser commented the other week if I had lost weight.
& I haven't lost a ton compared with how much I need to lose.
It is more noticeable in my face and top half.
Still wearing the same clothes but they are definitely looser.
Can't wait to get out of these 'fat' clothes.
As a yo-yo dieter, I already have next size down in my wardrobe waiting for me. lol.

wohmum · 19/10/2024 00:03

Can i Join the sts club ?
still 12 2 , 8.5 lb off in 6 weeks so was hoping to drop into the 11s today :(

just taken my third 5mg, suppression is still good and calls def under 1200.
I’m only 5’ 3 so want to lose another 2 st in total

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 00:10

@Redlightbulb being noticeable is great! I'm
Sure you'll be into smaller clothes soon!

@wohmum that's 8.5 more than not losing so it's a great loss, I understand if it feels slow it's frustrating but well done!

AnnieMcFanny · 19/10/2024 04:59

This is a happy thread. It’s so nice to be part of it even when people are struggling. It’s a kind place to be.

Re yesterday’s dinner. I had 2 small grilled chicken breast, broccoli and carrots, a wee bit of mashed potato and some gravy. It was delicious.

And today it’s
Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs and one slice of toast.

lunch - it’s a family lunch at my sister in laws and it will be catered there’s so many of us and I’m going to stick to the Biryani, salad and a dollop of yogurt on the side. And no doubt she’ll sit there and tell the person next to me to put more for your aunty, get her some of this that or the next thing, but I’ll just say I’m saving room for a dessert and that will be the end of it. She won’t know that I’ve just had some fruit and a couple of dates with coffee.

Dinner - I’ve no idea but I am fancying sushi.

Down another 3lbs this week 🙌🏼

NippyCrab · 19/10/2024 09:33

Morning,

Its a sunny Saturday here, I was all geared up for an early walk but the dogs have decided they are having a kibble coma 😴

It's a lovely wee thread with everyone sharing the highs and lows of weight loss and life @AnnieMcFanny

NippyCrab · 19/10/2024 09:36

Fab loss @lmmj15 💪👏

WorriedRelative · 19/10/2024 09:45

Gosh this thread moves quickly! 24 hours away and so much has gone on!

Well done everyone with your progress!

I need to do some trying on of clothes. I'm booking a winter holiday but planning my wardrobe could be tricky as I don't know how things will fit in another month. I'm hoping I can still wear what I wore last holiday and maybe get into a few things that have been too tight.

Might need to fire up the sewing machine to take one of my dresses in though.

doingitthistime · 19/10/2024 09:46

Morning all. After being so rough last weekend with diarrohoea I was reluctant to take my 5mg Tuesday so had 2.5. OMG, I was so hungry Thursday night and Friday I ate everything, meals, biscuits chocolate etc and my stomach was full but still demanding more. Couldn't cope so took another 2.5 before bed and this morning have struggled to eat a banana and cup of tea. This stuff truely is magic, but it scares me thinking about what will happen if I ever have to stop.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2024 09:55

@Redlightbulb lovely your hairdresser noticed the weight loss

I'm the same as in same clothes. A bit baggy but def not ready for lower smaller size

@wohmum that's still a good loss but I def know how hard and soul destroying it can be to sts. Hopefully next week you will have a whoosh

@AnnieMcFanny it's a nice thread. Have a nice time with you family

@immj15 well done

@NippyCrab still ninja to me 😂
Scuttling across the rocks
Dog here also on snooze alert. Slept 1030/930. Had a wee. Breakfast and now laying back on my bed

We are having a lazy Saturday

@WorriedRelative sun in winter sounds lovely

@doingitthistime so the first 2.5 didn't seem to work and was hungry but the 2nd did

Sounds like you need to do a dose of 4/5 in one go

OP posts:
itwasnevermine · 19/10/2024 09:57

Lazy Saturday is on the cards for me today, but I've managed to bin off the crutches for walking round the house!

It's so funny how the suppression varies from week to week, I feel it full force this week

WitchDancer · 19/10/2024 10:04

Morning all! I have a day off today with nobody needing me to do anything. This is a major rarity! I plan to potter, doing a few bits and bobs around the house and garden, which I'm really looking forward to.

I'm actually doing ok on the 5, with none of the sulphur burbs or nausea that I had last month. I'm not loosing weight though, which is a disappointment. I'm going to keep plodding on though and see if I can change up my eating habits.

doingitthistime · 19/10/2024 10:07

@Blondeshavemorefun yes I had been on 5 for 4 weeks but was wary this week due to last weeks random reaction. Will be back on a full 5 next week.

Princessandthepie · 19/10/2024 10:31

This thread is moving at lightening speed!

Hope you're all OK!

Steppes on the scales this morning and I've had a little whoosh!

Down 2lbs since Thursday so 10 weeks today since my first injection and I'm 2 stones and 3lbs down!

So all happy here besides the stonking headaches!! I did buy some electrolytes and that has been helping but not getting rid of them completely.

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 11:03

@AnnieMcFanny have a nice time at your sisters.

@lmmj15 well done on the weight loss!

@doingitthistime it is a worry about stopping, I just hope that once I'm at target I'll be so determined to stay there will power will kick in!

@itwasnevermine glad you're starting to be able to get around a little easier!

@WitchDancer hopefully you see a change in the scales soon!

@Princessandthepie congrats on the weight loss! Great progress!!

So weigh day... week eight and I've lost 4lbs!!! Whoop! So that's two and a half stone altogether with my nine I lost pre MJ! And also I have just nudged my way into the next bmi category!!! 🎉🎉
