@owlyboo congrats that must feel massive to move into that category 🥳

JoyousSwan · 19/10/2024 11:10

Well done everyone with your losses this week 👏 it's great to see! And if you've sts, keep going! Your losses will get going again😊

I've lost another 1lb this week 😊

AdeloreSmore · 19/10/2024 11:18

Brilliant losses everyone 🎉 The world's gonna be all of a shiver with all these fabulous collarbones emerging!!
I did my measurements this morning and have lost 4.5" bust 4" off my top belly (menopausal women everywhere will know what i mean by top belly i think!) and 5 " from my waist. I am very smiley today ☺️

Pinkjenny · 19/10/2024 11:21

I'm having a really strange day.

I took my bonus dose yesterday, think I got about 6.5 out. Suppression is intense.

However, I feel absolutely drained. Work has been intense this week, my teenagers have run me ragged after work, this period is heavy and painful, and today is the first day I wish I had food to comfort me.

I don't want anything, don't get me wrong, but previously I'd have curled up on the sofa with a series and a giant bag of buttons Blush

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 11:48

Thanks @Wingingit11 it does feel good, surreal if I'm
Honest! Every week when I weigh and it goes down I'm like 😮 even though I've been working so hard with diet and exercise. Doesn't quite feel 'real' yet.

Well done @JoyousSwan

That's fabulous inch loss @AdeloreSmore I wish I had measured! Finally took some pics in underwear this week for some comparison but didn't do any at the start. Wish I had now!

@Pinkjenny sorry you're feeling crap! You can still curl up on the sofa without the comfort food. Hopefully that'll still do the trick!

Summoning up the will power to go out for a walk. Had a few wines last night so slightly fuzzy!!

weaseleyes · 19/10/2024 11:49

Sympathies @Pinkjenny. I think it's hard to know what to replace the comfort of food with sometimes. I mean, I can think of lots of things I enjoy doing, but some of them feel like rather earnest work compared to the instant soothing gratification of just allowing yourself to eat something.

What does everyone do instead? Or should we just learn to delay gratification a bit more?

(And huge - or not so huge - congrats to @owlyboo )

Pinkjenny · 19/10/2024 12:09

Thanks both. I think it's important to acknowledge that this journey isn't always going to be easy or linear, no matter how good it feels to finally feel better about oneself.

I did feel like quite the professional extracting with my insulin syringe though 😂

Wingingit11 · 19/10/2024 12:16

@Pinkjenny you do feel powerful doing it that way don’t you😅 feel better soon! Lots of viruses around too

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 12:27

Thanks @weaseleyes !! As I ordered three months worth of pens my next sad fat photo when I order might be slightly less sad and fat!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2024 13:02

@itwasnevermine glad off crutches

@WitchDancer maybe you need to go up to 7.5 is not losing weight but doing same thing

@Princessandthepie well done on loss

Are you drinking enough if lots of headaches tho that is also a symptom
I had them with 2.5 but not since

@owlyboo you have had amazing losses. Well done

@JoyousSwan well done on loss

@AdeloreSmore great NSV with inches lost

@Pinkjenny awwww bless you. Go to bed. Have a snooze or read and have a little bit of chocolate. A small bit won't hurt you and tbh unless never ever going to eat again then body needs it sometimes when have periods I find

I took photos (not good and show many lumps and bumps and maybe one day will show) and measurements

Glad I did as obv measurements show that I have lost weight along with the scales

Just clothes don't really seem to changing unless I over stretched them so much that bigger then really was

Everyone seems to be buying /getting into smaller clothes but not me 🥲

I guess when we stop mj we cut down and maybe give ourselves a cut off limit of 4/7lbs and if gain that that diet for a few weeks to lose it

Throw away all larger clothes so don't leap and creep into them

Pinkjenny · 19/10/2024 13:08

@Blondeshavemorefun Thank you, you're very kind.

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 13:13

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun If you've been measuring and you've been losing inches then I would guess that clothes were probably tight to begin with. We're all guilty of squeezing into clothes! I'm sure they'll start to fall down any day now!! And yes that's my plan when I get to goal weight, to continue to weigh weekly and if I put on then cut down the next week and so on. Also to obviously continue to eat less and better like I am now to hopefully avoid that! When I lost weight last time I maintained for years and I genuinely think if Covid hadn't have happened I still would be maintaining now. It was such a catalyst for my weight gain and then it was just one big downward spiral from then!!

WorriedRelative · 19/10/2024 13:16

Don't despair Blondes clothes sizing is so weird. If you are losing on your measurements then the fit of your clothes is changing it can just take a while to get into smaller things as it depends how you carry your weight and where you lose it from. Also how stretchy your clothes are and how tight you like things.

At least you aren't spending a fortune on new stuff!

I'm not noticing a huge difference in my clothes but I think it's because I lied to myself and forced myself into clothes that were far too small for me

weaseleyes · 19/10/2024 13:37

I'm still wearing the same clothes, but that's mainly because I tend to wear rather shapeless loose things anyway. I largely work from home and not in a field where there's much pressure to dress up if you don't want to. Even when I'm a healthy weight, I tend to find my weight fluctuates by a few pounds either way quite easily, and I hate feeling constricted or self-conscious in tight clothing. So at the moment, I think my baggy clothes are just a bit baggier. I'm mainly worried that I tend to develop a lot of holes in stuff as I have quite a limited wardrobe (at this size, anyway!) and keep wearing things for gardening, decorating etc when I really should be getting changed. Also, cats are evil. But I don't want to replace anything until I absolutely have to, it's hard enough affording the MJ!

I think even when I lose more there's still going to be a lot more of me than there used to be, as I expect to remain generally larger and flabbier, so I'm not expecting to be twirling around in tiny clothing. It would be nice to buy the occasional thing nice item, though, and feel I was safe doing so because I wasn't about to balloon up again.

Pinkjenny · 19/10/2024 13:41

I was the same @Blondeshavemorefun

Some of my clothes are huge and have been sold on Vinted now. But most of them just fit me now (some are still too tight) because my clothes have been so tight for years. I've not worn jeans for a couple of years because they've all been so uncomfortable, whereas now I'm back to wearing jeans most days.

I've ordered a dress and a jumpsuit for a gala my husband has in November and a Christmas night out. The jumpsuit is a little snug but I just keep imagining myself emerging wearing it at Christmas and seeing people that haven't seen me in ages. That's keeping me going after the debacle of my first gain.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2024 13:45

Think you are right @owlyboo 😳😳😳😳

Same @itwasnevermine and @weasele yes - guess too tight /but baggy and loose

I'm def not going to get into skintight leather trousers 😂

But still can't get into my trousers - up thighs. Not tummy still

Prob be another 2st. Maybe when I am 13s or prob 12 lol

FlappingMadly · 19/10/2024 14:29

I’m in same clothes and the tops just hang bettor and finish lower. I still can’t get into my smaller trousers which is quite depressing. But it’s weird - I can already see smaller trousers, my Boden wide leg ones eg, are going to be too big and voluminous once they fit me.
Lots of posts to catch up on but I saw lots of NSVs and weight loss!
Great job all! 💃💃💃💃

Fuffedoff · 19/10/2024 14:49

Afternoon!

As if today I am officially 2st down since 23rd August. I thought I'd do a face comparison from then until today.

I think I look less bloated in the face definitely.

Onwards and upwards!

Wingingit11 · 19/10/2024 14:56

Congrats fluffedoff - Huge difference In your face for sure

Wingingit11 · 19/10/2024 14:57

@Fuffedoff I mean 😅

NippyCrab · 19/10/2024 15:38

Omg there's lots of blethering happening since this morning 🤣😊
Amazing losses of pound and inches too. There's so much happened i can't tag everyone because I'll be up and down the thread like an Alton Towers roller coaster 😄 seeing who said what.

I can see a major difference @Fuffedoff 😊
@Blondeshavemorefun clothes are shit! Honestly the best advice I've ever had was someone saying that it wasn't that my body was the problem but the particular clothing item wasn't suitable for my body. When the weight starts coming off it always seems to be in the places we don't want it too. Or rather we do but would rather it came off the most noticeable big parts, like bellies.

I went a lovely walk to a place i haven't been for a while, I used to go every week, about 3 times a week but they started doing some work at that particular entrance so it's been kind of out of bounds for a couple of years. I stomped along to music Stevie Nicks, ACDC and some current charts so this next 2.5lbs will come off, I'm visualising it melting away and I will get to my 2 stone halfway goal.
The dogs had a mucky time of it 😄

owlyboo · 19/10/2024 15:49

Well done @Fuffedoff big difference!

Ah looks lovely @NippyCrab I just got back from a 5 and a half mile stomp blasting the tunes in headphones also!

AdeloreSmore · 19/10/2024 16:10

I was really looking forward to a lush dog walk today in the sunshine but it's so sodding wet and flooded everywhere here in my corner of Somerset - it wasn't at all enjoyable as I had to look down more than forward! Might try some very dense woods tomorrow if its nice again!
